Hi beh
Well said! Most ppl in leadership positions are not leaders. Not to mention I've seen managers clearly have issues with jealousy which comes from fear, racism, sexism...etc. Fair bosses are extremely RARE.
True!
So true💯
True. I'm dealing with this
Another way is when they talk to an employee about something in private ,then proceed to humiliate that employee in front of other workers . I've seen this happen to a few of my co-workers .
My boss needs to watch this video. I think the problem with a lot of managers is that they're super comfortable in a high position and are so out of touch with their employees.
Wow. The first 6 mistakes mentioned are exactly why I ended up leaving my well paid job. It seemed unwise to leave and I had a lot of worry about what would happen, but something in me deep down was telling me to make the jump. It is amazing how well this relates to my previous job. Thanks for the insight.
promises that they care more about your mental health, but complains more about numbers during meetings
I appreciate what you're saying. However, your speaking of manager's who are lacking leadership skills which is only part of issue. I believe the other part of this conversation of bad management should include managers who possess personality disorders. Such as, narcissists, sociopaths, and psychopaths.
And liars too
Those disorders are basically the result of bad management skills.
Still makes them bad leaders so what's your point 😂
In order to actually be a great candidate for a boss position in a corporate setting, you better be a narcissist!😂 duh! 😮 CORPORATIONS DONT PROFIT OFF OF TEAMWORK, ONLY SUPPLY TO DEMAND,MORAL COMPASS IS A BAD STRATEGY,!
Some issues with inexperienced management can include
.Dragging employees to different tasks in an inefficient way which increases stress for employees
. Not responsive or uncaring towards the concerns of employees or indifferent to the hard work employees do
. Not letting employees express stress in a healthy way like in private.
Most bosses today are lazy and stupid and we’re babied by their parents and have no clue how to manage human behavior and make them happy and productive
Totally! Or they have “daddy issues”, and feel like they have to compete with a more successful family member, thus making them insecure jerks.
@@princessmarlena1359 this!
Couldn’t agree more. 😂
They believe that employees should do more work than for what they are paid. Also, if they demand an employee does the work of multiple people but for one paycheck.
Thats exactly what is happening at my utility company, making 2 or 3 employees out of one.
Not to put a downer on your motivational speech. This pat on the back you speak of I generally got, Mainly because I was valued. In one job I was made redundant. There was no voluntary redundancy offered, but I made it clear that I was not happy in the position and that even on paper I was not someone that they could replace easily.
Leading up to my last day I was sent to help the contractors install and train people on new equipment. On the day that I left and picked up all of my tools. I hadn't taken most of my annual leave for a year and my redundancy was on April 1st but my last day was in early March.
On that day while I was picking up all of my tools the boss turned up and asked me to do something the next day. I told him that this was my last day and that I was finished. He said "But I need you here"! and I replied "You should have thought about that when you decided to make me redundant"!
Priceless!
My supervisor actually said many times " I don't believe I should praise people for just doing their job"
Appreciate your people and you will keep them.
I got a job with the purpose of earning money. But the fuel that energized me was the love in my heart. I wanted to help my employers make a profit. I wanted to help the next guy in line in production by communicating clearly enough not to cause him delays. It is a terrible mistake for a boss to squelch that drive inside a good worker by demoralizing them with ill treatment. I was fortunate enough before I retired to work those last 15 years with a group of people and customers that I could truly care for.
my manager is primarily focused on his reports being obedient, but then will have a meeting asking why we aren't more creative, and then tell us our answers to that question are wrong.
Motivation in very important in any profession!!!
Was worried about losing me & lost me anyways. I don't work surrounded by drug addicts who do their drugs on the job & constantly get away with it. Just gonna sit back & watch that business go down now.
Extremely good! I am a senior tech type (Non-manager) . Good people can leave if they want to ... the reason ..they are good they are constantly getting offers! That is worth considering. Good employees will be fine they are making a statement about the environment created by leaving! Management then encores the cost of recruitment, training, salary ,potential loss of other members by the ripple of the breakdown of an organization. In short listening and creating a positive environment for real and having real integrity is less costly then the alternative. It is your choice as a manager do what you will, but understanding your people is worth your time!
encores probably should be inherits - I often write these on my weekly youtube drink fest.....I am on one now!
Signals of a bad boss: using words, phrases, questions like, " it is what it is", "agreed", "I'll take that as a yes/no", the excessive use of replying to your employees always with "Can you..." when they are already asking the boss a question or a needed solution.
Absolutely true.
Recognition of gifts and talents is vital to building a good work team. And is the very reason I have moved on as often as I have. This was an amazing video!
You are right on spot. This is 100% accurate.
This is informative! Thanks. I left my job before because of my boss too. Urrgghh.. It was stressful
💯 Thank you. This explains so much!
Short. Simple. Amazing. This is by far the best business video I have ever watched!
Thanks for the advice. Will be helpful in the future for me :)
Yes! Late night motivation!
Something people aren`t taught is that most managers, yes most of them, feel threatened by a top performer. As do most of their same level colleagues. Instead of quitting job after job as a top performer hoping that the next place will have better management realise you are the problem. You are turning managers and colleagues against you. While it might not be right, and while idealists might not want to hear it, you live in a non perfect world and have to adapt yourself to how other people actually are.
If you want to be an amazing performer save it for your own business. When working for someone else note who gets ahead. Is it really the top performers? Is it those who are average? Or the underperformers. It is very rarely the top performers, its normally the average ones who have made friends with the managers.
for the first one most time they dont give raises and if they do it is a raise probably like 10-20 cents which is a joke
Just like in the grocery store chain i work in. Every 6 months, 20 cents until you reach the maximum 12 months later.
@@ParasiteQueen1 after 12 its 30cents lol
@@eibbor171 Lol smh
I dont know how but you have the right vision of what a manager do
What a Great video and so True…Thank You
Perfectly on point 👉 ✅
Good video! Another GREAT resource on the subject is a piece titled The Hatchet Man's Playbook - a LOT of eye-popping, non-obvious stuff!
Your right 100000% Godbless u
Was thinking I might wait till Monday but at this rate I might just leave tomorrow. Lol. I might just leave today lol. It’s Saturday.
Managers don’t give two weeks notice when they fire someone so why should employees? Fire the managers you don’t want to work for .
You are so bang on !
Thank you Victoria!
When managers don’t allow their team autonomy in their work. This is a mistake as people need the freedom to select the work that they would like to do, and how they would like to do it.
#2 - employees are classified as second class citizens and customers come first, thus resulting in customers don't matter😂🤣
#4 - you're not allowed to do side hustles according to the contract, but everyone does, because they don't pay enough. One of my old managers had to work 2 extra jobs on top of being a manager for the company. I am still trying to get out before lay off season.
For the eager, hungry and hard working employees out there, Mgmt. is unable or unwilling (apathetic) to provide objective career path towards career advancement.
I love my job, I’m good at it, and I even was able to increase our stats. But my manager can be snotty to me, and she makes some mistakes and when you point them out (so they can be fixed) she gets defensive rather than wanting to solve, and she often fails to communicate and then is mad you don’t know what she wants or what you should do. Is this toxic? It certainly is frustrating to me, and I’m always dreading going to work not knowing if she is going to be snotty or happy.
Hell yeah it's very toxic
Ok, good 👍👍👍👍
#4 I’m an associate dealing with this and #5 I have been a 12 year retail associate feeling demoted #6 I dealt with especially I dealt with a mean coworker a year ago #7 to

They keep redefining your position as a justification for less pay/responsibilities/growth.
They also redefine your position and job title to include a wider area to cover because they are unable to get someone else to work outside of your area.
This video really made me cry...
I was abuser for 3 years 3 fucking years how my dickhead boss sabotaged my career..the feelings haunt me..
So sorry to now this, you've got this! Sometimes, these kind of experiences will make us wiser and stronger. 💪🙌 - Mary from Success Insider
1 year of bullying here
You only stayed 3 years because your a good person and you worked for others that needed it
Investors should be taking note of the work environments in companies in their portfolio.
Tesla is not a good example. Low pay; which turnover, minuscule pay raises
Ain't #2 the truth 😩😒
I quit my 2 previous jobs before going to my current job which i love. It was shocking how much i actually love going to work now.
Because my 2nd previous job my manager saw me as a threat and wanted me to do whatever he wanted while he just watched BS shows on netflix at his computer all day.
My last manager at Fedex, lets just say my managers were bullying me. So i didn't bully back, at that point i went Gangster.
T3l3MuNd0 Are the FedEx bosses at the bottom of the Mississippi River tied to cinder blocks. That would be true gangster so I’d like some clarification lol
#5!
At first I thought the job I got into was okay but stayed way too long! Should've left after a couple of years.
I'm in housekeeping dealing with a bully boss from hell
Tamika Driver What was the turning point that made you determine that you had a bully on your hands? You quit and gave them the finger by now hopefully
oh hell no
RE: Recognition - it's just as bad when, after no recognition for years, a manager learns the technique and some seminar or class ... then starts spewing out recognition for inconsequential and trivial things. It comes across as totally transparent and insincere.
Insightful! Now, the video is about people; One may have a wonderful though naive manager at a McDonald's franchise, and, really... would that be wise, to lean on economically? So many people do. A wonderful, but naive manager at a McDonald's franchise. The people you'll find within a company will also depend on the company itself, and the stage its at; E.g. a creative startup vs. a well established but conservative firm vs. stalwarts with vested interests, actually having become - waaay beyond being just conservative - corrupted on the money side; E.g. the medical industry, suppressing negative results on their products while keeping on charging Big Bucks for their... err, junk? Then... Err, Coca-Cola? McDonald's? Yes. We all know very well you shouldn't be eating there. Let alone take your kids to it. And, what you'll get for working there? 'Not much', right? In fact, one might argue the added value to society is a net negative, since you're being complicit in 'serving' (*) other people - & kids - junk food. Yes, that's what it's actually called; junk food.
Kind regards
(*) What's in a word? "Serving."
Most bosses care about their finances and not their employees. That is what I deal with every shift.
They are constantly cutting hours.
grate vidio
good
My boss was upset I had signed up for a one-person shift. I'll admit, I am much better with a helping hand and guide, but come on, that's no excuse for being insensitive. One of our student leader's responsibilities is organizing who works which shifts on the schedule, and my boss scolded him for not noticing I had signed up for a one-person shift. When she asked him if she thought I could do the shift, I answered for him with a firm "yes," because I felt belittled by her. She said she didn't think so, was all "I've told you not to sign up for shifts by yourself, I've been very clear about that, I don't know how much clearer I can get for you to listen" (something like, that, so I'm not perfectly quoting her), and she told me I need someone there to give me instructions and guide me. I'm mad at myself for not standing up to her. She intimidates me when she's in a bad mood, but still, at the very least, I should've told her "my family always taught me to be self-confident and believe in my abilities," to challenge her to coldly disagree with that. But I don't think I'm gonna quit. The job itself is quite fine; it's the boss I can't stand. Hopefully one day she'll increase my anxiety to the point of a high blood pressure. THAT'LL teach her!
Nice
So dang TRUE😠😡 Thank you Mr. Tim
This video has literally depicted the actual image of my boss ugh..
8 - They keep redycibg their workers/employees' salaries or don't pay them at all.
yes
Those places are called Turn-and-Burn Shops - right out of The Hatchet Man's Playbook.
Don't tell your manager you have an open schedule. You will NEVER have a day off.

Absolute micro managing !!!!! Horrendous
