Wondering if there is any AI built-in to the motion sensors for pet detection...

Does the base unit control and report all the sensors or does it just feed info to and from a remote site that you have no control over?
Also is there any local keypad ‘sensor’ that you can install and control the system without a smartphone?
Lastly can the system be controlled with a simple web interface rather than a dedicated app?

Hi Marcel, good questions and happy to help here.
Yes, the base unit controls and monitors all sensors connected to your system and you can view a live status of each device via the app.
Yes, there is a keypad that allows you to control the system (goabode.com/security-devices/accessories/keypad-2)
And yes, we offer a web application in addition to mobile. Let me know if I can help with anything else!

      @@abode4218 Thanks.
What I want to know re the base unit though is does it feed all the sensor updates etc. to a remote ( i.e. the OEM) site or does the base unit ‘talk’ directly to the user through its own IP address.
I’m trying to find a security system than doesn’t talk to anyone other than myself when I want it to. Most out there that I can find, all feed the data to the OEM’s central system and all queries by the end user are routed through there.
I just found on your website that your security cameras only seem to interface with the Abode Cloud. This is disappointing and kind of rules your system out for me.
My concern isn't that the videos are in a cloud somewhere, my concern is the files, and more importantly the long term viability of any investment in hardware, are at risk should your firm ever go under or decides to start charging monthly fees. I need a system that I control fully and completely, forever.

They sponsored the video so we could demonstrate it, but Chris had been running the system personally for 4 years and loved it. So we promoted something we had personal experience with and were confident recommending. -Rusty
