Delta was really fascinating to me. I think her biggest fear as a plus-size queen was looking like a big OTT unattractive mess or appearing weak, unpolished and out of her depth, she saw these things in Mimi and Stacy which really triggered her animosity. So she attacked them (behind their backs) as a way to attack those qualities in herself. But now with both of them gone, there was no-one else to attack but herself and she bombed like hell.
I like her now, but yikes she had some really bitter moments on the show. Even saying at the beginning of this episode that she doesn't know why Stacy was here at all, sticking the knife in yet again. But if you imagine Delta saying all her comments about Mimi and Stacy about herself then it makes it quite intriguing.
You guys do know that Yara Sofia did not know who Rita Rudner was right 😂 😂 😂??? She revealed in an interview that she didn't want to seem clueless about the guest judges so she hyped up her reaction to the announcement 😂 😂 😂

I agree with you about Shangela, I was SO over her this season and I didn't find her comedy routine funny at all. People are trying to tell you it's funny like it's a fact, lol.
I really did like Shangela's comedy routine, actually. She's not usually my cup of tea this season, but I'll give credit where credit is due in my eyes.
Yeah, Shangela’s routine was one of my favourite comedy routines on the show ever, but I think A&A dislike her too much at this stage to find her funny, because a lot of comedy is about relating to people.
hoenestly, i just made a video with Shangela wher ewe take about AS3 and other stuff (see my channel pls) and she is super cool, has improved her drag so much and so fishy ! love her
They are so biased against her that I am over watching these reviews, TBH... if they clued in for a hot minute that this was, what, 6 or 7 years ago, then they might be a little more open minded, especially if they were actually fans of the show and kept up with their careers. Shangela is KILLING it now and is producing the Werk the World tour for the franchise... so SUCK IT to you too, A&A... lord... I'm done
I did think she was the funniest but she had the tightest routine like it was there not like Delta's or Manila's that just didn't land

I don't know you guys, I think the stand-up comedy challenge is to me what the makeover challenge is to Avaryl. I'm just never happy with the way it goes, it's always at least moderately uncomfortable, and it's always the most cringey bombs, like your Laganjas and Alexis Michelles, that I end up remembering. (Although if the rumors are true about All Stars 3, I hope there is a solo standup challenge because Trixie? Is going to own the fuck out of that.)

It's a challenge that you really need a Bianca for it to work. Everyone this season relied on some visual gag for their joke and it fell flat
Agreed. I mean even the best of s3's comedy challenge were just ok. No one came close to Bianca, Coco, Trinity, Alaska, or Jinkx. Shangela had the best overall routine, Yara was funny in a "what the heck?" But not because her routine/jokes landed, Raja got in a couple of good jabs but was just ok otherwise. Alexis was pretty forgettable, as was Carmen (who was smart/lucky enough to get the bar low for herself in the rehearsal so that her routine seemed better in comparison.) Manila, like Pandora, seems to confuse silly/goofy with funny, and Delta just went too dark for her routine.
Agreed! Although, I feel like hosting or comedy is in every queen's wheelhouse or it should be, but it seems some can't deliver when unnaturally pressured? You know all these queens can work a crowd, but I think they way overthink it in these challenges.
See, Carmen just didn't actually make any jokes. There were no punchlines. She would say, "Guys always want to sleep with a fat girl," and I was like, "because........?" But the punchline never came.
gottahaveshades she said she wanted to be a fat girl, so she could get pregnant and not even know it lol. That was punchline.

Also Shangela has improved so much! I didn't love her in this season, but I saw her at NYC Dragcon and oh my god she is beautiful and hilarious. Made me really excited for AS3.

Y'all they are allowed to like Delta and not like Shangela. I felt like Shangela won because she had the best delivery, but I remember not laughing at it. And people have been calling Shangela out for doing a pimp/ho character after making such a point to call Manila out for being offensive and stereotypical for years. These two are hardly the first.
That all said, they are looking at Delta through some rose colored glasses. I never hated her as much as the general public did, but she did have a lot to say about people she wasn't doing as well as.
Rb J sure, Delta is a shady bitch and re-watching this I can see her insecurities out there as loud and proud as they can be. I remember not living for her during the show, but keeping up with her after and loving her persona as its evolved. Maybe that's why they rate her a bit differently than they would have as it aired?
I get that y'all don't like shangela (and after being reminded of some of the shit she did in that season I agree) but her stand up was hilarious and I vividly remember laughing my ass off when I first saw it
ares Not everyone finds the same things funny and comedy also relies on the person's personality. If you find someone's personality grading it's going to be harder to laugh at them

tbh Yara's reads made me laugh more than any other because they were so ridiculously stupid and incoherent lol
What's interesting about Delta is that she read the girls for "reaching for low hanging fruit" in regards to the fat jokes made about her during the library segment but fell on that very sword during her standup routine. Hmmm.....
You guys are more real with your reviews, than Shangela could've ever aspired to be on season 3.

Hate me if you must, but I don't feel Yara was robbed. Her routine was funny in a "what the heck am I seeing" kind of way, but afterwards can you name one joke she said?
Shangela had the most realized concept/persona up there and while I wasn't laughing all that much/hard at her routine, you could tell she was in her element and that was enough to put her over the top.
But with that said, like S5's Coco; one strong week doesn't justify a season long run of mouthing off and sh!t stirring so I get the whole "she did good but I still hate her" mindset.

She absolutely killed this challenge. I hated the heathers when i watched this when it aired. Still not a huge fan of those four, TBO. Regardless of liking Shangela or not.
What they cobbled together of her routine was really funny (although uncensoring it took away a lot of it's potency) but I agree with them that her extra material was really bad.

This is my favourite episode of Season 3, but my least favourite review of the season so far. Shangela won because her set was so well constructed and the audience were absolutely loving it. Although I do think that Yara was hysterical. It was also nice that Alexis and Yara were so pleased when Shangela got a good makeup review.
I do like Shangela more then the Moviebitches but I also see her bad points. They seem to have a blind spot with Delta who I think is nasty on this season, and fails at most challenges, but they hardly ever criticize her. Unfortunately, Raven and Delta lost their nominations, but there's always next year.

nasty and bitter on this season. I don’t have any problem with them not liking someone, but Im going to pull my support when its the only thing you talk about each episode. It just makes watching this uncomfortable. I hope the next episode is not so biased and nasty on the reviewers end.

I love your videos but there's some real bias against Shangelas performances here, she completely killed this episode and her comedy routine was so good! You can dislike someone but still appreciate their talent

Yeah I think the biasness is affecting judgment a bit. Shangela had a memorable character, looked like a pro, the audience were totally into it and she had a catchphrase that you just know people were walking out of there saying "Hey Laquifa. I say what?" That'll be the lasting memory of the night.
I personally thought shangela was very funny this episode. I do agree she is absolutely insufferable this season but this is one of my favorite episodes with her.
Honestly guys, I get that you don't like Shangela, but you can't honestly say that she didn't own this week. She was really the only one who nailed the reading challenge, her picking of the order was evil genius, and her stand up was far and away the best. Yeah, she's annoying, but she always backs it up with performance skills. I wish that you would just give credit where credit is due and stop trying to cover up for Delta every time she acts like a total bitch. I mean, she continued to insult Stacy this week even though she already went home. You can like whoever you want to like, but at least be fair about your criticisms. Still love you both, and I agree that if I have to hear Shangela talk about "keepin' it real" one more time, I might jump out of my dorm room, but just make sure that you're keeping it real as well.

ugh, I don't know if it's because I'm in that minority that was really shafted by the whole heathers deal, but I thought Shangella's Laquifa was hillarious hahahaha. I thought she deserved the win and love how she actually played the game and selected the order strategically. Although yeah, she was such an asshole this season.

True, tbh I don't know why most of the Americans dislike Shangela, here in Latin America and over seas we thinks she's funny, they're just trying to be Heathers so much
mmm, it is their own personal opition. Obviously it will be influenced based on if they like a queen or not. And they expressed multiple times that they are DONE with shangela being on Season 3. You can agree or disagree.
Even with their critiques they are making valid points. Using F.bombs, being ingenuine (as being stand-up commedy as ghetto black woman is acceptable however doing asian bit is racist?? )

To be honest, nobody really did great at that reading challenge, but she was certainly the best in both challenge and stand-up.
No I agree Nathan, a lot of the reading was good but these two have SUCH a bias and negative opinion, hardly any understanding of a wider spectrum of comedy that I’m distracted by their commentary

Can I ask HOW Shangela sent Delta home? She was so big on "I attack with strategy", but all she did was put delta last and her routine would have been bad regardless of where she was in the lineup. I could see if Shangela had gone over and given her those jokes or told her to go dark/sad, but all she did was put her last...I just feel like shangela was trying to take credit for Delta's self sabotage.
