Been carrying wiha screwdrivers in my toolbag for industrial control panels for about 25 years. They have some magnificent hardened tips on the normal insulated high voltage screwdrivers.
I have the Wiha Tradesmen 26in1 ultradriver and it lives on my belt all day, as a low volt tech it’s incredibly handy, and handles my screwdriving except precision work. I recently purchased the security ultradriver bit set so I’ll be able to swap out the torx and hex for the security variants because I run into a lot of them at work. You can buy sets for all the different ultradrivers for $15 directly from wiha, I recommend getting a backup set to match your driver just in case you loose a much used bit, that way you can replace it right away instead of waiting on shipping.
Really good advice! Thanks!
@@maxlvledc I lost the ph1&2 bit today at work and went hunting for replacement bits, wasted a lot of time looking on KC tool and amazon, you just so happened to post a couple hours after I ordered new bits from wiha.
Whia screw drivers are awesome. Work got us the insulated one, very nice. Really dig those fix-it sticks thou.
Look in to the Klein Tools 14 in 1 screw driver/nut driver model 32314. For roughly $15 you get 6 nut drivers and double sided bits and all fits in to a medium size screwdriver with a rotating end cap. Good multipurpose screwdriver for the money and EDC.
Yep! Check the full list, it's in there. I bought these because they represent an extreme. The Klein is excellent value
I bought it and Made a discovery, the bits are extra short...so it's a no go.
That wiha looks perfect for my toolbag, not much of a chance it gets in my pocket though. The fix it thing I could totally carry all day at work
I like the fix it sticks kit! Wolf Tooth also has bike tools that could be EDC. They make a bit kit made to fit in handle bars ..and a bit holder pliers made for bike chains, that is nice and flat, and would be real nice if it was made with a regular pliers head....
I saw that! In fact it's already on the list in description. I can't buy them all, so I had to be selective. Wait till you see the microdriver I found!
Very nice overview! The tools look very interesting!
Wiha make some really great tools. So much thought and care has gone into that design ! 👍
The Fixit stick is a very clever design too 👍
Wiha is very very good, especially for the money
Really enjoy these EDC videos. I'm on the hunt for an alternative for EDC scissors. Find Leatherman and Swiss Army too small, and normal scissors too large.
Oh boy...then I hope you can wait another month...scissors come after the screwdriver video

Engineer PH-55 is very nice.
@Jonas V funny you mention that, I was checking those out. Cheers.
If you pause on 8:30 you can see that Fixit sticks holder has hex slot in it,
I assume you can shove the "stick" there and turn it into regular strait screwdriver. Not sure how well it would work since it's relatively soft.
I noticed that, doesn't work sadly
Yeah that's exactly what I was thinking. If you look at the first pic of it on Amazon you can see a metal piece in that spot. What's that do?
@@maxlvledc I see. A bummer, but still seems like very solid bit driver. Thanks for the vids!
Hey man, love the new video. Out of the three screwdrivers, the FIXITSTICKS interests me a lot. Love the WiHa btw, they're very good. But I think I would EDC the FixIt's more. And one more thing, I think the bit compartment on the FixIt might actually serve or designed to work as an inline handle for the driver. I think I saw a hex slot on one end, probably on both, not sure. But anyways, great review video once again. 🔥🙌🏼
Tried it, didn't work
I came to ask about the in line option too.
@@edc-n-stuff It could definitely be done, I think I even have the right bit to make it work.
I do have the wiha ones which are excellent. But the best vde is the pocket max :)
You shoud try to get you hands on the pb swiss insider. You'll love that!
Link???
@@maxlvledc sorry, youtube seems to delete my answers. Look at toolguyd
24 in the handle and 2 if you just leave one in the tip
I like the fixitsticks screwdriver
Do you if leatherman is moving their manufacturing process overseas?
No idea, pure speculation. Would be cool if they committed not to though
It looks like the fixitstick has a hole on the end. Can you stick one of the metal pieces in it and use the bit holder as a handle?
I don't think so...but I want a 1/4 inch bit to connect them in series!
Batman has the wiha ultra driver on his belt.
Now I understand....🤔🤔🤔 life's mysteries are coming into focus...
Anyone know if the Wiha bits fit in the fixit sticks? Or does the double ended nature make them too long?
Yes, they are too long
"I never consider tools that require proprietary bits..." as he shows you a driver that requires proprietary bits... FAIL (also, those were not spare bits, they were additional bits that are not currently present in the tool)
??? Not only can they use the double sided bits...which are super efficient...it can also Store and use normal ones as well...no idea what your referring too
I think I'd save my knife blade and use a razor knife to open these clam shell containers. YMMV.
If I don't use what I have...why carry it at all?
@@maxlvledc - Point taken. But when I get a clam shell order in the mail, I'm at home with easy access to razor knives.
@@maxlvledc hell flex the beautiful beluga
Unless it’s a self protection knife (which most of us have no idea how to use) you carry it in your pocket to use. I.e. open packages, cutting apples, etc. I agree. Why carry something you won’t use?
@@eseymour355 this is exactly why I sold all my knives over $300
You keep talking collection. You gotta show use how you store, and organize all this gear that flows in.
dude..its like a full time freeking job lols
