- Fibersteel has been developing and manufacturing aftermarket parts for original and reproduction Porsche 550 Spyders, 356 Coupes, and Speedsters for over 20 years based out of their small shop in Southern California.
Russ first got his start in fabrication before he could drive and ever since has dedicated his life to improving his craft. Learn his story from his first fabrication job to where he stands today working with his Son Nick, in the family business.
Love your work... My first car was my Nanna's 1963 VW Sedan (Notchback) and I came home as a baby in my Dad's 1961 356B. We still have the 356 today.

Awesome!!! Ever since I saw the documentary On JAMES DEAN that was made several years after DEAN'S FATEL CRASH I was amazed by the 1955 PORSCHE 550 SPYDER!!!! I've picked up books about these spectacular exotic race cars nicked named ( THE LITTLE GIANT KILLER CAUSR THEY WERE WINNING RACES BEATING LARGER , BIGGER MOTOR RACE CARS!!! In my opinion these were the most beautiful cars that PORSCHE EVER MADE!! IVE SEEN A Beck 550 and a cheaper kit with VW motor at a Texas has station going to a local car show!!! And I read that when James dean bought his car that year 1955 Porsche only shipped 8 Spyders to the UNITED STATES!!! 2 years ago I watched the MECHUM AUCTION ON TV and a 1955 550 Spyder SOLD FOR 2.5 million dollars!!!! My only chance would be to get a used BECK ,!!!!!! And those have gone up in price !!!! THANK YOU AND YOUR TEAM FOR The beautiful cars your company build!!! Good luck SIRS!!!!!!

Super cool and well done man! I took my son to the Porsche museum last weekend for the first time and I couldnt peel myself away from the 550. I've owned 911's in the past and now have a 991.2 Turbo but the 550 is super special. Great video and great story. I assume that is your son with you on the ride. Be well and rock on! What tires are made today that are the closest to the original Dunlop tires used? Looking for some for a Beck Spyder.
