If you are stay only in the transit area, yiu dont need a Visa or submit the sg arrival card. You can transfer between terminals within the transit areas in your 12 hrs layover. But once you need to collect your checked luggage, then you need to clear immigration so you have to apply for Visa and submit sg arrival card. So please check with your airline whether you need to collect your checked luggage. To prepare whether you need to apply for a Visa or not.

Hi, if your family dont intent to enter Singapore, you can just leave it as it is, and let it expire. But if you intend to enter the next day, you can enter your account to either adjust the date or create another entry information.
