How cute! I love how this turned out. And hey, sharing all gives us encouragement, please never edit for perfection. We are here learning and enjoying the process. Thank you for sharing 💕
FYI, you could also use a layer of UV Resin instead of glue - it will stick to it after being cured. This also works with foils and foil flakes. This is spectacularly gorgeous!
Do you like using “Design Space & Cricut” often, while creating ideas for resin projects. My Cricut still gives me anxiety 😦…. I love How you multi-layered..
Sorry to hear that, it’s s great machine once you get used to it. I only recently had the idea to use Cricut things for resin ideas, I can’t wait to try others. You could also try die cutting designs for resin if you don’t like using the Cricut? If that helps. Some myla/stencil sheets can be hand cut too ✨
This turned out beautiful! Layering for a 3d look is one of my favorite things. I've been doing it on a much smaller scale with uv resin and painting galaxies. :) You did just solve a problem I was having tho. I didn't consider a sticky glue for straight up mica painting. Bless your commenter who recommended it and thanks for sharing that. :)
Yes their comment was so helpful! I really appreciate artists and crafters who share their tips and advice, such an amazing community. And galaxy paintings in resin look so stunning, even more impressive on a smaller scale, do you have any of your work online? I’d love to see ✨
@@looseskullsscrafts I wish I did. I've only shared the little half dome galaxy pendants with family and friends to date. I've kinda been neglectful of my IG since social media gets tiring! :) Some were spiral, some were bar galaxies. It's honestly a lot of fun to play with. :)
I LOVE. THE Olive color in that set… I like to mix it in the other colors… just a hint… it’s amazing what effects you get from it…. This was a beautiful project…
I'm sure there will be someone on here who can advise you on the tech. That must be really annoying. I love this layered look, I've been doing it with decals, but I haven't layered stencils yet. Your work is gorgeous and it's great that you mentioned the viewer who suggested you use tacky glue ❤ Thank you for sharing your lovely technique x
Nice - I had originally thought to do it with vinyls too, I have a textured copper roll that I think would look amazing in resin. Do you post yours anywhere? And thank you! I hope you get to try it with stencils sometime ✨
What a very nice piece! Well done! Subscribed ^^ Just a tip, if you want to get rid of that glare from lights when filming, see if you can attach a polarizing filter to your camera, it removes those reflections and would showcase your creations so much better!
@@looseskullsscrafts There are these lenses made for iPhone, that you clip on to the phone, and there are Polarizer Filters there. So you can probably find one, just maybe dont buy the cheapest one (there will be a big difference in how well they remove glare, and the cheapest ones might actually distort your picture). If you work in a very light setting, you might also see if a ND (neutralizing) lens is a good choice for you, it sort of lessens the very bright spots and keeps the footage more balanced. If you find a lens that combines those two, that might be the best. A ND/CPL lens. Good luck!
In regards to the missing recordings, my iphone and mac seem to have a hate relationship suddenly, I suspect one of the recent updates might have something to do with it, but it seems that transfering files via USB or airdrop (or even though Dropbox) is hit and miss; some files will transfer without a problem, and others just won't. At all. And they are not big files. And some of these file (when I eventually get the lucky ones transferred) appeared corrupted (see the jerky shot in the video) and I'm not sure why. I only have my iphone to record with so I can't use anything else. If anyone has any suggestions or have encountered this themselves, please let me know.
The product states that it is 6 mil, which is perfect for simple cuts, but I have used it to cut intricate patterns to blend ink through and I find it far too flimsy for that. I’d definitely get a thicker mylar next time.
Yep I. Blind… I skipped right over the tools lol… I was too interested in going to your Dropbox to look at the way you designed your stencils… I use photoshop… OLD SCHOOL photoshop lol… the kind where you have to have a cd / dvd drive to install it lol….
Well shoot…. The shop that has it is taking a break…. But I gots me an idea…. I have a coastermold that is faceted like that… I can make one of them and then I can get some of my old marbles and glue them on to the bottom… then I can make a mold of my own using silicone :). Problem solved lol….
Great work! I've got some resin moulds that I've been wanting to gift to someone (I thought they would work with PoP or clay but they didn't, and I don't want to use resin). One is a wheel of the year, one a big triquetra, and one a smaller pentagram. Would you like me to send them to you (for free)? No catch - I just would like them to go to someone who can use them 💜
That's really kind of you, I would love them and I'd be happy to page for postage at least? : ) My email is jarofloosescrews@gmail.com if you wanna continue over email. Thank you!

It was a real good tip, I'm very grateful the commenter suggested it, worked so well.

Hey thank you very much. There’s a link in the description to where I bought the mould on Etsy 👍
I wonder if instead of glue, you tried maybe an embossing ink? Less dry time, less risk of applying too thick...?
That’s an idea, may have to try that - thanks!
