Grow Your Own: Advocating for Your Community

On Thursday, January 26, 2023, PDK International was joined by featured speaker, Raven DeRamus-Byers, GYO Coordinator from New America, to examine key areas in advocacy that include planning, methodology, practical application, and a look at the political landscape. The Educator Toolkit was developed by New America and includes the latest collection of research, policy, and practice resources to promote the creation and implementation of high-impact GYO programs in communities across the nation.
PDK International provided research and advocacy to support the next generation of educators who reflect the demographics of the communities they serve. Through Educators Rising we offer schools the opportunity to foster interest in the profession while providing comprehensive programming that is flexible, interactive, and prepares a stronger teacher workforce of highly skilled students.
