    Kings have had 10 powerplays in this series. And they have not scored on any of them. Conversely, Edmonton has had 14 and has scored on 7 of them.

      I was checking NHL and Sportsnet apps after the scrap to see the penalty summary, and it kept changing. Wrong penalties kept getting entered for the wrong players. Every stoppage, you saw the timekeeper talking to the ref. Finally after 15 minutes, it got sorted out.

Also I heavily dislike the way some Oilers defensemen push the play on O-zone creating a 50-50 play where if they lose it's an automatic 2on1 attack for the Kings. Created a lot of problems for them in game 2. Didn't watch this game so I don't know if they learned from it.

      ​@seabass7788 the biggest difference is the oilers played with purpose and energy early in the first. Game 2 they made lazy plays and coughed up the puck in the d zone, putting skinner on edge right from the start. This game he was able to settle in and play confidently.

      I really do think he'll go down as the best to ever lace 'em up when his career is over. He may not catch Gretzky on points, but he's the most insane player I've ever seen in my 40 years of watching hockey.

      @@kylenewcomer9697 Was watching some old Oilers games... mid 80s Stanley Cup year. On the one hand, Gretzky was making opponents look ridiculous, but in relation to McDavid, Gretz was SO slow. It's insane how much faster players are now than they were 35-40 years ago.

    What an amazing game by Draisaitl 73% in the faceoff circle 3 points all those steals that lead to scoring chances the other way. Playoff Draisaitl is a site to behold. Yet another Playoff where he's rolling at over 2pts per game.

    I know the offense was godly tonight, but one player is quietly having his own awesoke playoff so far is Desharnais. Dude has been an absolute wall on the defense and is not afraid of anyone. Gave Kopitar a couple good punches in that 3rd period scrum

      You cheat and cover draisatl, it leaves Hyman open (like his second goal), you cheat and cover Hyman, it leaves Draisatl open for the one timer (like his second goal). Oh and dont even think about covering both of these guys and leaving Mcdavid closing in the box, he will snipe it. Your only option is to never get a penalty 😅

      Kings haven't even been winning at even strength, Oilers have a higher the 5v5 xgf% each game lol. It's been thorough dominance. Only reason it was close game 2 was skinner let in soft goals

      Kudos to Hyman no doubt about, he's been great, but gotta mention that McDavid plays huge role in his success. Chance he creates for Hyman are literally golden.

    McDavid plays even better come playoffs, 1.52 ppg in regular season 1.61 points per game in playoffs. Just have to get over that hump of not winning a cup yet. He NEEDS one and deserves one for carrying the team for so long.

      3 points per game thus far in these playoffs. If my memory serves he had 33 points in 16 games back in the 2022 playoffs where Smith caused a sweep in the conference finals. If the Oilers make it to the finals one year McDavid probably breaks the playoff scoring record for a single year.

      I felt bad for Talbot, too.. constant pressure, and the Kings couldn't hold the puck in the offensive zone to give him a breather. They need to slow it down and lock them up on the boards.

    Why can't they show any of the penalties, particularly if they lead to a powerplay goal. If it becomes a turning point, that should be in the package.

    The LA Kings are the same as the last 2 years while the Oilers have improved 10 folds. Penalty Kill and Defense has improved so much since the 2022 Playoffs for this team and somehow we made the WCF that year. We keep playing like this and we can get to SCF at the minimum.

    As usual the Kings went chippy, interesting to see Doubty get a goal but even a blind squirrel finds a nut once in a while. Best game in a while for Deharnais, just strong and focused, tough and protective. Sundays game should be a blowout with chippy, hacky play, probably a 5 goal margin, then back home to eliminate the Kings in front of a loud and appreciative crowd

    Dr.Jekyl and Mr.Hyde series....and THAT pretty much sums up the Oilers....Unstoppable juggernaut one game. Defensive disaster the next.....As long as they get 14 more wins this spring, we won't mind. They are never predictable, thats for sure.

    The Kane to Drai goal was a perfect execution for exploiting the weak winger in the 1-3-1. Send them up the boards with speed, get them the puck, past that outside winger and they all have to scramble getting back. Chaos.

    That place was deader than the Saddledome on a weeknight if the shames were losing to a bottom 5 team.
    Imagine losing to the same team in sequential fashion: 7, then 6, and now it looks like it's gonna be 5. And the soilers have done everything possible to at least _try_ and give you an advantage by burying 5million in the AHL.

    Now that's the way to bounce back and retake home ice advantage! I was hard on Stu after last game, but he really stepped up to the plate tonight with a fantastic performance! Loved Kaner's Gordie Howe hatty performance, he was living rent free in the Kings' heads all night! Fantastic team play in both ends and converting on our PP's while successfully killing theirs is also incredibly important, and I hope the boys keep it up. Dominated them tonight!! Suck on that, Loss Angeles🤣 Go Oilers!!!

    The Oiler players talk about "resetting"...I dont really know what that means...Anyway..I dont want them resetting...i want them to continue playing solid defense like i know they can... When the defense gambles , pinch in at the wrong times, not picking up guys we get into trouble....This game the defense stayed back and did their jobs first and foremost...especially Nurse and Cece....We keep doing that? we will be tough to beat. Good job boys! Keep it up! Imo dont reset, keep doing what you're doing!

    Hockey can sometimes feel like one chaotic pinball machine to those who don’t appreciate all the skill involved, but it’s really also a thinking man’s sport and I love how powerplays highlight this aspect of it. You won’t find much success just wildly shooting the puck unless you get a rare deflection. But you can strategize a deceptive play to intentionally throw the goalie and his players off for a brief moment of opportunity to capitalize on with precision... as demonstrated beautifully here at 9:24

    One of the better hockey games I have seen all season long. We were dominant all game, didn't get complacent at the end letting in stupid goals, and 92 penalty minutes! If we keep this up we will win for sure.
    Next game is pivotal. If we win it I would love us to end the series at home.

    Edmonton's defense played a helluva game steady, physical and smart. Boucher responded well even knocking Dubois on his butt 😂. Kane played in beast mode. Drai absolutely OWNED the faceoff dots in LA probly took them home for a night lol. LA came out swinging and ramped up the physical play but our boys responded well. 😊 Great game but LA still has some gas left in the tank be ready for game 4.
