I'm not sure if "eat ice" is intended as a joke in the context of the dentist prompt. My father is a dentist and explained to me that chewing ice introduces microfractures into the enamel, leading to potential damage over time. Given NL's subtle injection of real facts every now and then, I suspect this prompt qualifies for Snap2Reality.

Eating ice is definitely not very good for the teeth, yet i can hardly believe that it was meant as deliberately unflashy truthful answer. Anti-jokes work sometimes, but they are usually more defined, massaged and subsequently discussed. Answers like that can also happen when someone is pressed by the timer, or is already mentally drained by multiple previous Quip rounds. None of those circumstances seem to be in play - there was ample time, and the prompt in question was during game 1 of the hour. Child-level jokes also happen sometimes, but again, usually they are telegraphed during either the submission or reading phase. It's hard to pinpoint the reason this failed answer came into existence because they talked banter over it. I still believe it was a deliberate sound-alliteration (what is it called? ASS and ICE are not homonyms, what is the proper term, if there even is one?) meant to remind chat of the rising global (?) "EAT ASS" meme, and multiple individuals in chat seem to have got it.
