What is a Fairy Ring - Why do mushrooms grow in a circle?

- Have you ever been walking through a lawn or a forest and saw mushrooms growing in a circle? That is what is called a fairy ring. Over the centuries and around the world there has been many explanations as to what causes a fairy ring, but are they true?
In this video we look at the old folk tales as well as the science to discover what is really behind a fairy ring and what causes it.

I have had several in my old yard. It's the Fae. :)
In Polish folklore we call them "devils rings", they used to be connected with witches activities and their sabbaths.
Mt St Helen's is a good spot to find fairy rings
