Above and below the CLOUD FOREST of Mindo E C

In this video, the second from Ecuador's amazing Mindo Valley bird and butterfly paradise, I cross the Nambillo River by cable car to go further into the famous cloud forest.
Renowned for its 470 species of birds and 1,200 species of butterflies, the forest is a hiker's dream, offering serene mountain views, cascading waterfalls and rushing wilderness streams.

Beautiful place. That looked like a fairly treacherous descent to the river while trying to film. My butterfly story is from Busch Stadium , July 1978. Blazing heat. Had a butterfly land on me mid-afternoon. It stayed about 30 minutes or more. I am greatly enjoying your videos.
