- The Arabs are rebelling against the Ottoman Empire, who has been their colonizer for over four hundred years. Small bands of Bedouin tribes aim to overthrow the Ottomans, and a British officer, T. E. Lawrence, is working with them. One of them is Zara Ghufran, a female rebel.
Zara finds a derailed Ottoman train being guarded by Ottoman soldiers, which contains an interesting cargo. Zara infiltrates the area in order to get inside a train car, killing or evading enemies on the way. Zara gets inside and finds the cargo, a code book that consists of cryptic language. However, reinforcements arrived fast, forcing Zara to surrender.
The reinforcements are led by Tilkici, an Ottoman general. Lawrence's rebels arrive to kill all but Tilkici, with Lawrence revealing himself. Upon asking who Zara is, she punches him, ranting about the freedom. Tilkici mocks Zara and the rebels about the freedom they desire, which consists of an armored train, the Canavar, which is aimed at killing allies, families, and destroying homes. The freedom is death. Hearing this, Zara punches him and slashes his face and ear. Lawrence interrupts, telling Zara to think about sparing Tilkici.
Zara interrogates Tilkici on how to stop the train. Tilkici reveals that the train can be talked to by using cryptic language, like the one in the book. The rebels cheer on, Tilkici proclaims that the Arabs will lose their lands from the world. Lawrence gets inside the train car to interrogate Tilkici.

lol it's funny how they paint the Arabs as the oppressed (I'm an Arab myself, both my parents grew up in Jordan) when we all clearly know, including Arabs themselves like myself, that the Ottomans were on the better end of the spectrum, I literally only support the Ottomans in the campaign.

I love how the other stories tried to paint the factions of WW1 in a neutral sense, emphasizing they weren't really evil but more or less just pitted against eachother in circumstances beyond their control, and then Tilkici is like the most stereotypical war movie villain imaginable. Not complaining because it made him a memorable character in the campaign for me (along with McCanus and Blackburn), but still, it's funny to me.
Edit: Also at 5:24 is probably one of the most impressive ways to introduce a behemoth in this game. Almost made it feel alive
They did kill 500 -1M armenians during WW1 so the developers probably though they were the WW1 equivalent to the nazi's and thus made them completely evil

@@halaldunya918 It depends on what you mean with Ottomans at that time, these were turbulent times in the Ottoman empire itself aswell, the Sultan, the military and nationalistic movements like the young turks were all in a power struggle over the better reform in a dying empire. The genocidal acts that were commited around WWI was thanks to a nationalistic coup by delusional leaders. Enver Pasha and his colleagues, with the Pan-Turkic idealogoy, were responsible for many horrendous acts in their short period of forced rule, but were quickly overthrown by people and leaders with friendlier and more effective ideologies.

Ottomans should have developed an industrial back bone like Britain, and reorganized it's government and legislation to tackle corruption associated with the Sultan. Less absolute control from one person, and more of a republic with a good Senate. Investing more into science and technology and engineering , to keep up with Europe. At least Ataturk tried to get this done, before the Ottoman Empire completely died. Turkey can still carry the legacy forward. And fix these past mistakes.

Nah it all went south far before that. If Sultan Abdul Hamid II wasn’t thrown from the throne the ottoman empire would still be thriving. But he got betrayed by so many people that at one point he couldn’t fight the lies that spread all over the country anymore. The Turkish citizens wanted him to step off of the throne. His military was so strong that he could’ve stopped all the protest with violence but he didn’t want any of his own people to even get a scratch so he stepped off peacefully. The people who betrayed him later on realized that by doing so they destroyed the ottoman empire because Mehmed Vahdetin was one of the dumbest most power craving people in the world. They didn’t even think twice when replacing Sultan Abdul Hamid with him but they regretted every single day after

How were they oppressors? Look at the history. The Ottomans mercilessly slaughtered the Armenian people during this time, giving rise to the word “genocide”. The Ottoman Empire had serious issues with corruption and internal rot, in addition to its oppress tendencies. All of which eventually led to its undoing.

This entire rebellion ruined everything caused bloodshed amongst fellow muslims allowed the european powers to colonise the middle east palestine was colonised and became isreal all of these problems from 1 rebellion.

India was getting invaded by Arabs , Iranians, Central Asian Turks, Mongols who later became the Mughals, way earlier. The Brits killed the Mughal empire, and freed India. Only controlling it for a few hundred years. And they're gone now and India is a independent state. Literally the best possible outcome. Brits did cause some problems, like the Bengal famine though. But again they're out of India now.

From Japan to Britain, from India to the Siberia, across all of Asia and Europe different groups would fight against each other and take each other’s territory, resources, and people. Sometimes they were very successful at it, other times they failed miserably.
Empires expanded and collapsed over and over. Which is why it is silly as hell to get mad about it, because literally everyone did it at one point in history. We all are colonizers and we all have been colonized.
