Why FNaF 1 is Terrifying

- The FNaF franchise spans just about 9 years now, and with a feature length movie on the way, I figured it was time to sit down and analyse which game I think is the scariest one in the franchise. Well, I've reached my conclusion, and here are my reasons why I think that spot is taken by the ever deserving, ever terrifying, Five Nights at Freddy's 1. The Original.

I've always held the belief that the FNaF 1 animatronic designs are the best because of their uncanniness. Contrast that with the Nightmares, who I feel are trying too hard to look scary to the point where I'm unphased.
Well, they're supposed to either represent how the child sees them, or that's how Afton created them to literally scare the shit out of the child
I see the animatronics as how a child who is deathly afraid of them would see them, that whole "mad scientist Afton" thing I just ignore as with anything after FNaF 4. That's me though.
@@darrenpingüino Your point?
@@gabrielfmm point of what? I'm just saying, they're not supposed to be uncanny or uncomfortable to see, just straight up terrifying for the kid
being able to run out of power is one of the most underrated aspects of FNAF1. In most of the other games, as long as you kept up the pattern and didn't slip in concentration, you could last the whole night without any difficulty, but that feeling of running out of power right at 5 AM, seeing Freddy do his music box chime schtick, and _especially_ when the room goes totally dark and you're practically BEGGING the clock to roll over in time is honestly the tensest and scariest moment in the whole game.
I had my Dad play it. My sister and I had tried repeatedly to scare him over the years to seldom get him to flinch even slightly.
FNAF1 had him sweating snd frantically clicking and ragequit when Freddy got him. Gotta give it props!
That’s an awesome story 🤣
I love this video. Only nitpick I have, is that in the first game the animatronics are already implied to be possessed by the ghosts of murdered children. First, there's the newpapers on Cam 4B that report the case of five missing children (there's five animatronics, too) that were never found, and that the animatronics leak blood and mucus, implying that the children were killed and stuffed inside the suits. Second, there's the multiple hallucinations of the "It's Me" through the entire pizzeria, and in Cam 4A you can see drawings of crying children replacing the posters of the animatronics. So, it's never directly stated that they are possessed, but they are heavily implied to be
And that’s what makes FNaF 1’s way of portraying it so scary. They never show you “pixel art” (the pixels are horribly stretched, it’s more like vector square art) of the events, it’s newspaper clippings and random facts that make you slowly realize what happened, and once you realize it there’s a sense of dread that doesn’t happen if you’re just told something.
That’s exactly what makes it so much better lol
The labored breathing when an animatronic is in your office as well
Also the existence of golden Freddy.
Exactly a lot of concepts actually originated from this game alone even with the lack of evidence people still theorized things and it caught Scott’s attention and he incorporated many ideas within the story so it can all kind of come together. The storyline of FNAF wasn’t even planned it just developed as Scott went along with each game due to the fan base
Correction we did have children being stuffed and possessing the animatronics in the first game. The whole stuffing you for a thinking that you are a animatronic is a lie by phone guy. You can tell that by all the Easter eggs and all. The creepy stuff happening in the nights.
if they arent stuffing us into suits because they think were endoskeletons why are they attacking us?
yeah, also I remember reading an interview with scott in which he discussed that while making the game and its story his mother didn’t really like the idea of the robots being possessed by the children inside them. He was talking about making Fnaf 1 so that proves he didn’t just make it up later
Yeah that part of this guy's take was confusing to me, i was fully on board for everything else but.. 1. That was lore as you said within fnaf 1, and 2. Bro literally the whole game had the paranormal elements in it. The hallucinations of freddy and bonnie, bonnie looking into the camera with black eyes, the rare screen of the endoskeleton turning on and it along with all the other suit heads turning to look into the camera, "IT'S ME," golden freddy, heads twitching in cameras, like brother.. seriously super crazy take to me he was so close to hitting the mark
Sure but the average person wasn't aware of that. All we knew at the time was that they were killer robots.
@@lonelylad9818 I was aware of that back then people didn't know in 2014 And that's one of the reasons why I wanted a movie so that people will know the true story of FNAF.
finally someone who agrees fnaf 1 is the scariest fnaf game its probably the second or third scariest horror game ever right up there with outlast (and outlast 2) and doom 3
Doom 3 is not a horror game, neither is Five Nights at Freddy's 1. The game simply lacks scariness, it is rince and repeat. Same strategy gets boring only actually scary fnaf game is Pizzeria Simulator.
Definitely nowhere in the stratosphere of being the scariest game lol. But it is easily the the scariest of the fnaf’s
exactly
fnaf one is a horror game although you dont find it scary but yes doom 3 isnt but its still terrifying and i still dont know why
@@CharlesDoGOAT FNAF 1 is a horror game
Well technically scott confirmed the whole child spirits thing right after the game game out, it's even hinted at via the I'm game posters
glad to see someone bring up the sunken eyes! it's THE thing that scared me when i first saw a pic of freddy as a kid
I feel like FNAF 1 and 4 are the scariest due to their amazing atmosphere and their emphasis on the fear of the unknown. None of the other games quite matched that tone since they were always concerned about pleasing lore nuts and creating as many merchandisable characters as possible.
(Also, I think the whole 1993 theory not only comes from the minimum wage thing, but also the fact that Fredbear's Family Diner was founded in 1973 which I think many people draw their conclusions from. Even though Freddy Fazbear and the gang didn't exist at that time and makes no sense why the Phone Guy would be talking about an entirely different restaraunt lol. Anyway, theory rant over. Great vid as always.)
see thats what im feeling. Fnaf 1 and 4 are the scariest
4’s menu alone makes me feel a terror I can’t explain.
Not fear of the unknown 😂
The fact you have to listen for the breath of the animatronics in fnaf 4 might put it above fnaf 1 in scary factor for me
FNAF 2 had a scarier atmosphere than any of the other ones imo, FNAF 4 was every kid’s nightmare.

The feeling when you start a new fnaf game (fangames too) when you are dropped into the game immediately with little to no information about the mechanics of the gameplay which gives you that fear of the unknown, and now you stuck in one place, you can't run and you have to figure the rest by trial and error, is why i love fnaf so much and really wished they continued that type of gameplay.
Also 8:45 that was a good Freddy impression!
There is a strat for no death in FNAF 1 where you don't touch anything and set your fps to 3 or so, when you don't open cams the entire night the main 3 don't move, and foxy can only attack when your frames are above what I previously mentioned
I think the movie did miss out on the atmosphere what made FNAF 1 scary. As a huge fan of FNAF 1 ambiance and tension felt lacking or neutered in the movie.
Absolutely. The movie was good for lore fans, but I was mainly a fan of the first game for the creepiness and was hoping the movie would reflect that.
@@curtisdupree4430 no it wasn’t
My favorite part of fnaf 1 is Freddy. Because you don’t see him really. The same goes for the weird Freddy things in fnaf 4, it’s that they’re behind you.
When you can see your death coming, it’s far more aware and settling, however, the fact that something is approaching and you’re completely unaware is very unsettling. It’s creeping up on you while your back is turned, and you don’t even realize.
For these facts, I always thought Freddy from FNAF 1 was the best Freddy.
Nightmare Freddy isn't far behind either. I also like the fact that, in the FNAF 4 teasers, he is the only one of the 4 to have a neutral expression, "calm", so to speak and his eyes are off, while the others show more aggression in the teasers. Not to mention Nightmare Freddy's pose, in which he holds his hat as if he was giving good wishes to the player.
I'm a new FNAF player and I'm currently on FNAF 2 on night 3, yesterday I got the idea to try to beat 20/20/20/20 mode because of how easy the base game and night 6 was for me. FNAF 2 never really scared me other than once (The first time Foxy jumpscared me), but even though I was used to FNAF 1 I still got scared by Freddy on the right door jumpscare. It's really horrifying because of how unexpected, stressful, and loud it is.
You will get scared a Lot in fnaf 2. The fear of losing your sanity because of Toy Bonnie is extreme.
Did you beat the 4/20
@@andryusgustavo9148 Withered Bonnie and Chica were the worst, the toy animatronics weren't a pain at all for me.
@@veyronツYup, and fnaf 2 night 6 and fnaf 3 and 4
9:23 it was hinted at in the first game that these were haunted. The breathy noises the animatronics make, the newspaper clippings, the fact they pass by an empty endoskeleton and do nothing, and so on and so forth.
i actually really liked the “child possession” thing in the first game. I was young when this came out, and i had a very vivid imagination, so the idea of being brutally murdered and forever stuck in a suit scared the shit out of me. I think what this game has that the other do not is, as you said, the unknown factor. Dude, we have no idea what “being possessed” means to these animatronics. We don’t know what part is their programming and what part is the kids. If the kids are sentient. If the kids are fully in control. If the kids can think and feel, or if they’re just stuck.
That was what my mind always went to. Again, I was young, so the dead kid thing really got to me. I’d have nightmares not about being the night guard and getting got, but being led into the back room, being stabbed, and waking up in that suit. Yelling for help and nobody coming. Wanting to move, wanting to be free, wanting to go home, and instead-as phone guy aptly put it-being forced to sing stupid songs on stage for twenty years.
mad wicked. Once we know how the souls operate in the suit, they’re not scary anymore.
In fnaf 1 there were posters that constantly changed to the missing children report
Night 3 and up, when they’re next to your doors, they speak in a reversed pitched down mess, so it sounds like they’re trying to talk but they can’t make anything discernible, adding to the scary factor I think.
Am I the only one who thought Freddy literally couldn't get you unless the power went out. Like I didn't know he could just Waltz in
No 😅
So far the only person I know who doesn’t overrate fnaf 4 and actually acknowledges how scary fnaf 1
I mean, 4 Is great and scary too but for different reasons. I'd say it's perfectly rated imo.
fnaf 4 is scarier than fnaf 1 by miles and thats a fact
@@therealmcbong8446not really. it tries too hard to be scary for reasons we now know of. compare that to the fear of the unknown in fnaf 1.these are supposed to be normal robots so seeing them act abnormally and try to kill you sends shivers down your spine
@@Jackie_mage
The game is literally based on nightmares and you’re playing as a child
I fully agree that the first game's story was WAY stronger without the lore. I'm an mgs and comic fan, so I get why people like the convoluted lore, I really do, but "these are unthinking automata that can kill you purely because they think you're not supposed to be there" not only adds to the 'they're just everyone's worst fear of animatronics realized' element of the game (that the series completely lost), but adds to the mystery and powerlessness: you AREN'T supposed to be there; they're just doing what they were made to do. I remember reading an analysis before FNAF2 came out that drew parallels between the toreador march and the security guard's role: not only is he still doing it despite the danger, but the danger isn't malevolent, but purely reactive.
It’s both funny and disappointing that the fnaf movie managed to leave every single box unchecked referring to this video
even fked up the lore
@@kory.j6561 its an adaptation so that shouldnt really matter
Just like the books its unrelated to the games stuff from it may apply like charlie henry etc
But events are far different like williams death@@kory.j6561
9:24 the possession was mentioned in the first game with the newspaper clippings
Fnaf 2 and 3 are Both scary as well, but those two seemed like they had too much structure to them, it felt like essentially things fell into place too much and were expected unless you had a strategy. Fnaf 1 and 4 however both had atmospheric vibes that were both claustrophobic and terrifying. Both gameplays also didn’t have much of a structure and you went off based on the environment acting sporadically around you. Terrifying
not fnaf 2
@jumpjack7141fnaf 2 sucks for that reason
Only 2 of the 11 animatronics are different
Fnaf 1 made every animatronic special
Bonnie could move fast enough to basically teleport
Chica has a whole sound mechanic in the kitchen
Freddy is stalled by the cams up until 4/20 where you need to stall him at 4b
Foxy is stalled by overall cam usage
I defenitley see your point but still nothing slaps harder than that feeling of fear in fnaf 4 when you're at a door about to turn on the flashlight...🥶
I really love this analysis. One comment I keep using when discussing the latest movie is that the movie used lore that was made outside of the initial game which just got added to the sequels for reasons until it just became like modern FNAF.
If FNAF the movie operated more like Phone Booth or that one car movie where the entire film was shot in just one spot then that would've been awesome. The paranoia of the game plus the other stuff would serve to remind the others as to how FNAF was in the first place. The lore still would make an appearance but paranoia is the thing that keeps the film going. I do hope that one day, we get a film of that caliber. One day.
FINALLY! Someone who acknowledges that FNAF 1 takes place in 2003!
It’s so weird how everyone latches to MatPat’s oldest FNAF theory as evidence instead of in game statements…
How does it take place in 2003
Plus wasn’t it canon that fnaf 2 is 20 years prior, and fnaf 2 is in the 80s? That would mean it would take place in the 2000s
@@pendingfortime its basically confirmed at this point it's in the 2000s cause the movie is in the 2000s and the movie is based on fnaf 1 lol
@@dalexgaming5302 The movie is separate from the games, just as the games is separate from the books.
fnaf 6 takes place in 2023, and it's 30 years after fnaf 1, which means 1993
I like to think Five Nights at Freddy's as a stand alone game/story
It's a simple premise too no convoluted lore, too many characters/animatronics, jokey lines, talking from the mascots
Also the animatronics are actually implied to be possessed by the children murdered in the pizzeria
There's some newspaper clippings on the wall in camera 4B
After customers complained about foul oders coming from the animatronics and mucus leaking the place was shut down
(which sounds really disturbing and disgusting)
just imagine your at a birthday party with your friends and while your eating pizza you start smelling something dead coming from the animatronics
And the fact the animatronics weren't even cleaned for 20 YEARS!
The moans coming from Bonnie and Chica is also unsettling
If they were just robots why would they be making human sounds also proves the fact that they are possessed by souls of the five children
i personally think fnaf 1 is the scariest game in the saga because the animatronics are so uncanny, like in fnaf 2 they are a little bit less creepy, but in fnaf 1, goddamn especially bonnie when he takes out his eyes in the backroom and stares at the camera, that scares the living shit outta me
something about fnaf 1 just worked… the way the restaurant was set up, the very little lore we had so it was all up to the imagination, the way the OG animatronics looked and acted, it all felt so real… like this could be happening at the local pizzeria in your hometown, just all the evil that goes on behind closed doors that nobody is aware of
for anyone who is still reading this: i’ll never forget the day i discovered this game… i had just finished watching a new episode of gravity falls (yes the animatronic one) and i had gone onto youtube to watch whoever i could find discuss and breakdown the episode … and the guy i watched, vailskibum, mentioned that it was a similar
premise to a game that had just came out.. some weird game called “fnaf” … so naturally i looked it up and who is the first mf that pops up when i searched for fnaf? markiplier… so i discovered fnaf and markiplier at the exact same time and the rest was
history
To me, another thing in FNAF 1 that makes it so scary are the hallucinations. Seeing things such as the posters in the pizzeria changing into creepy images of the animatronics or when the words “it’s me” flash on screen really adds to the mysterious and uncanny atmosphere of the game.
I always interpreted "they think you're an endoskeleton" as either the phone guy or management (or both) having no idea why the animatronics act this way, and trying to come up with some bullshit explanation to calm down the security guard. There's enough context in game to show they don't think like that, and not just because of the naked endoskeleton in the backroom they don't bother with. They're way too aggressive for what is a "naker skeleton", and seem to specifically be targeting you. They look right into the camera, as if they know you're watching them, and scream in your face before killing you. Foxy's behavior and the Night 5 phone call are way too malicious.
I love that detail about the game. Because truly, we don't know why the animatronics want to kill you. Do they know you're human? Why are they so malicious? We don't know, and I love that we don't know. Later games, especially starting with Sister Location, really lost that feeling with all the sci fi stuff.
This. 100% agree 🤘🏻
I've known fnaf since 2015 and I've played most games, and a few months ago I played fnaf 1 again after so many years, and even though I knew every mechanic and every strategy, i was still scared
Actually the idea that they were dead people was in the game from the start, you hear them walking around with wet goopy sounds and when they are in your office you hear a human like moaning.
twerk jumpscare got me
This was a good video. The only error is that the possesed kids were established in this game. There newspaper articles about kids going missing and golden Freddy himself proves there’s paranormal stuff going on 😂
One of the scariests parts about the game is the ambience when no one is moving...
0:12 was this foreshadowing?
Yes
FNAF 1 definitely doesn't take place in 2003 but good video nonetheless! I think FNAF 1 and FNAF 6 are the scariest.
Yeah FNAF 3 takes place in 2023 and FNAF 1 is 30 years prior, so 1993 is confirmed. The 20-year thing was likely an oversight by Scott.
Tbh, I think fnaf 1 does great on its own without its other games in terms of lore wise.
agree bro it's a masterpiece💯
To me, fnaf 1 is uncany and that repeats until fnaf 4.
When I was a kid, I watched a lot of behind-the-scenes documentaries about how kids amusement and theme parks and attractions operated, so I'd seen a lot of the animatronic characters without their mascot costumes on. So I already knew it was basically a robot wearing a costume, and just suspended my disbelief because they worked so hard to make it fun. I even grew up in Florida, and while we were never wealthy, we were at least fortunate enough to visit Walt Disney World every year or two for about fifteen years or so. I never got tired of it even as I got older. Growing up with it with constant exposure and having the curtain pulled back like that, I never found animatronics scary or unsettling at all.
A killer that does not have bloodlust is honestly a lot more terrifying. You're just a mark to check, a schedule to complete as something greater happens while all you can do is get entangled in it. The unintentional nature of it gives bonus points since you aren't even really meant to die, it just happens because of a massive flaw in programming
finally, a fellow brit who is able to make the haven comparison!
LITERALLY. I spent my childhood in Haven which is why I think FNAF appeals to me so much

No the first five nights at Freddy's did touch on the animatronics being possessed though Easter eggs and golden Freddy and human moaning
wait till you see fnaf real time. now in that game you actually see them move.
I’m playing it for the first time ever and I can confirm. Anyone who says it isn’t scary has played the game too much and got too good at it. I also became a fnaf fan after the movie 😭
once you run out of power you're guaranteed to be jumpscared. Also, that feeble double-click sound on the door makes the jumpscare scarier.
Roni is so cool.
he will be played by chris pratt. he is so cool
I acc think the animatronics being possessed is scarier, but not how the fnaf movie or most ppl imagine it. Most ppl imagine the kids as being fully aware of who they were and they want to kill their killer. However if you look at older fnaf stuff (like the fnaf 1 easter egg posters and fnaf 6 speech) it’s actually more so that the kids’ minds *degraded* as time went on. So it’s kinda sad and terrifying that the fnaf 1 animatronics are possessed by barely conscious minds that have lost so much of their previous selves that now they don’t even know why they’re killing night guards.
This is a good video nice to see you still make them 👍
Is it just me or does five nights at Freddy’s one look the most realistic?
"We had none of the child possession in FNaF 1."
*Missing children incident newspaper easter eggs would like to know your location.*
FNaF 1 design/atmosphere + FNaF 4 mechanics = nightmare fuel. Imagine having to listen closely, running blindly from door to door, but instead of those over-the-top designs it’s just the classic creepy animatronics instead.
"Oh my god we're in faz Freddy's farthole something or other"
Honestly fnaf 1 has the scariest ambience ever
The first game already implies they're possessed, however, what makes it a good first game, is that we're not told that, we just figure it out ourselves, which is all good to have heavier hints about it like we had in fnaf 2 and 3, the modern fnaf story is terrible imo, but i still love the original fnaf and its original lore.
I cannot believe fnaf i still a topic spoken about today.
9:35 all this was always the scary thing about FNAF to me
*Idk bout that 2003 thing, cause that would signify that these models have been a while since 1983, but that can’t possibly be true since that was the time the withered animatronics were built, and if not, it was just Fredbear and spring Bonnie, only having Freddy n’ the gang coming in 1984/1985. We can also speculate it’s 1993 based off the paychecks you get when you finish, I don’t really have to explain this part since Matpat has already explained this in one of his first FNaF 1 theories, and sure, matpat ain’t right bout’ everything, but I don’t thing a paycheck from a real time period that people have experienced before should not be that hard.*
Also I put this in bold letters so it’d grab your attention.
freddy and the gang have been around since 83 im pretty sure, also he explains why the pay check might match that of '93 in the video
don’t be afraid to double check information and lore.. it helps tremendously
I can't agree more!
I don't hate any of the later entrees after FNAF 4, but ever since the whole remnant lore came up, it just wasn't my thing. I never cared for Security Breach either, due the animatronics being way too life like for my liking, and the fact that the story makes absolutely zero sense; for an additional note. But FNAF 1 is great with keeping things vague and I can say that fear of the unknown is more powerful than confirming every inch of story in the series with remnant and AI duplicates. It just works better in my opinion!
i think it's really funny hearing someone who doesn't know the game mechanics to their ins and outs talk about a strategy for the nights, like there's nothing wrong with it of course but for someone that knows that fnaf 1 is absolutely the easiest game in the series(excluding the steel wool games) it's rather cute
It’s definitely really easy, I’m no expert (I just like talking lol) but after you play through once or twice even without knowing everything to its core, it’s a really simple game to run through for sure.
3 and Sister Location are honestly the scariest ones in my opinion because in Fnaf 3, you are avoiding a serial killer who became a zombie and for Sister Location, I. HATE. CLOWNS!
i really want someone to make a retrospective of the fnaf 1 animatronics and their behavior according to the books and stuff. its so interesting
I'd argue Fnaf 2 is the scariest given the fact that the doors are removed entirely, the animatronic designs have gotten even more menacing/creepy and the only thing keeping you alive is a flashlight, a freddy mask and winding up a music box. But Fnaf 1 is a close second in my book
if only fnaf 2 gave people a chance to be immersed in the atmosphere after the first 2 nights then it could be scary
??? it relies soley on jumpscares to be scary no atmosphere at all
Nah fnaf 2 toy animatronics look a little goofy
I'd argue fnaf 2 is more about panic and anxiety rather than fear. The game doesn't really provide an enviorement for you to feel the horror, it's chaotic fast and has no real space to breath
@@xxvii9476by the end of the game it just becomes wine the music box over and over again and that's all you do
Bro, you said that the possessed animatronic stuff wasn’t in the first game. But it was
the line where phone guy was saying “those same songs for 20 years” shouldn’t be taken as hard proof that fnaf 1 take place in 2000+ because
1: this is the first game, scott didn’t have the whole lore planned out yet, as this was probably going to be just a one-off game, but by the second game he mostly did. He probably wouldn’t have been so specific and precise like he is in the later games about dates and lore, but one thing he would probably do simple, is the paycheck being equivalent to 1993 minimum wage, and not do something like “oh it was just labor costs”
2. phone guy could have just said that as a generalization or hyperbole
3. The 4 animatronics in fnaf 1 existed prior to the franchise being called freddy fazbears pizza, it’s most likely they changed it in 1983 to avoid the negative perception of fredbear after the bite of 83.
8:13 you had really bad luck in this Night 2 attempt, for Bonny to stay at your door for this long.
This vid deserves so much more attention

Honestly I agree with this! The atmosphere gets to me, heck when I beat night 4 for the first time I sighed of relief. It was so bad my dad literally told me to take a break lol
Finally someone agrees that Fnaf 1 is the scariest game in the franchise.
this helped me write my academic essay about fnaf thanks
No worries!
I agree, FNAF 1 is the scariest, every game after started to get a bit further removed from the original idea… That’s capitalism I guess. Security Breach was like a joke to me.
Same thank god the next fnaf is help wanted 2 so back to the roots hopefully
I'm surprised you didn't mention the bonnie staring at the camera or the endo and empty heads
Not to mention Scott Cawthon had a nightmare about Bonnie and the first Fnaf Bonnie is still the scariest animatronic in the franchise yet, his jump scare is quite good compared to any other jump scare in the franchise, the only thing as creepy as him are the endo skeletons in Security Breach they are awful too
My cousins played fnaf 1 for the first time and it was fun and terrifying. And when I discovered a part 2 of the game it did not really lived up to the hype in my opinion. New animatronics and characters feels wrong and forgetable. When animatronics actually acted like robots was the very fear factor of the franchise, now with other expansions of the game, the villains feels unrealisic compared to fnaf 1
Some people are now numb to the fear (not me tho)
I think the movie screwed up when they gave the animatronics glowing red eyes and angry eye brows because it made them feel less lifeless and creepy machines and more like a actual character
10:16 exactly!!!
The Help Wanted version of FNAF1 is without a doubt my favorite piece of horror media ever.
Those animatronics scare the shit out of me bro
Yeah I can of understand about chica one time I was playing to the game I forget to check the east hallway and then I flip the camera she jumscared i and I was scared crapless
As I always believed, LESS is MORE. The thought that we initially did not know anything, have no idea whats going on, and have limited things to do in the game, it messes with the players mind more.
the fact that the uncanny valley exists, suggests that at one point in our human evolution, there was a creature that could mimic human faces, and only the humans with this uncanny valley where able to survive it.
Id probably go with a Sagan Hawkes tier list and rate 1 and 2 as S rank while 3 and 4 are slightly below
Wdym we don’t see them moving, what about foxy?
I personally think that FNAF 4 is the scariest, but I can agree that FNAF 1 is one of the scariest by far with FANF 2 & 3
For me FNAF4 is the scariest, with FNAF1 being a very close second

I recognise that Peter sound... _"Uhhh... Lois"_

I myself was born 2004, soooo FNAF 1 takes place 1 year before I was born. We don't have Animatronic Restaurants here in Ireland, so I never had the experience, but it's somehow still Nostalgic

That's why FNAF 1 is the best in my opinion, FNAF 1 and 2 are the best ones 1-4 was definitely the Golden age, in the modern time, it's still cool and I do like it.
It's just... Watered-down the scare factor

Well tell me something really graphic without literally doing so... Playdough kitchen... Yeah, that is what it would be like to be stuffed into a Freddy Fazbear suit I'd say
Bro I’m. New to the series because of the movie and now I’m absolutely terrified now I mean I’ve still played it but I still get scared (only made it until 37 power)
I think my only issue with Fnaf 1 is how repetitive it can get. Once you have the technique down it is pretty straight forward with very little possibility for interesting or unforseen scenarios to happen. I wish there was a version of the first game with ai similar to Alien: Isolation
1:37, granted, but 20 years could be a figure of speech, like how we refer to the vietnam war being fifty, even if it wasn't *exactly* that long ago. It could be set any time from late ninties to mid 2000s.
