They had the syncro thing where you could control a pokemon in S/V.
It isn't so far off. Just repeating the same fighting style like in legends inside a city? they will do something new and maybe you're right.
maybe it's just a few buttons to press so it auto doges or something but... eh who knows.
They could definitely build off of the syncro machine to be able to control the pokemon in battles.

... they were very clear that the trailer did not include in-game footage. This is CG content developed to announce a game is being worked on; no one's commenting on this aspect of the trailer because there's nothing to comment on. The statement made in this video is akin to watching one of the release trailers for the TCG and believing the cards would come to life in the same style as the Yu-Gi-Oh! anime.

It's not the case. A trailer needs to be exciting not just standing around. If you heard of Castlevania curse of darkness, same thing for that trailer. Even graphics can be different
I'm just taking what I saw and talking about it. Also of course the graphics aren't going to look like this.
Fairly certain it is going to be just like legends arceus considering how well that game was received.
