I disagree with you on selecting the good mids this year like Draper, smith etc because we have too many Jye and Durham are both still developing and really good right now. They will get no value and be sidelined unfairly like tsatas and Hobbs. We should only look at key def, forward or kako. Hoping for Shanahan and Kako but trainor also isn’t a back option considering we need a lavarde replqcement
I reckon Shanahan is the right pick for our 2nd pick I reckon he’s been undervalued due to his height he’s a bit undersized, but his good below his knees and reads the ball very well also had a great footy IQ sometimes the right pick isn’t always the obvious one couldn’t be staring the more in the face Pick 8 is good unless Armstrong is there I think he’s the best Fwd in this draft if he’s not and they can somehow get Gold Coast picks 13 and 20 now that’d be something.
I’m hoping Essendon get in front of that pick 8 incase a bid comes for Kako I’d trade out of next year‘s draft and pay overs to do it Fk all in next years draft anyways getting 2 in the top 10 now will be great for them I’m pretty sure dons future 1st and pick whatever they get for Shiel probably a 2nd given his contract or their current 2nd whichever is better would satisfy the crows or suns!

I think the bid for Kako comes later into the first round, we will be able to get a player in before him.

Agreed, I think we delist Setterfield, trade Shiel or both, and that way we can develop a young midfielder instead.
