I think that intro was the single most juxtaposed use of "Snowdin Town" I've ever seen. Star is just "Let me tell you how everything went to crap", while the music is all cheery and stuff.
The thing the husky did, being completely chill but freaking out at sudden specific things around them (in this case other dogs) has a name! It's called being "reactive." One of my parents dogs was super reactive, he'd be chill as hell and all happy following you around but the moment he saw another dog he would do everything in his power to attack it. It took a long time and a lot of training, and they still can't take him anywhere where he might be in close proximity to lots of other dogs at the same time, but he can at least pass other dogs on walks without going completely loony now, and vaguely tolerates the new puppy they recently got.
Oh this SUCKS 😭😭😭 that is a crazy day! As someone with a Shiba Inu who is reactive this is my worst fear! BUT our sucker is microchipped and in a harness with tags so he can't weasle his way out.
I definitely love the types of videos that act as emotional rollercoasters. I love it when you turn something distressing in the moment to something very amusing. It helps keep people like me engaged with the story. For some reason, this reminded me of the time I accidentally pulled the fire alarm at Joe's Crab Shack and I don't even know why.
Not to "um, actually", but unfortunately dog tags aren't $5 and are at cheapest $20. But there is also a common trend in husky owners taking their collars off completely while at home because huskies are fucking crazy and will get them caught however they can and choke themselves so the fact that it even had a collar on at all is a stroke of luck
What star did for the dog was really admirable! It can be very dangerous to deal with strays if you don’t have the proper training and tools (Citronella spray is a good thing to have in case of dog fights, it’s shown to be as affective as pepper spray but doesn’t hurt the dogs) honestly turning a stray over to a shelter (perforable a non-kill, kill shelters are over run as is) or animal control is one of the best things you can do! in most states there is a minimum stray hold (minimum of three days in Texas) in which the shelter holds a stray pet for the owner(s) after that the pet is turned over to the shelter. And shelters is typically the first place people look for lost animals, they a lot more reach, are equipped to care for the animal, can check microchips and have more ways to contact the pets owner!
What in the world!!! I screamed at the beginning of the story bc I also had a huge headache of a day when I caught a husky that was loose after work!!! You’re stronger than I. It was an abuse situation, and ohhh the soap opera that came from me helping this dog. Anyway, talked with the owners and I guess I have a husky now.
omg wait same about crying when stressed sometimes. I especially hate when I know how to handle the situation calmly, but my brain still decides to go panic mode and I either start crying, or nervously laughing trying to not cry.
My worst day in 2023 was one of my ER trips, I'd just gotten a CT scan and had gone back home and taken a nap when the doctors called my mom and said that I had appendicitis. My mom dragged me out of bed and they wouldn't let us go to the nearby hospital so that was fun. It was night and it was raining and I had really bad nausea. When we got to the ER we ended up in the waiting room for 4 hours and my mom was reading Lord of the Rings and Persuasion to try and take my mind off it. when we finally got in to see the doctor, she said," Oh hey, it doesn't sound like you have appendicitis so go get an ultrasound that's down that very creepy completely empty maze of hallways." I'd already had an ultrasound earlier that month and it was nightmarishly painful(I was the kid that didn't have any problems pulling out my baby teeth on my own) So I went down the hallways knowing what awaited me and it was the most painful experience of my entire life. After all that my nausea and the residual pain from the ultrasound had me in tears but the doctor said I was fine and sent me home. I still have constant nausea that keeps me bedridden and I had another ER trip too but the doctors are dumbfounded and... Ye
I dunno about other peoples dogs, but my dogs are REALLY fucking good at getting their tags off. How? I have no idea, no matter how tight or how many loops we put they get it off without even talking off their collars. We do have them all chipped though, they cant take those out easily.
Been going through an absolute shitstorm, 2023 has kicked me in the ass with some of the worst bits of my anxiety and depression I have experienced since the pandemic, and even when comparing this feeling to how I felt during the pandemic this could be considered slightly worse or worse in general. Of course the depressive and anxious feelings change in severity and as I get this notification I feel as if I’m going to pass out of tiredness and headache. And now I’m here, writing this comment, listening to Star talk about dealing with a dog and getting into a dog fight, and now I’m still feeling slightly lightheaded but the lightheadedness is more tolerable with this for some reason. Edit: what the fuck is this husky doing? Edit 2: oh this husky is gonna kill something Edit 3: … WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS HUSKY?????? Edit 4: POLICE??? This reminds me of a similar story from my childhood (luckily not as hectic and bloody). I think I was in 3rd or 4th grade when my older brother was picking me up from the bus stop, we were walking home when suddenly a random dog just walked up, I don't remember exactly what kind of dog it was I think it might have been a golden retriever? One of those big friendly dogs, I had seen this dog before since the other kids who would wait with me at the bus stop with sometimes bring this dog along with them but I didn't know whose dog it was because they were all much younger than me and weren't the greatest at explaining things (like 1st graders). We didn't want to let it go since it was on a really busy road but it didn't have a leash so my brother sent me home to see if I could find the leash of our old dog, I ended up not being able to find it so I just took the strap off of my lunch box and used it as a makeshift leash. We ended up wandering around the neighborhood looking for the owner until we found their neighbor who said that apparently the owner of the dog just lets their dogs out on the town while they're at work. We just waited for them to come back and hand it over the dog. Luckily it wasn't aggressive but like dude, who lets their dogs run around on a busy road?
Bruh, I had my dogs get into fights over food so i can feel the anxiety of it happening in ur case. Happy that the story had a much more happish ending, besides the dog bite.
the worst day of 2023 was end of September. I had a major breakdown resulted in me being hospitalized, caught covid, got broken up with and got kicked out all within 2-3 days of each other.
That’s definitely one hell of a story! Glad that no one got any major injuries and that everything ended up being okay. That’s also a really nutty way to start 2023! Hopefully the start of 2024 will be a bit more chill for you 😅 Happy holidays everyone!! 🥳🥳
This does scare me a little bit - I have a German Shepard mix, and she loves people, but can dislike little dogs a lot, so this doesn't sound outside the realm of possibility if she got loose. Thank you for helping the husky - my doggo does what she does because of a bad past with other dogs, so it may have just been a dog with a bad puppyhood and not actually a bad dog.
One day when I was younger, my family got way too busy and our dogs took themselves for a walk while we were out Thankfully some neighbors called us while we were on the way home and we were able to pick them up before anything happened. Our bigger dog just hopped in our trunk when we called them and our smaller dog ran home😭
My worst day of 2023, was more like multiple weeks. Dealing with my dad who suffered a brain bleed and a stroke. We feared that he would not be able to walk again and we can't live with a cripple in our house, it's a recipie for disaster. Thankfully he got better along with physical therapy and made a full recovery. But it was extremely scary.
I once had to spend a few days with my godmothers sister, who had a son and a dog. Let me tell you that dog was a nightmare. The night that me and my friend stayed with my godmother's sister, the dog got of her leash and just bolted down the street. Her son was chasing her down even though we kept telling him not to become we wouldn't be able to keep up. So then my friend chased after him and I followed. I got separated from them and then my godmother's sister found me a drove me back to the house. When we arrived, her son and my friend were there and at some point the dog came back. And guess what happened the next day.... the dog ran off again.
To play devils advocate our cat doesn’t have any collars on him because he hates having collars on him and it looks like he’s trying to get his head out of something which is really sad so that might be the reason. I don’t know if dogs have that problem too, but they might
SNOWDIN TOWN UNDERTALE OST?!? I thought that music sounded familiar! I just started watching a playthough of the game last week, since my cheap laptop can't handle running the game itself.
you should watch a playthrough of deltarune when you’re done!!! it’s by the same developer and kind of like an alternate universe!! it also has a lot of undertale references which are fun if you’ve played/watched the game before :)
@@childeofepickness I'm a little scared of getting interested in Deltarune because it's not finished yet. I want to wait until it's complete to dive in.
I know the owner of husky isn't obliged to anything, but I think he could at least buy you some chocolates after everything you went through that would be the least he could do.
When I was trying watch boxtrolls I heard screaming outside i checked what it was and it was my brother and dog getting attacked by a big dog I told someone to call the police and then I called cody (my dog) to get inside and shut my bedroom door then the dog came to the house and attacked me it scratched me and torn a little bit of my shirt the dog owner came in and helped me to get the dog away then the police came I told them what happened and they left when I think about that moment I thought what if I killed that dog like if I killed the dog there would've been blood and a dog corpse on the floor my parents would probably say what did you do zachery we definitely wouldn't put the corpse in the garbage
The moral of the story is: TAG YER DOGS.
how is it made 5 months ago if the video was made 4 months ago???
But the stories lost, is it worth it?
I think that intro was the single most juxtaposed use of "Snowdin Town" I've ever seen.
