this is one of those videos that no matter how long ago it was posted, it is going to help anyone who is currently in this position, or preparing for this season in their life. I'm 7 months pregnant and everyone keeps telling me I'm going to bounce back... but in reality I have no idea what's going to happen and this just helped me feel so much better about what normal might actually look like when it comes to postpartum journeys

I'm so glad to hear this❤️ everyone's journey is so different and it sometimes to just takes our bodies time! It can be hard during the process but trusting your body knows what it's doing gives such peace of mind. Congratulations!!

Girl. Im pregnant with #3 right now, and with my last baby i was back in my high waisted size 2 jeans a week and a half later. This time around im dealing with pelvic floor prolapse, working full time, and 3rd grader and a toddler to chase. My heart is overwhelmed thinking about what my body may look like. Thank you for your honesty and sharing your journey 🩷

Thank you for making this video! I am 11 months postpartum and have 30 more pounds to go. I was feeling super insecure about my body weight because I lost ten pounds after six weeks, but then started to gain weight again even though I was breastfeeding! I am really proud of myself that I have lost 5 pounds over the last six weeks and want to continue my journey!

Oh my gosh THANK YOU for making this. I’m 6 months PP after c section and my body is similar to your before. I also gained 50 lbs, lost 20 and now having a hard time losing the additional 30. I am having the hardest time losing between taking care of baby, sleepless nights and taking care of myself but I’m exactly like you: I’m not a fast snap-back body like other women are. And thank you for explaining how it feels to have the extra tummy fat while working out! I tried to tell my husband how awful it looks and feels to have a pudgy tummy while I was doing abs yesterday and I was so sad. It’s such a weird feeling to know you’re not the same as you were before, but like you said, it’s all within time. God will give strength to push through 🙏🏼

Thank you so much for sharing ❤️ it honestly is so hard to see your body look so different, but it truly just takes time. It is so hard to find the time to do everything with all the exhaustion so I totally understand!! It's just a process, you got this❤️

I am 9 months postpartum and have 60 pounds to lose. I have started my journey 3 weeks ago. complete lifestyle change, water intake, low carb, home workout and it has become so much easier since I have started it. I have alot of overhang on the c section scar. It gets me emotional but I hope it all goes away.

Im almost 3 weeks PP with baby number 2. I am about 25lbs over my pre pregnancy weight still, and looking forward to slowly getting back to walking and light weights. I just want to be healthy and strong for myself and my family. ❤ I delivered all natural and definitely am having a better recovery.

Hi, I’m new here! 😊 Thank you for this video! Been struggling to lose the last 25 pounds ( lost about 60 so far). Nobody truly knows how hard postpartum weight loss and body image is unless they’ve been through it. Love that you’re a believer too! 🙏

The stress from school made me gain weight. I started exercising and started losing inches then boom I got pregnant. My starting weight with baby was 208lb currently weigh 211. I don’t want to gain more than 15lbs since I am already overweight. 😢 I do have my cheat days but my goal is to work out 3-4 times a week. I have also cut out processed foods. My weakness is soda! I hate soda lol but I guess baby girl likes it. Good luck to all the mommies out there. You got this!

Your pregnancy sounds so similar to my first pregnancy minus the severe morning sickness. I gained 55lbs (I’m 5’4) I was also the leanest and strongest before pregnancy and it took me 18 months to lose the weight and get back somewhat of what I was pre pregnancy. I’m pregnant with #2 and I have to say all these tips that you’ve shared do work to help stay healthier during pregnancy and have helped keep me from gaining a lot of weight.

This was so encouraging to watch. My first two pregnancies were night and day different when is came to postpartum. This time I recovered so quickly but the weight is just not coming off. 5 months pp I’ve been feeling pretty discouraged. Thanks for sharing your journey and adding some perspective for us struggling mamas!

Super proud of you Rachel. I remember myself going through this stage. It is hard. But bringing life into this world is worth all of it. It’s a privilege to be a part of God’s creation. It always took my body at least 9 months to recover and get back to pre-pregnancy weight. And you are right, our bodies change and we need to acknowledge this change is a good thing, yet sometimes takes a bit to accept. Bravo on your honesty and transparency with your journey!

Sigh... Hoping that da comes for me where it just starts to fall off. 10 months PP here.. and weight just doesnt want to move no matter what. I am the same weight today as I was when i went home frrom the hospital... makes no sense. I lift weights 4-5 days a week, eat clean and meal prep and walk on a walking pad during my work days.. just stopped nursing a month ago, and was hoping that was the final thing for my body to be willing to release... I want to cry daily. Thanks for sharing.

Thank youuuu for the honesty! I'm almost 8 months pregnant and I'm really at this stage having trouble accepting myself and recognizing my body. I found my first stretch mark from Pregnancy todayz despite religiously oiling my skin everyday and it's just...ughh

I thought I'd eat better with my second baby which is due in 2 weeks, and with this baby I could not eat my preferred food either (which would be more healthy). I work full time, and by the time I got home I was so tired I had no energy not only to exercise but at all. I cannot eat eggs in any shape or form, and anything g that contains any trace of onions - be it in any kind of food. The food that I preferred I could not eat. I could only eat certain foods each week. I could not eat other foods that I craved, it would make me nauseous. I normally drink room temp water, I could only drink cold water. Pregnancy messes me up so badly, for months and months. I never feel all "normal" in any part any month of my pregnancy. Twice now. It's so not fun, at all. Very difficult. When you're not living it, you think "oh ill just be mindful" but when you're in it, you just want to live another day and survive.
As I think about it, everything i craved was carbs. I hated it. I felt nauseous from month 2 until mid month 6, no vomiting, except in the morning. But just pretty much nauseous all the time. Horrible, horrible feeling.

Great video, I think the term “back to pre-pregnancy body” is inaccurate, as you mentioned your body is not what it was but is now a beautiful new body. Our body can go back to pre-pregnancy weight but will not be the exact same body again and how can it, we’re always evolving.❤

Your story sounds sooo much like mine re: pregnancy weight gain and now I'm 2 months PP with 20-30 lbs to lose. I was running & hiking heaps pre-pregnancy and feeling so fit but struggled with having energy to work out while pregnant and gave into alll of my cravings like you. Thanks for sharing so openly on this.

Where did you buy those high waisted exercise shorts? I need high waisted clothes right now for my post partum belly. Also all of this is the same for me, the weight gain, not working out during pregnancy, etc.

I went clothe shopping couple days ago, they had mirrors everywhere in the change room and I got almost a 360 view. I was so shocked, embarrassed and upset at myself that I let it get that far (mind you breastfeeding makes me soooo hungry even if I eat high protein diet) noone needs 3000cal and I was gaining more weight after pregnancy. I left the mall and felt discouraged. I didn’t want to shop anymore, I just couldn’t believe at what I was seeing.

My daughter is 14 months as well and like you, I was super active pre-pregnancy, didn't workout much while pregnant, and now trying to get back into it! Would you mind sharing the detailed workout your sister gave you? I do so much better with guidance but I am getting a little bored with my usual routine!
Also, now that your daughter is older are you still working out during her first nap? My little one has dropped down to 1 nap so it makes it much harder! 🥰

I totally get it!! I was in the same boat. DM me on Instagram and I can send you more details about my workouts! :)
Now that my daughter is taking one long nap I just do my workout right at the beginning of her nap and then do everything else after!
