      ▶▶They never looked *down* on women. Like in "War Of Hormones", they had teen boys' "suggestive" thoughts, but NOTHING compared to Western "hoes" & "b---hes" type lyrics. I's just S.Korea's still a conservative country, so they apologized +said they'd be more careful. This would not have been an issue in the West.
      ▶The toxic Anti-fans of *then* top group felt threatened!? + cyber-bullied BTS badly. Each time BTS succeeded at something, they felt THEIR group deserved it, not BTS. Even all these death threaths!! About *music* !?!?! BTS was hurt, but kept grinding, w/growing global fan support, it's why some young Armys are often a little over-protective.

    I really like that you said you understand why ARMYs are so protective of them after watching this. Some fans take things too far, and I'm so sorry if you've experienced that in your comment sections, but BTS and ARMY have been through soooo much. I've been a part of many fandoms over the years, but the disrespect and hate towards BTS and ARMY is unlike anything I've ever seen.

    to other people we can pass on an image of people obsessed with bts, who do and say things that in their perception is something exaggerated, but the point is that we know the story of BTS, we know everything they went through and all their effort, and it’s for these reasons that we’re so protective of them

  • @miniearmie339

    You have to remember they were just teenagers then. The industry was downright cruel to them. Nowadays, I just love how BTS and BH can be as petty as they want and there's nothing the industry including the kmedia can do about it because they don't owe their success to them.

    Haters are always going to hate !People can be so evil and cruel.They’re just jealous.I’m proud of the guys for sticking it out and rising above it all while still remaining so humble and never forgetting where they came from!!!💜💜💜💜💜

    The MBC issued is just sooo petty, the fact that they basically blackball BTS, TXT and other groups under Bighit label just cuz BTS and Bighit decides to perform at NYC years eve concert. But last year Bighit got them back tho by hosting their own years eve concert 🤣 same time as MBC.

      Thats Why I can't respect these companies that are selfish with these kind of practices. It's almost like they want them to go through them only and BTS is breaking through making a way for artists to control their own future.

  • @dorkshoujo
    @dorkshoujo 3 года назад +22

    It starts casually honestly then you're in the rabbithole BUT then you encounter these haters and it frustrates you because it doesn't add up. You realise a lot of these bullies simply hates the fact that BTS is succeeding. And that they're still humble and good despite all that. It's as if they want bullies to win 🤦‍♀️🤷‍♀️ that's why every army's maternal or paternal instincts just come out because the amount of hate these boys receive is just ridiculous. And yet you can see these boys never getting egotistical about their success because they know that winning and losing are just results. Theyve been attacked when they were from a small agency as well as when they were growing and now at the top. It's crazy. Just because they don't fit the norm.
    What they don't get is that. The more you hate or bully BTS, the more the Army will back up their success. So if they want the Army to chill on their competitive side, then maybe they should start treating them like actual human beings.

    BTS went through it with the Korean music industry and now they are going through it with the U. S. Industry. There are a lot more "gatekeepers" here in the U.S.
    BTS are circumventing the "normal channels" here as well. The way I see it is the U.S. music industry has always kept international non-English artists within the Billboard Music Charts of "World Music". Now that BTS has landed their music big here & on the actual U.S. charts, if the industry recognized them on the same level as U.S./U.K./Australian artists it would open a door for artists all over the world for them to have to "share" the U.S. Charts & the number 1 music industry in the world. I hope I am making sense. When BTS 1st became noticed in English speaking countries, the media was all over them but from the perspective of them being a "one off" or "novelty". Now that they have proven they have "staying power", the U.S. Industry is doing everything they can to hold them back. Love you guys! Have a great day!

    • @CurtisandElena
      @CurtisandElena  3 года назад +3

      Yep and with our help as #army we should make sure those "Gatekeepers" are put on notice that great music and Talent will not be disregarded no matter where its from.

    A lot of newer ARMY might still be on the surface of getting to know BTS so they're only going to be seeing them on the top. It's easy for people to think that we're just sensitive or trying to make their hardships worse than they actually were without knowing their history as a group. To me it's a huge eye opening AH HA moment when you can clearly see the proof through the tweets, interviews, etc. that makes it impossible to see that all of the stuff we've said they went through wasn't real. It leave me in awe a bit to be completely honest because the boys were for the most part still teenagers but they didn't let that uncalled for hate pull them down. I can see how a person could easily become angry, bitter and jaded toward the world but instead took that energy to turn it into something good. These young men want nothing more than to share their music with the world all the while giving their love, comfort and support through their art.

    No one was cutting Onion's but demn my eyes are watery again as an African and black in generally, its too much and what shocked me is that now the k-armies & antis are debating about the second English song BTS is about to release .They're saying that BTS should release only Korean song that's what Korean armies are saying. Any ways we love our boys we will always support them .luv you guys from Africa country Uganda.

    it may be because of cultural differences but some songs that they talked about being misogynistic didn't really have anything that showed they looked down upon women..i still love listening to war of hormone but the fact that they took it seriously to the point where RM consulted experts of women studies is more than appreciative

    • @tigerlillymoon9310

      I honestly feel like War of Hormone is sort of the exaggerated story of boys that pick on girls they like..I know things are different now but when I was young and in school the boy that constantly pulled your hair or just annoyed you in general usually had the biggest crush on you..

    Can you react to “BTS vs Kpop” by bby gang as well as his three part series titled You’re Wrong About Kpop/The Media Is Wrong About Kpop/Kpop vs Orientalism? His videos are utterly phenomenal, and I’d love it if you could check out his other videos out as well about Kpop & BTS. They are so well-researched and non biased. He does the work that so many western reporters don’t when researching and explaining BTS and Kpop. He encapsulates so well how truly phenomenal BTS is in the Kpop industry, the pop industry, and the music industry as a whole. It helps that with how well he does his research, he shows so much respect for eastern concepts and their impact on the western world. It’s beautiful. One of the best Kpop/BTS videos I have ever seen.

    This is why BTS success is very important aside from the great music and artistry there are real institutions/people out there that band together to put people down in order to keep themselves where they are using all sort of malicious tactics. Can you imagine the number of other artists that have fallen victims to this? Gone into obscurity only because you had a dream to try. Its hard enough to be and compete in the industry but to have them band together to push you down is evil. Instead of calling to support your artist, you call to break the project of another??? I mean its not like they are killing anyone. That's why when you see a company like BigHit (hybe) and Artists like BTS that promote good values and music its a no brainer for me. I support it. Already there is so much unchecked evil tactics in the industry...like in the West they use sexuality , racial stereotypes to brainwash people and promote artists. Keeping them in a dysfunctional mode to keep selling. If anything BTS success in the West has proved that the audience want a bit more substance than that and that it sells! As long as it is sincere. I hope the Hybe family continue to keep their values and grow. And ARMY will continue to stan and voice.

    I have been with these amazing guys since before they debuted. I was beside them as they received so much hate and it broke my heart. Seeing them now, so popular, yet still receiving hate, now makes me angry. You are right when you said that ARMY is protective of these boys - they have given us so much, it is the least we can do. Don’t ever take it too much to heart when ARMY get protective and make comments that may seem “angry” towards you. Most true ARMY will not be so critical - we are thankful that you have taken the time to learn about these talented young men. We understand that it is a learning journey and we will try to give you as much information as we can to help you. The cultural differences take some time to learn, but the mere fact that you are willing to learn, wiling too be open is enough for this old ARMY. I really enjoyed you reaction and I hope you continue to enjoy their music. Borahae. 💜💜🇦🇺

    They had haters from the beginning. I think their hardships made them very strong and caring guys. They know how it fells to be looked down upon. That's one reason they're such kind and understanding people. That's one reason they are able to be relatable. It's just make up. It's nothing like being a girl. There are a lot of girls that don't even wear makeup. Makeup enhances beauty. All entertainers wear makeup. What's the big deal? They're pretty without makeup. They entered their careers with a strong desire to become idols and that they have done. Those guys that were asking questions about them looking like girls were out of line, jealous, haters! They could have used a bit of makeup themselves! How dare they!! I wonder where are those interviewers now? What records have they made and where is their army? Suga is so humble. People (Interviewers) with TV stations, seem as though they loved embarrassing BTS with questions that they should have been asking their attorney. What plagiarism? My goodness! Can't more than one boy fall in love? Look at all the singers and entertainers who dye their hair to perform. I'm thinking of "Little Richard, Elton John, Rick James, not to mention PRINCE!! It's part of the entertaining industry! Misogynistic towards women? What kind of mess is that? They respect women! I wonder if some of the Interviewers from the past feel really stupid and sorry that they treated them that way. They probably do because they need big ratings for their variety shows now. And, BTS will forgive, because they are bred that way from loving parents that taught them to be forgiving. Those guys were RICH from the beginning, but didn't realize it. Their characters and their heart conditions are priceless! This is a most interesting and informative video. My heart is practically broken from watching their hardships, but I'm glad I did. It only strengthens my RESPECT and ADMIRATION for BTS members and ARMY. I'm just saying.

    A lot of these things are in their past....yes. But don't get it wrong, the guys do reply to a lot that has been said about them and to them. For example, near the beginning of the video there was one instience where several rappers were going after RM and Suga. You even commented
    about how they said to their faces. Well you see one of the rappers, the one that said getting make up done was being a girl, that would be a rapper called B Free. Now since he made that statement, he really hasn't done much. But the most interesting part about BFree....he is American! Born and raised in America. So he is very aware of what they do for TV programs. He said it to make it look like he knew more about hip hop than those who weren't born in America. What he didn't understand then and still doesn't is that RM and and Suga, not to mention. Hobi and the vocal line know more about hip hop in their little finger than he knows in his entire body. Not to mention, they have more respect for the music and culture.
    Not to mention, the rap line did respond to B Free as well as the mean tweets that RM had read aloud. Their response are their cyphers!!! Now I don't know if u have heard their cyphers, but if u have now you know who they were talking to. If not, please do ursekf a favor and take a listen. You won't regret it.

    Love BTS but the military exemption is just about impossible for any other group to get' They would either have to get the cultural merit or have to be active after debut for 15 yrs so that means you have to debut at 13 years old.
