They just don't make'em like your generation of musicians and singers anymore. This video showcases genuine unmasked talent (pun intended). No digital enhancements to make it sound this good.
Thanks Carol, they really were the days for sure , your voice is perfect for this song no one else could match it . Stay safe and well Carol and the rest of T'Pau
Jeez it's August 2024 and this song means more every year that passes, just wish those days were here again, there was so much music out there that would get to you one way or another. Who's agrees we need more music like this and the 80s sound. Who ever reads this stay safe and all the Very Best with what's happening in the world now from the 🇬🇧
I was in the Army in ‘87 when this album dropped. One of the guys let me borrow his cassette. Next payday, I went and bought my own copy. Listening now brings back many memories.
Carol, Vix (Fuzzbox), Wendy (Transvision Vamp), it goes on and on - women don't even look like this anymore. They were all born perfect, like Goddesses, with the voices to match.
T'Pau's songs always sounded dramatic, great production, and Carol used all of her talents so well, both physical and sonic. What an awesome human being!
Carol. let me start off, I am a through and through metalhead, from the 80's of course and musician to boot. I've never really cared for female vocalist. When I heard your voice back when Heart n Soul came out i was floored, Ur voice is just so powerful, superbe range. superbe arrangements. I regularly listen to your songs. They not only only give me goosebumps EVERYTIME but my skin want to leave my body, then the tears come, not of sadness, just complete joy of hearing your voice and the thing is, yes the music is 80'sish but when you sing, i dont even hear the music, all the focus is on your voice, which makes it timeless. The only thing that is sad, you dont have dozens more albums. thank you very much for what you have given the music community with your talents
I loved T'pau, I will be with you is one of my favourites by them. It brings back memories of a time when the music was good and it was a better more easier kinder world. I seen T'pau years ago in my hometown - Falmouth and met Carol. A nice memory.
When I was 11, my best friend was hit by by a car and died. I don't know why but this song and that moment were forever cemented together in my mind. It's not a song about friends, or mourning, or really anything I went through at the time but it doesn't seem to matter. Nor does it seem to matter that it happened nearly 19 years ago because I still choke every time she sings lines like ''I never thought I'd see the day when you and me, we'd be so far apart' and it all comes flooding back. Funny, how the human mind works. So, T'Pau, thanks for this song, it helped me in a way I suppose you never imagined when you wrote it and it still brings back memories all these years later.
Carol Decker is beautiful, sings beautifully and writes amazing songs. My favourite band of the 80's by far. These songs mean so much being the soundtrack to my 20's. Those of us that were here then were so lucky to experience THE BEST ERA OF MUSIC EVER in our best years. Bless you Carol, a true Diamond.
For some reason when I was in college (graduated in 2012, not in the 80s) I'd come back to the same songs over and over again when studying late at night. This was one of the main ones!
There is a movement in country music called "torch country"....this is a perfect example of a pop artist pulling off a "I will always love you" type off song.....great job Carol!
Wow! T'Pau's music played a big part of the soundtrack of my teenage years, and even playing them today brings back amazing memories of better times and better music, Carol Decker was and still is an amazing vocalist and absolutely stunning 🥰❤
A great 80s ballad from a superb album. I remember listening 30 years ago on my Walkman travelling on the West Highland railway line from Fort William to Glasgow on a sunny cold afternoon with snow on the mountains. Takes me back to that moment.
Carol decker is beautiful gorgeous and loved T'PAU since I heard China in your hand ill be with you is just one of the best songs ever and lately just brought the essential T'PAU 3 cd set with remixes and new songs like the great run song thank you for the music Carol still sounding great ❤️
honestly darling u are an amazing singer, love your songs..im 50 and a male...i always get a wee slagging for listening to you but means nothing to me...amazing and it does put me in good moods..tc x
I met Carol and had a photo with her (the wife hates it lol), it was a dream come true and will always treasure the moment I met my 2nd schoolboy crush (sorry but Olivia Newton john was my first).
It's a beautiful bittersweet song. Perhaps doesn't have quite such a strong chorus or structure as "Heart and Soul", "China In Your Hand" and "Valentine", but it's still appealingly wistful. Was T'Pau's fourth biggest UK hit by peak chart position (No. 14).
Where ever you are Carol and all you guys in the band I just wish you all nothing but the best of things. We all have dreams of greatness….true greatness only comes when your grandchildren, as young teens are playing the same tracks that I’ve loved for so long for so many decades and telling me that T’Pau are an awesome band 😎
Hello Carol Decker . You have a lovely singing voice. Strong as steel. Beautiful. You are still my favourite pretty pop music princess as you were in the 1980s. You are still pretty..love you lots ❤️..xxx
I remember as a teenager, reading that Carol had been a prison officer before Tpau. I was in the pub with my dad and we were talking about Tpau and Carol and we were both big fans of their music and especially both of us fancied Carol. I said to dad that she had been a prison officer. Dad's reply made me laugh. He said "yeah, I'd heard she was a good screw". I've no doubt that she was!
Awesome Possum!!!! This is one of the greatest 80's ballads by one of the 80's greatest bands. And as for Carol Decker...Yummmm - we like her.. ;-) "Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it...."
One of my favourite bands and singers, I saw them for the first time in December 1988 at Wembley and still a fan to this day, I'll be seeing them this December and love them just as much as I did 36 years ago.
I have just broke up with someone ive known for 30 plus years and this was our song and it heals and hurts at the same time but fantastic singer lovely song thank you x

Andy Robertson that would be great and think we could do a B2TF 2 and bet on winning sports events. Lol. I remember nightclubs with sticky carpets Steve Wright on Radio 1 big Sony Stereos down the beach and being paid £35 pw and being able to afford a pub or club every day. Crept Sunday coz opening hours were crap.
Great group, great tunes and the amazing voice of Carol, I have just got back into playing my vinyl and it is really helping during these difficult times, thankyou Tpau.
Oh wow I never heard of this song but it is really good. I remember first hearing your music back in 1987. I was in junior high at the time and was 14 at the time.

Thanks for the great music Carol.
Wow, thanks for saying that. It's so good to hear from artists when we can't see them in person during these times. Much love and respect to you x

This woman should really be up there with the likes of Madonna..very underrated.
Thank the lord for You Tube that I can go back in time and escape the rubbish produced today and view classic songs like this
you bet chiefy,u tube and set of head phones is all you need!!
Rubbish = just an opinion . I think they need to start using real instruments again and collaborate instead of working by themselves with autotune.
@@smartypants4571 I agree!👍
To bloody right.
You couldn't be anymore right 😎🍹🍒🍹 cheers mate @Smithy2882 this is music
Easily the best song that T'Pau ever did.

I was in the Army in ‘87 when this album dropped. One of the guys let me borrow his cassette. Next payday, I went and bought my own copy. Listening now brings back many memories.
Carol is 12 years older than me but back in 1987 I was so in love with her. Stunning.
She still gets me day dreaming about, being with her on a first date…because damn!!!
I guess it’s like a nostalgia boner
Get in the queue mate. 😂
I was there first!
Age is just a number baby
Carol, Vix (Fuzzbox), Wendy (Transvision Vamp), it goes on and on - women don't even look like this anymore. They were all born perfect, like Goddesses, with the voices to match.
This song is for all of us who have been heartbroken, disillusioned and dumped but with Carol's amazing vocal performance she gives it some hope

Thank you Carol for your beautiful voice. The 80's bring back so much good memories God bless 🙏
And I don't need to comment how Carol totally rocks the blue dress.......

She would look stunning dressed in a bin liner 😂
Doesn't she just... wouldn't mind seeing her without the dress.
