Dave, I think you have to do a video about zone focusing as those who learned photography with AF have no idea of how it works. It used to be the way to go for landscape photographers before AF.

Nice images Dave I wonder why I prefer the monochromes.....
Nikon lenses usually pick out nice colour renditions.......

Hi . Thank you . Monochrome removes the distraction of color so we all see the intended compositions and the story of each photo the photographer is displaying . It lets us take time to explore through composition rather than being pulled all over with colors . We see the shadows shade and textures as well as the mood of the lighting much more clearly . Monochrome will always be a special art form in digital and analog film . But I can tell you film is growing so fast I'm finding hard to keep vintage film gear on my ebay cart . Yes Nikon glass has very good color rendering. This is true .

Dave, I'm glad you have your dream gear. However, now that you have established your fine gear, let's talk about photography, composition, lighting, editing, etc.

I'm not the big tutorials type. But I'll give it a go . Thanks for the suggestion.

I have that lens, stripped, cleaned and put back together, but it must have had a tough life before I owned it, reasonable images taken on my D750, but not the sharpest

This one seems to be very good . Maybe it wasn't put together, right ? Shine a torch through to see if there is haze or fungus .
