Reminds me when I tried to approach a tuxedo cat wandering near my house. She would never wanted to be pet, she'd just run away despite coming to my house often. Until one day, I was petting an orange cat in front of a mini store I always go to. This same tuxedo cat saw me petting the orange cat, clawed and shooed him away, and _only then_ she wants some pets. She must've been _really_ jealous seeing that orange cat 😂. I haven't been in my house regularly for 3 years now. I've never seen her again. She was old, so she would've probably died now. I kinda miss her.
Aww, makes me miss my stray that I yoinked up to my flat after coming home from work one night. The next day almost every neighbor came up to me, shaking my hand and thanking me for giving The Old Man some shelter (which was the name I gave him since he scoffed and almost shook his head at people like a cranky geezer). He was nothing but a cosy, social and a very grateful geezer. RIP Gubben.

I actually met a dog with a similar personality! XD I walked into a facility and there was a large garage attached to it. There was a dog in there and he immediately came over to me, barking away. I knew he wasn’t being aggressive and that he was just warning me that I better not try anything. So I showed him I was friendly by smiling, speaking happily and calmly, while reaching out my hand to him. He smelled my hand and decided I was safe, but it was like he was still in guarding mode. He was sitting at my side, leaning against my leg for pets, but still growling. It was too funny.
It’s actually putting its scent on her, all of its actions after realizing who she is are centered around marking her so that she’ll be safe. It’s cute.
Don't know if you know this, but this is in Istanbul. There the people do really love cats and feed them and have domesticated ones go on the streets cuz it's kinda safe! Kedi is a great documentary, if you want to know more about this
Emotions overflowing. A cat meowing when she sees a human she loves after a while is less complaining and way more her expressing so much happiness and joy. People tend to think that loud meows are complains, but cats rarely complain like that.
I've had my cat hospitalized recently and can confirm when we went visit him he would meow this loud from pure happiness, was also purring and asking for cuddles

I am the opposite. We have a shy cat and a social cat. I can tell that, whenever the shy cat meows, it is behavior she learned from the social cat. I find it very adorable that she acts so shy all the time. Also makes me feel special that she feels excited enough to meow at me when she wants pets despite being so shy.

I just left my house for the first time in years to house-sitting. I was gone a week and missed my two wild cats. The day I got back and even now they were the same. It made me feel happy.
I feel bad for this cat because it seems like she needs to belong, but at the same time I have some experience with feral cat colonies and they do have a way of belonging together and if you try to take them somewhere else it may not work and they get separated or leave. I read the description and I feel she, the lady, sacrifices so much to try to help. I will give some as soon as I can and hope you fully recover from the illness. Thank you for your kindness and devotion to these little ones.
Very true that’s why we spayed and neutered ours and let them stay in our back yard. We also have an opening under our house for them to sleep if it gets too cold I made a heater and light there but they jsut bring dead animals 😅 so I blocked them from bringing them in our house but they can still sleep near the heater

When I try to adopt feral kitties, I love when two things happen: 1) they turn their back to me and stand there, as they trust me enough not to keep their eyes on me at all times. 2) when they step on my feet with their soft lovable paws...it's so cute. You have a great bond with her!
My cat is 7 months old and lived with only me and slept on my face every night for the first 4 months after he could go home and now he lives with my brother while I’m at school and doesn’t even seem to care when I visit 😭 I’m glad he’s happy but I want the excited meows to see me too 😢

When I try to adopt feral kitties, I love when two things happen:
1) they turn their back to me and stand there, as they trust me enough not to keep their eyes on me at all times.
2) when they step on my feet with their soft lovable paws...it's so cute.

My cat is 7 months old and lived with only me and slept on my face every night for the first 4 months after he could go home and now he lives with my brother while I’m at school and doesn’t even seem to care when I visit 😭 I’m glad he’s happy but I want the excited meows to see me too 😢
