I just love the building absurdity of this scene. First, Kent immediately jumps to the conclusion of alien invaders. Second, that they are here to conquer us. Third, that we will not be able to resist. Fourth, he immediately sells out all of humanity. And fifth, they already have art made up to go along with the piece.
Sixth, he becomes so immediately committed to his theoretical insect overlords that he's disappointed when it turns out Earth isn't going to be invaded by them

0:35 Harry shearer has an audible lip smack in his transition. I believe this audio is all one take uncut, thats why its so good, it has the proper pauses and nuance to create perfect comedy beats.
