I wanna upgrade my motion boom to this speaker it looks to be a good upgrade!
I got 2 Motion booms and I plan on buying the Boom 2 with the pre order discount. Than I'll l ack Soundcore for another Boom 2 to see which is the overall better pair as the old pair is still great value. I am so happy they put some good thoughts behind the design this time around.
I have more and less costly speakers, but the original motion boom has been my favorite. Very much considering this one. Loved this review, your yard, and offset smoker.

About a year ago I contacted soundcore and described this speaker layout to them. Finally came to fruition. There’s also a Boom2 SE that is 30 watt’s around the corner.

I got the boom 2 se version which is 30w vs 80 and it still sounds amazing! Makes me want to get the 80w version considering it should be even better and rn its the same price point since soundcloud is having a sale on these for $99
I do like the better highs on that boom 2. But man, I have this pool float that the motion boom fits in perfectly and it's awesome for the pool or ocean....
Dude I just throw my boom 2 inside the pool, no float needed, it floats by itself ❤

But yeah it is real nice that the Boom 2 floats speakers up, that's pretty rare.
I own two motion booms and they sound good imo. I listened for hours of the differences between the boom 2 and the booms. I own 2 boom 2s and 2 boom pluses two. It is pretty bad ass having two boom 2 and two pluses hooked up through party cast though. Imo they went with a warmer sound on the boom 2 and i tried forever to try to get it to sound as crisp as some of the beats and vocals that the boom OG can produce. sound core CLAIMS that the boom 2 goes louder but id say the boom goes maybe 10 percent louder, granted its not as much bass its still very good. The boom 2 does indeed put out more bass if you are next to it close and if you put it high on a shelf by a wall and a ceiling or a bathroom wall it produces a great sound and the lights are cool. the plus as a pair will blow the boom 2 away outside. Id describe the plus as being good but really good outside as a pair the farther away you are. In the end ill keep both boom 2s, both pluses and yes ill keep the OG booms too because on some songs like edm and high vocal music its just so clear with my settings of course. I also use my own extra eq where i can add more eq and more bass but turn the settings down as i increase volume. That really makes the boom OG come alive close to what the boom 2 is. Id say for rock music the boom 2 excels. Can anyone tell me why the boom sounds brighter and crisper and goes louder than the boom 2? Is it because the boom 2 uses two SILK dome tweeters and one race track driver and the boom uses two Titanium drivers? Im trying to understand this. Or maybe its because of the crossover they chose with the boom 2? I also want to add that at least 40 to 50 percent volume the boom 2 is a fantastic sounding speaker with depth. Id even say up close it has more bass than the plus.
So this has TWS AND Partycast options? I wonder if you could pair these with a motion boom+ in party cast?
Yes you can pair 2 of the same speaker in party and tws and paircto other partycast 2.0 speakers efficiently

motion boom plus is louder.. battery last at least the double
Motion Boom sounds a bit more controlled on all frequencies. Boom 2 has more bass but it seems to be getting in the way of clarity.
I was wondering, (although this may not be their main purpose for most), how well these speakers perform when connected to a projector to watch a movie? will the Boom 2 perform better than the Motion X600, or will the experience of a movie be better with a the x600? Will any of these perform as well as a cheap soundbar, or perhaps better?

It won’t sound the same. The size of the speaker cabinet are not the same. Look up how speakers work and you’ll stop getting excited for each a dm every speaker release. You need big speakers for better sound small speakers have a ceiling they can not break.

@@paladinul that’s the idea. Take that design and size it up. It works well in that direction. Also bigger speaker use less power to make the same volume of smaller speakers. Small speakers have a lot of limitations. Only benefit is portability. It’ll also be more portable or better sound. So choose wisely.

@@shoerice5083 I’ve been buying Bluetooth speakers for over a decade. I’ve looked up how speakers work. A smaller speaker made by the same company won’t beat its bigger speaker. That’s how speakers work. It’s physics unless Soundcore can manipulate time and space they can’t make their smaller speakers sound louder or have deeper bass than their larger speakers. You do not know how speakers work if you think a speaker half the size made by the same company for less money would beat their more expensive bigger speaker.
New stuff how does it sound if ya crank it to 100 percent does it distort or no?
The bass sounds better and lower on the motion boom. May be able to EQ that out by I'll have to find that out before I buy.

ofc boom 2 boom 2 has deeper bass then the motion boom plus the only caveat though is the motion boom plus more louder

I’m just wondering why you guys call subwoofers capacitive radiators just a question I’m just being dead serious because to me that always been subwoofers. The ones that do the base and car systems and clubs. They always been called subwoofers I have never caught her anybody call a subwoofer a capacitive radiator not even people that know about Building systems from scratch. Have I ever heard my friends that own shops where all they do set up systems for cars and trucks they have never called a subwoofer a compatible radiator. I swore a radiator was in your car but keeps your car from overheating never heard a subway for being called a capacitive radiator, so I’m just wondering why people on RUclips called that I don’t call it that it what it is a subwoofer
Radiator functions as a blend of ported & sealed enclosure.
You'll see kicker subwoofers implement passive radiators in their slim subwoofer enclosures.
It's passive radiators and they are separate from the subwoofer. The boom 2 has a subwoofer in the middle, the passive radiators are the two caps on the sides of the speaker that light up. They move since it's a sealed design and push air by flexing in and out. The regular motion boom doesn't have a subwoofer. It uses 2 full range drivers and has passive radiators on the side caps as well that help with the bass.
