Getting outside is the best thing you can do after having a baby. It was the dead of winter when I had her so it was a bit of a challenge. But fresh air does a world of wonders.

I’m 13 weeks with my first baby! I needed this podcast. I’ve been having a hard time just being sick all the time. I’m also having a hard time bonding or being excited for this pregnancy. So please send advice and prayers. I’m having a hard time because the people around me didn’t get this sick or have any symptoms and they loved it and I’m over here saying why me god? Why me to make me sick all the time?

I will say for me the bonding came later! I’m almost 20 weeks and now I’m feeling like it’s more “real”. I know we’re having a boy, I feel him move, I talk to him. I’m picturing life with him. It will come! And I pray you start feeling better soon. First trimester was rough but I feel great most of the time now.

I was right where you were girl!! I was SOOO sick weeks 8-15. I am now at 18 weeks and starting to feel better and more like myself. I know the Lord used that time to prepare me and challenge me to press into him. I definitely didn’t do that as much as I wish I would have. Be gentle with yourself, pray and be in the word. He is right here with us!! As for the bonding/excitement I would advise to not compare your feelings/experience with everyone else. I wasn’t excited the way I wanted to be either… but the Lord has made us these babies Mama’s and he does not make mistakes!! The ‘feelings’ we want will come. He has great things ahead for us even in the midst of the trials and hardships. ❤❤

I threw up every day for the first 3 months! Everyone's body is different! Speak to a good doctor and/or midwife and trust their opinions. Don't google everything it'll only make the worrying worse.
As for the bonding - it's totally normal to feel that way! I only felt the bonding feeling like once during pregnancy but it flooded me once i held him for the first time.
God has a plan for this pregnancy and for you.
Speak to him about it ALL and be kind to yourself too🤍

It's understandable to feel afraid and struggle to bond, esp this early on. I'll pray to come to a place of peace about it

I only gained 30 pounds with my pregnancy. I lost 60 pounds. I am the fittest I have ever been in my life. I look and feel amazing. And I STILL cannot fit in my pre-pregnancy jeans our bodies change so much in so many ways. Everyone says that, but when you actually see it, and even when you look the best you have ever looked in your life and still can’t fit into the jeans you wore before you had pregnancy is so wild! Our bodies are incredible things!!!

I loved this! My husband and I are starting to think about kids. Something I'm struggling with right now is the reaction of others. I'll be 23 soon and he will be 24, but many of our family members believe we are too young to have kids. In fact, I even had a cousin tell me she would be disappointed in me if I had a kid before 25. I'm struggling with not taking others judgements to heart. We are financially stable and have space for a baby and a desire for one, but I am such a people pleaser it is hard for me.

Motherhood is a gift from the Lord and a desire to be a mom is such a blessing. The Lord has a plan and timeline for your life and family! Lean into the spirit and ask for reassurance from him, his timing is perfect and if other people don’t understand that it’s hard but it’s not up to them it’s up to God and his direction for your life!
I think being a young mom is so beautiful! Find community and support whatever you decide 🤍

it truly does not matter what you do in life, others will have opinions on it. some will be positive and some will be negative. talk with God and remind yourself that people are allowed to have their opinions, but others opinions should not dictate what you do in your life. i got married at 20, and at 21 i am pregnant with my first. my family may not have the happiest opinions on it which is fine, but that doesnt change how wonderful marriage has been and how happy i am to be pregnant right now. its hard to break away from the people pleasing, but everyone else is not living your life, so they shouldnt get to make decisions for you. take your life back girl ! it will be okay ❤

    • @shaylaloe8722
      @shaylaloe8722 3 месяца назад

You can’t live for others approval. You will get so burned out in pregnancy and motherhood with this mindset. If you struggle with people pleasing motherhood will teach you to not! Being a mama is all about trusting your intuition and establishing a family with your husband! You will do things differently most likely than what your other family members have done and that is okay! If you guys feel called go for it! But be prepared that you will be challenged to listen to those around you and do what they say with the advice they give you but I challenge you to listen to your intuition and do what you know God is calling you too.

I’ve been a big fan of this podcast for quite some time now, but haven’t commented before. However, this podcast was exactly what I needed! I’m about 12 weeks pregnant with my first baby, and just finished competing at a high level in women’s wrestling (I also coach a girls high school wrestling team now, and we listen to your podcast whenever we take road trips to national tournaments-the girls and I love it!). With it being a weight class sport, I’ve always had a difficult time with body image and weight management. Being pregnant, I’ve had a hard time with being okay with the changes and weight gain I’m experiencing. This podcast was exactly what I needed to hear and I’m so grateful for the love and encouragement you always share! You’ve added so much positivity to my life. Thank you💗

Gah! I am going through my second pregnancy and my first is almost 2 (in Oct). It’s crazy how much you remember yet also forget. I gained about 50lbs with my first and am working very hard to watch my weight this second time around (for health reasons). Thank you for this podcast because despite the struggles-pregnancy is such a great reminder of God’s many gifts and blessings. ❤
Please do more mom content if you can! 😊

Thank you guys for this episode ❤ I'm currently 18 weeks pregnant with my second child. A baby girl named Hosanna Grace. 😊 I have always been overweight and struggled with body image and eating disorders. I lost almost 70 pounds after having my first child and became extremely active in the gym and was finally starting to love my body, but my husband and I wanted another child so now that I'm pregnant I've already gained almost 20 lbs and I am starting to see my body the way I used to in a negative way which breaks my heart. This is such a hard mental battle but I appreciate all you ladies speaking into this and sharing personal experiences. ❤️
