It's soooo cheap too! I was looking at small cameras for edc and I had completely forgotten this one existed. Bought mine on an eBay auction a month ago with the 12-32 (thought I'd sell that, but turns out I LOVE it) for $315. That's an insane deal for this camera. It goes everywhere I go now.
Just after MarkusPix did another Video on the G100. Funny how that worked out. But yeah its a cool camera but there are lots of great alternatives at its price
one of the features of the g100 that doesn’t get mentioned enough is the selfie mode. i believe there are only a handful of lumix cameras that have this feature but basically, if you flip out the screen to take a selfie, you can cover your face with your hand and it’ll take a photo. it also focuses AFTER the countdown is done (whereas the self timer locks focus when you press the shutter button). such an underrated feature for travelers who want a better selfie than what their phone’s selfie camera can produce.
Your timing is magical, I was legit just unboxing my new G100D. First impression: it’s adorable. I know that’s a silly thing to be enamored with, but it’s a sweet little thing to handle.
the thing is, the G100 mark 2 you describe as a wish is actually an olympus em5 mk iii. that's why it's twice the price of the G100 on the secondhand market
I remember when it came out with all the hate that it came with but still I chose it as a gift to give my wife on our wedding day. We ended up putting a lot of memories in it. International and local travels together. Such a handy and cute , yeah cute camera to hold.
I just bought a GH5 a couple of months ago. Probably use mostly for events. This is my upgrade from a GH3 I've been using for a few years which is becoming my event backup. I do hope Lumix shows m43 more love...like you do!!! I think we need a GX9ii AND a G100ii. Different price points.
I brought this camera off of eBay last year at a great price. It has pretty much replaced my GM1 as my travel camera. Small and light it fits nicely in my shoulder bag. G100+PL15mm= great images.
I used this camera on a 3 month trip and think it is fantastic. It is so light especially with the kit, i hang it around my shoulder in a cheap light (100 gram) bag and not feel any weight. About Ibis : i have 12 32 kit, lumix 42.5 and mini 35-100 and all 3 have ois. Only my 25mm is not stabelized, wished it was. I like the back wheel, why need all those extra buttons like iso, or drive wheel, this works just as great. Improvements : C1,C2,C3 on the dial. Or at least one C with 1-10, why not?Usb C is great, but i find opening the door without nails difficult, so i attached a tape flap to it. I would like uncropped 4k with 60p, should be no problem with the newest chips. Great camera, but i am not sure i take my G9 on my next trip for the uncropped 4k.
Because it was so hated, I bought two for £291 (each), brand new, about 6 months after release, so I could retire my scratched, and generally beaten-up, GX80s (which still work fine). Bonus: same batteries!. For me, there are no flaws. Does the job sufficiently for what I want (incl. print up to 40"x30" with ease if I want). And I really don't care what "camera guys" think. After all, it's just a tool.
So glad this got another review! I've had the G100 for a couple months and loved it for photos! It has everything I was looking for and i was never going to be a vlogger
Love your youtube channel!❤ I never sold anything of my M43 gear- oldies now- 2 panasonic and 4 olympus cameras and a lot of primes and zooms- always been happy with the system but the tendency towards heavier new cameras- and lenses- is not the way to go!
Nice video. This camera is, in a way, an LX100 substitute that is less expensive for Panasonic to manufacture. I suspect that the Panasonic-Leica partnership makes it more profitable for both companies to have rangefinder-style photo-centric cameras to be sold by Leica, hence a new D-Lux but not an LX100iii. I have an LX100 and the build quality is more than most people can appreciate, so I get why Panasonic dropped it. But Leica owners would gladly pay for build quality and the feeling of the camera in the hand, so here we are.
For someone looking for a new entry level camera, the G100 isn’t a bad option. For someone like me who has an Olympus EM10ii tho, it would be a lateral move at best. Praying for a GX10 with PDAF tho!
I have never had a M43 camera, though my first digital was an Olympus E-420, and I loved it for the handling. When the M43 cameras came out, Olympus especially left behing the awesome ergonomics, like putting the power switch where? But, this guy seems rather appealing to me. As an all manual stills photographer, this ticks a lot of boxes. Of course, I would have to get it in my hand to know for sure, but it looks like a smaller A7, which is my absolute favourite camera. I guess we'll see what Santa Chris brings himself down the chimney.
My favourite thing about this camera is the slowmotion abilities- it has auto focus in this mode, which surprised me. But the down sides, some of which you mention, annoyed me so much that I sold it and bought an Olympus E-M5ii (with change to spare :) and have not regretted it for one minute. Except for the horrifying Olympus menu of course... 😅
I have been bouncing back and forth on deciding between the G100D and the GX850. I haven’t owned an m43 camera in ages but still have my lenses. Anyway, the 20mp and usbc keeps me wanting the G100D. Regardless we can surely all agree Panasonic simply just needs to freaking come out with a new small/lightweight camera! Darn it!
Love love love my g100 so much its far from perfect but it was a great entry level camera for me and even though im looking to upgrade eventually to a more specd out camera this will forever stay my go to carry camera for my casual photography
Hay Em I totally agree 2020 is hindsight. I loved my em5 and only dreamed of an GM5. No mechanical shutter and the price left me swiveling like your dalek camera swivel with capture clip😅 u kept throwing me with 'wild camping' term. I imagined u and Ur hubby in a tent with disco lights and a smoke machine going but then realised you were talking about not on a campsite 😂. If only Om systems and Panasonic teamed up to make a body together we'd have the weather sealing, Ibis, real shutter and a miniature body to boot. Love being a part of your journey did unsub a few years back but then returned to your content. I only own Olympus bodies now but they are accompanied by Lumix lenses. Did own a G7 but it was full of bad JuJu and went missing too. Keep the hits coming mate
Bought one myself as an EDC camera a couple of months ago, with the brilliant 12-60mm Leica Panasonic lens. I don't vlog, stills and 1080p videos only. It's a fantastic EDC option, especially at £300 s/h in Excellent Condition.
Another great review. I don't think i will get a G100 only because i don't Vlog, i have a G7 and an EM10, and lastly, i have too many cameras. If i find it at a super discount used, i might.
The G100 is a stripped down G9, but I have owned a g7 and it was amazing. I love my G100, but the G7 has better ergonomics, due to the larger size and it's remarkably light. The difference between 16 and 20 megapixels is not worth comparing.
If only Panasonic would understand that we want a Gx10 with phase detection autofocus, no crop in 4K, live LUT. Just give us an S9 shaped micro 4/3 body with mecanical shutter and an evf
The interesting thing is that the GX-8 body was slightly larger, and much better laid out, than Sony's A7c . So theoretically, they could probably build an L mount camera with the S5/S9 running gear on the Gx-8 body. Which would be awesome. Pair it with some Sigma i-series primes and it'd be a cracking combination.
Wow, I was listening to your video in the background while I was searching info online on whether should I get the EM5 Mk2 over the EM5 Mk3, despite the newer sensor, just based on built quality alone and materials. And while I stumbled on a post on reddit with some pictures of a Mk3 with a broken bottom plate, at the same time you reached that point in your video. WOW, I thought I was hacked or something. But still legit point and my internet search just confirmed it 😂
Just a small add on I bought the G100D to go with my G9. I hardly ever use the G9 now. With my Nissin i40 on the G100D and HSS enabled I get up to 1/500th sync speed. The i60 for some reason will only do it with the head pointing forward the i40 will go in any direction with HSS. I can hand hold 1sec at 14mm and 1/6th at 140 mm , my favourite holiday lens. That's good enough for me, the G9 will go slower but I don't need it.
I have a lumix g9 and love it, my first mirrorless was a olympus epl-7 and i really miss that small form factor, i carried it a lot more, the bag for carrying my g9 is twice the size as the one i used for the olympus, been looking at the gx85 though.
Thx for this review/point of view. With IBIS and phase AF, sure it will be a hit, but without them it fills so much outdated... (and it was marketed as a video blog camera... but it is an interesting compact photo camera, like the GM were... I still love my GM5 and we are a lot of people waiting for its successor : a good compact camera, oriented to passionate photographers)
I love your videos. You are so knowledgeable, and your photographs are wonderful! I especially love landscape photos, of which you are truly a master! What I don't like is how you invariably make me want another camera! I'm a loyal fan of Olympus, but for reasons I don't quite remember, I own three Lumix lenses with OIS. So, this video about the Panasonic G100 has me intrigued!
I am soooo glad it was poorly marketed because I got an open box for 50% of new! If you play to its features it's remarkable especially for, you know, photography.
I find it useful for two things. photography with the stabilized pana 42.5mm and as a third video camera with the laowa 10mm which is about 25mm with the mft crop X 4K crop. Only good for 10 minutes tho
Hello from California. I have steadily grown to enjoy your video presentations quite a bit. I now have you to blame for peaking my interest in M43 cameras and drawing some of my attention away from my Canon ecosystem. Keep up the excellent work.
I like your landscape photos. I know a lot of landscape photographers go for golden hour. But I also like high noon they look like stills from a old cowboy movie.
I remember wondering about the G7/G70 missing the sensor stabilization (which explained the price compared to the G80/81) and IMHO it's a major flaw for ANY modern cam with interchangeable lenses (and it's one feature I love Pentax for). Sure. The lower weight and size is nice, but overall, why not get a bridge for this purpose? Buying a not-to-cheap neutered M43 to use it with an expensive pancake als an EDC? Doesn't make sense to me. PS: Just wondering by now: my G81 HAS a recording limit ... could this be removed by applying the G80 firmware?!?
I bought one as a walkaround camera because it was on a deep discount for black Friday two years ago. It sorta turned me off micro 4/3 and mirrorless in general for a bit... but maybe I'm using it wrong. Also, maybe a higher end m43 camera would actually end up amazing for me, if most of my big problems with the G100 are actually solved in the nicer bodies?
What do you think of the two new cameras Lumix just released? The new point and shoot TZ99 was a surprise, I thought Lumix already announced they were out of the point and shoot market.
My understanding is to keep selling them in the EU they had to comply and make them USBc so it's a very minor update. I'm also glad they're keeping current stock of the point and shoot !
Thanks for the video. I got one of these to film guitar tuition videos and I'm kind of stuck with it until I can get something better for filming. I was dissapointed to find that I can't use an external monitor with it. When I press record, the hdmi output stops working! I really like the camera for photos though and managed to get some decent video footage. What settings would you use for filming indoors on a trypod? I'd be greatful for any suggestions. Thanks!
Olympus em10 iv on refurbished sales is a better deal. 389-399 dollars. Has a lot of stills features and slightly better video bit rate.I got one along with the 14mm f2.5. great combination. Very pocketable and lots of fun.
I just call out a critical difference between G100D and the original G100- and yes, it's that EVF. The original EVF has a lot of distortion, horrible contrast, etc. which I understand got fixed now with the G100D. I tried the G100 and returned it because that EVF. Had it had the G100D EVF I would probably still be using it.
I just sold the g100. My cons were no ibis and no command dials. It was a nice camera but i kept leaning to my Oly em10 III. I also felt empty without an actual shutter sound and feel.
Been taking my G100 around NYC taking photos of Xmas window dsplaya, many of which feature LED lighting, with consequent weirdness in some electronic-shutter stills. Cannot figure how to turn EFC shutter mode on or what the restrictions are, aside from shutter speed. Mayday, mayday!
EFC (mechanical shutter) is in Menu [Camera] [Shutter Type] which will avoid banding at higher shutter speeds. Some LEDs have high frequency refresh (flicker) so best not to use fast shutter speeds or LEDs might appear off. Best bet is to use 1/60 shutter speed (US is 60Hz AC)
@RJ-dv5mg I have found the appropriate menu but no matter what I do EFC is always greyed out. No hint from the camera as to what other settings must be changed.
For me the improvements of the G97 over the G100 are worth the slightly larger size and weight. Although I really wish they would have put the new sensor in the G97. I think it is about the perfect size for an MFT camera.
I have no disagreement that the Lumix G100(D) is, to be fair, a great camera. However, there is one thing that concerns me. In one of Panasonic's official use case movies/RUclips videos, there is an example photo of a still image that contains only a distant view and has been stopped down to f/16. The shutter speed is relatively slow. It is rare that a Micro Four Thirds camera needs to be stopped down beyond f/5.6. My guess as to why this is happening is that there is a quirk in the Intelligent Auto Exposure or Program AE settings. In other words, I assume that the shutter speed is trying to be reduced to the shutter speed that can be handled by the electronic first curtain. If this is the case, then using Aperture Priority AE should avoid this problem, so it is not a major issue.
I really wanted to love this little camera. I kept it around way longer than I should have, mostly because I was stubborn and wanted to prove the naysayers wrong. For context, I’m a 35mm film wedding photographer and only pull out digital-my D700-for receptions. I was looking for something small that could handle the occasional video and work as a fun party camera. But the G100 wasn’t it. No IBIS for video. I know, I could have just used the retractable kit lens, but when things are happening fast, that’s one more step I didn’t want to deal with. The second problem was even worse. The controls change so easily if you leave the camera on, toss it in a bag, and whip it out again. Every time I’d grab it, the settings would be all over the place. It got frustrating fast. Look at the G100 wrong and the settings change too. Sold it and picked up the Olympus EM-1. It does everything the G100 was supposed to do.
@@HenkWalks Perhaps I wasn’t clear enough earlier-I was referring to the physical dials and buttons being so flimsy that even the slightest touch can change the settings. For example, when I let the camera hang from my wrist (I use leather wrist straps), the settings often shift unintentionally. Maybe it was just my copy? Who knows.
I used to use a Lumix Panasonic camera, but I gave up on Panasonic and got an Olympus OM-D E-M1 because the Panasonic had a very unreliable auto-focus.
I think Panasonic has excellent autofocus...for most photography. It's very quick and accurate. Not the best for continuous autofocus in video, but shot to shot autofocus doesn't disappoint me.
Using my 9mm and my steady hand makes my videos just fine. I go way back when I just held the camera steady. Oh well. My G9II becomes my studio camera. Thanks.
The danger of micro four third is about its lenses. They are so damn cheap and i want to buy all of them. Pair them with small camera body and it makes you go crazy to try every MFT lenses. I had GF10 and i love it. I did pair it with 7artisans 35mm f0.95.. what a lovely combo for video. I also had GH5II but too heavy and bulky to carry around. I maybe consider to get G100D. But now Lumix has come out with TZ99.. it looks beautiful. No need to swap lenses. But at the same time, no bokeh..!😊
I would imagine the Olympus alternative would the OM-D E-M10 IV which is also plastic fantastic, released in 2020, but has the better software for video and 4.5 stops of IBIS? 🤔
very good points (as usual here! a skilled perspective🙏) wouldn't mind a rangefinder style neather... but i wouldn't mind anything smaller then G9ii with PDAF and EVF IBIS G97 is not what i am waiting for... we will see i guess
a G200 (or G100 II) with Real Time Lut + PDAF + IBIS + faster mechanical shutter (1/8000s) + UHS-II SD Slot + USB 3.2 gen 2x2 + NFC + GH7 like articulating screen + 20fps burst raw shooting + no crop at 4K + 4K120 & 1080p300 or 1080p480 modes (all at high bitrates and no crops) for $700 body only would be killer.
I take it that the advertising blurb that says: "The 5-Axis HYBRID I.S. ensures that your videos are smooth and shake-free, even when shooting on the move" is just referring to the ability to put on a lens with image stabilisation?
A lens can only ever deliver 2-axis stabilization. The fact that it's 5-axis and called "hybrid" means that it's digital stabilization - 2-axis optical from the lens, the other 3 from digital which requires a crop.
How does the build of the G100 compare to the EM 5 mark III? The monitor on my Mark II is starting to die and I’ll need to replace it with a newer tiny camera. Thanks to anyone who answers!
Interessant Ansicht dieser Kamera. So Genua habe ich noch nie darüber nachgedacht. Wenn möglich deine nächsten Videos mit deutschen audiotrack von RUclips 😊
its a fuji, they can make anything put film simulation in it and it will sell like hot cake and i think fuji didn't focus all their marketing on Vloging, and it have a great price(MSRP that is) for a fuji camera also i don't think Lumix have the same hype around it like fuji does
Funny how Markus Pix made a video about this camera and all of a sudden everyone else wants to talk about it now 🙄 like you could tell he was genuinely excited to share his love for this camera but everyone else is more like "it's what's hot right now, let's talk about it!"
My shaky hands require stabilisation for stills. Without ibis that limits my lens choice to one pancake and some heavy big lenses, making the g100 not a travel camera for me anymore.
Você acha/pensa/acredita que : Alice câmera 📷 + lentes de cinema (Meike, viltrox, etc...) Pode funcionar? Bom? Ótimo? Excelente? Absolutamente cinema? Meu presente de Natal
I have been through 3 cameras since the virus em5 mark ii, em5 mark iii. Which the shutter wouldn't work any more. Now just this month purchase and om 5 body because i already have the lenses i want over 20 lenses. And now love doing macro photography. But i use bellows, microscope objectives. Taking many pictures stacked together. An average week over 10,000 shutter actuations. I now use silent shutter and continuous lighting. Things are so expensive now. Santa 🎅 can I get a global shutter , I'll leave some milk out I've been a good this year love you always ❤matt.
I do not get the appeal of the G100. Just get the GX80/85 for that form factor. IBIS. Good enough 4K. Audio input is overrated, you can easily sync audio in post.
From what I remember the recording limits was some stupid law in the EU. Anything that recorded longer then 29:59 got a camcorder tax. GH cameras did not have it because they kind of sold them as low end filmmakers and that's something here in other countries they knew not to make people mad. So they had to make two versions of the firmware for different markets. Some of the other cameras they did not waste their time writing two different firmware's for different markets. I know here in America filmmakers hated the recording limits on Canon.
It's a very, very bad camera. For one simple reason - it's evf makes it non_pocketable camera. Have it been a rangerfinder (S9 like) style,it would be perfect. I'd buy a few of them. Only reason I picked g1 over it was g1's portability. G100 is just so much bigger and bulkier 🤮
X-M5: "All the vloggers hate me" 😭
G100: "First time?"
🤣
X-M5: "But several street photographers love me..." 🙂
The G100 got one thing wrong: marketing (as you correctly stated) for stills it is awesome
Just after MarkusPix did another Video on the G100. Funny how that worked out.
But yeah its a cool camera but there are lots of great alternatives at its price
I did one too😢
Which one are you thinking of?
Great video as always, Emily. You really are building a legacy in the camera world! Thank you for all you do!

I really love the form factor. Just didn't get one because Olympus spoiled me with IBIS.
💯

great camera, just wrong marketing tagline.. if only G100 advertised as travel photography camera

Netter then GM1 ?
@@mvhan911 well, it’s several years of improvements on the sensor, so from a tech perspective, yes.

The E-M5 II is extremely well-built, with a magnesium-alloy body. The E-M5 III is poorly built, all cheap plastic.
I still think the gx8 is the best so far, because it is tiny and weather sealed and has ibis and is pretty darn light. Also its built well.
That is one of my all time faves too for the same reasons 😁
Always informative , entertaining and realistic videos of our micro 4/3rds world. Thank you for putting them out there.
Thanks so much ☺️
Great review. PLEASE PLEASE do a EM5 mk ii vs EM5 iii, focused on video autofocus, menus, and any extra video settings the EM5 iii may give.
Love my little g100 with a good prime lens.
I had one of these still photography gems. Gone full frame now but it was great while it lasted…✌️
the camera menu is very similar to lumix lx100II. great video.
My G100 + oly 75mm is fantastic for street photography.
Hello from New York City! At 06:40, which flash do you have on the Olympus EM5? Thank you for your informative video.
Is the sensor readout fast enough to eliminate warping when photographing fast moving subjects using the electronic shutter?
Nope. It's quite slow.
Oh love your "TAXI" S9!
@thedrunkweddingphotographer Why not use custom settings?
@@HenkWalks Perhaps I wasn’t clear enough earlier-I was referring to the physical dials and buttons being so flimsy that even the slightest touch can change the settings. For example, when I let the camera hang from my wrist (I use leather wrist straps), the settings often shift unintentionally.
Maybe it was just my copy? Who knows.
What I do is set the camera to power off after a few seconds, the Wi Fi goes out, then I put it in my bag and nothing gets accidentally changed.
😂 great monologue!
The problem of M43 is they both forgot the compact size market other than OM-1 mkii or G9mkii
very good points (as usual here! a skilled perspective🙏)
wouldn't mind a rangefinder style neather... but i wouldn't mind anything smaller then G9ii with PDAF and EVF IBIS
G97 is not what i am waiting for... we will see i guess
a G200 (or G100 II) with Real Time Lut + PDAF + IBIS + faster mechanical shutter (1/8000s) + UHS-II SD Slot + USB 3.2 gen 2x2 + NFC + GH7 like articulating screen + 20fps burst raw shooting + no crop at 4K + 4K120 & 1080p300 or 1080p480 modes (all at high bitrates and no crops) for $700 body only would be killer.
Hi has gyro data?
I take it that the advertising blurb that says: "The 5-Axis HYBRID I.S. ensures that your videos are smooth and shake-free, even when shooting on the move" is just referring to the ability to put on a lens with image stabilisation?
A lens can only ever deliver 2-axis stabilization. The fact that it's 5-axis and called "hybrid" means that it's digital stabilization - 2-axis optical from the lens, the other 3 from digital which requires a crop.
They should just update this one with phrase detect autofocus and it will be even more useful in more scenarios.
How does the build of the G100 compare to the EM 5 mark III? The monitor on my Mark II is starting to die and I’ll need to replace it with a newer tiny camera. Thanks to anyone who answers!
The EM5 mk 111 had a lot of bottom plate fails, dpreview was full of them.
Interessant Ansicht dieser Kamera. So Genua habe ich noch nie darüber nachgedacht. Wenn möglich deine nächsten Videos mit deutschen audiotrack von RUclips 😊
What is the meaning of "bluming"?
excellent, summed up in 20mins.
What about IBIS on X-M5 ? It’s not there either and still it is selling like hot cake
its a fuji, they can make anything put film simulation in it and it will sell like hot cake
and i think fuji didn't focus all their marketing on Vloging, and it have a great price(MSRP that is) for a fuji camera
also i don't think Lumix have the same hype around it like fuji does
Same video but much better thumbnail than Markuspix
At least, the G97 has been announced but the G100 successor had not been announced.
If only Capture One supported the raw files from this camera 😭
11:28 Wait... was that a Captain Planet reference...?
It was!
Funny how Markus Pix made a video about this camera and all of a sudden everyone else wants to talk about it now 🙄 like you could tell he was genuinely excited to share his love for this camera but everyone else is more like "it's what's hot right now, let's talk about it!"
Well. I've been in Norway for a week and filmed this before I went so I guess I'm a time traveller.
My shaky hands require stabilisation for stills. Without ibis that limits my lens choice to one pancake and some heavy big lenses, making the g100 not a travel camera for me anymore.
It seem like this camera was made by the same Team that made the GH5S...
This Camera should be great for Gimbals.
Você acha/pensa/acredita que : Alice câmera 📷 + lentes de cinema (Meike, viltrox, etc...)
Pode funcionar?
Bom? Ótimo? Excelente? Absolutamente cinema?
Meu presente de Natal
I want a G97 with a G100 price tag 😅
I just want this but with 10bit video
I have been through 3 cameras since the virus em5 mark ii, em5 mark iii. Which the shutter wouldn't work any more. Now just this month purchase and om 5 body because i already have the lenses i want over 20 lenses. And now love doing macro photography. But i use bellows, microscope objectives. Taking many pictures stacked together. An average week over 10,000 shutter actuations. I now use silent shutter and continuous lighting. Things are so expensive now. Santa 🎅 can I get a global shutter , I'll leave some milk out I've been a good this year love you always ❤matt.
i didn't love it until i put the 12-35 leica on it and it looks soooooo baaaaad now. just wish they made a baseplate.
g100d has much much better evf and usbc charging . really a great camera now a days
...and then today they announced the G97
Someone in my comments send me tests against the G9 and brother. The G100 looked better
I do not get the appeal of the G100. Just get the GX80/85 for that form factor. IBIS. Good enough 4K. Audio input is overrated, you can easily sync audio in post.
I thought the g95 was a much better camera when i looked at both and not much bigger... So thats what i ended up with
G100 is the G3 mk II
Stop raising the prices of these hidden gems…😅
From what I remember the recording limits was some stupid law in the EU. Anything that recorded longer then 29:59 got a camcorder tax.
GH cameras did not have it because they kind of sold them as low end filmmakers and that's something here in other countries they knew not to make people mad. So they had to make two versions of the firmware for different markets. Some of the other cameras they did not waste their time writing two different firmware's for different markets.
I know here in America filmmakers hated the recording limits on Canon.
That EU law ended the year before the G100 was released, and anyway, it wouldn't have anything to do with the 4K being limited to 10 minutes.
Well, maybe they should have marketed it as a camera for “old men” 😂
It's a very, very bad camera. For one simple reason - it's evf makes it non_pocketable camera. Have it been a rangerfinder (S9 like) style,it would be perfect. I'd buy a few of them. Only reason I picked g1 over it was g1's portability. G100 is just so much bigger and bulkier 🤮
DanDaDan!!!
