Hi Mahima: This is a very nostalgic snack : my mother used to make this for evening when we got back from school. I am not sure if my boys will like it . No harm trying a small quantity though. How many kozhakattas did you get for 340 gms of flour? One suggestion- it would be helpful if you can give the link of this organic stuff you use.
Mam I have a doubt , why can't we just add uncooked jaggery and coconut filling in the kozhukatta ? Any reason for cooking it ? Pls do share your knowledge
I too always think about that. I usually makes at home without cooking jaggery and coconut. May be just to remove the impurities comes with the whole jaggery.I’m using organic powdered jaggery. One more thing if you cook coconut in jaggery syrup I feel it brings out a different flavor and it’s sweetness also doubles .

When you add directly without cooking, jaggery oozes out from the filling, which spoils the texture
