If you don't have one get yourself a high pressure melling pump, its super worth the investment, along wtih a good oil pan. Those Fbody pans are no good at the track. The melling pump you want is part number 10295 and its $131 from summit. A good affordable pan is the TSP 81075 "retro fit low profile" pan its a copy of the holley 302-2 oil pan, its $262.

I am confused, I have heard that you want the high volume melling, not the high pressure..I think it's the same part number but 55, not 95. I am not saying you are wrong by any means just curious if I heard wrong. Any insight would be much appreciated. Thank you

With a TH400 burnouts start in 2nd gear, no 1-2 shift in the water box. You need a transmission catch can, flexplate shield and transmission shield. Also a SFI 15 driver suit. This is how people get hurt.

Honestly I was kind of bummed when the stock mr2 gapped the stock rx7. Man that seems like forever ago but then again it hasn’t even been 5 years.
It’s weird being a subscriber for that long because I feel like I get to know you and you have no idea who I am and never have met me. Such an situation if you think about it. The car is working really good it had the head gasket issue but most likely that was a old issue and still ran it's P.B.with what your going to improve on it a 7seq. Is around the corner and for me a low 7seq and am talking about a really low 7seq one's it's haves it's break in a good tuning section I know it will run a low 7seq with time maybe a 6 that will be allsome.

The simplest way to fix this. Add oil. You're sloshing.

Transmission fluid would be just about boiling from the time on the trans brake.
That Transmission is probably already hurt. Should try putting another quart of oil in the engine to stop the oil surge.

I run an fbody pan. Well cuz I have an fbody. But I just run 7qts and never have a problem

Yeah overfill the oil because you have to think about oil sloshing back when you take off and also pushes way forward when you are hard on the brakes at the end. Remember Cleetus was having this problem with Ruby and he added a extra quart of oil before getting a new oil pan with baffles ans the pick up should be towards the rear of the csr for when it takes off hard the oil pick up will pick up oil lol
@@tomfnyep6929 same here I was losing oil pressure at the top end of my runs at 7k rpm and started to lose oil pressure. And would also have a dip when I launched. When I do oil changes now I just put 7qts in and don’t think about it again.

I run a similar set up with a f body pan and you can remedy this by running 7 quarts of oil and up to 8 if needed.

Gen 4 5.3 blocks are what you wanna use man... L33/lm4 are nice but they aren't gen 4 5.3 aluminum nice and they all seem to develop some stupid low oil pressure issue. if its a computer thing, just need to put a 24x reluctor on the crank or use your current one and a ls2 or whatever front cover with a 1x cam sensor. You can swap reluctors without a tool, just need a m8 bolt/nut, scribe, and oven to heat the new reluctor wheel.
That all-wheel-drive car is good-looking and fast
I been saying just hit up TKM in North Carolina and get a Black Sheep engine they come in 3 different stages and the stage 1 has made over 1100hp and the stage 3 makes right at 2500hp so stage 2 makes right around 15-1800hp and also NC is the place to be for backside of the track No Preps they pay small tire 30,000+

be careful staying on the trans brake that long, youll burn the converter up and or the trans, cause that fluid will spike to hotter than a mf anything past 8secs, glad to see this thing running though, looks good and sounds great

I am intrigued by the sound of it. I expected something sounding like a bunch of crotch rockets. however, interestingly enough, it has a tone similar to a v8. I don't hear it and immediately think rotor.
