Red Dead Redemption on Yuzu - Steam Deck Guide

- This video has been created for educational purposes. You can get Red Dead Redemption on Nintendo Switch or PS4 from official device's store (digital) and from your local store.
Guide RDR Yuzu:
1. To avoid any texture issues, you must run the game with OpenGL.
2. Game has been launched on Steam Deck, with "economy" mode (limiting CPU and GPU usage). You can disable all limits. Game would run better but device will reach temperatures around 78-82 degrees of Celsius. Also battery will drain faster.
3. Running emulator in Handheld mode is strongly recommended.
4. Resolution rendering was set to 0.75. That may help to reduce FPS drops. Especially in towns. AMD FidelityFX is strongly recommended.
5. Stutters and freezes are common when you shoot. May be less frequent if you disable CPU limiting.
6. IN CASE OF TITTLEKEY ERROR - remember to download latest Keys for your emulator.
Rockstar’s lazy arse didn’t port it to PC so this will be our only option for now

@@liligamer5894that is a really good desktop, I have gtx 1050, and get unstable 20fps 480p, so this will be a huge improvement

My game is stuck on launching screen?
Make sure you have latest Firmware and Keys for your emulator. You may also try to run game on Vulkan (after update it works with less glitches than before).
I got it past the launch screen now it’s stuck on a black screen 😂
In this case, check your graphics settings again. You may delete all OpenGL and Vulkan cache (right click on Red Dead). Restarting of Yuzu also could help in such cases.

Yes, you just need to limit game speed to 100% in Yuzu settings. Also you should run it in Experimental 720/810p resolution. With AMD FSR. You should also cap fps limit to 30 in your Steam Deck power options.
On ryujinx I'm getting unknown file and won't show up on Yuzu. I've used both platforms many times before, do you know a fix for this?
You should download latest Keys for your emulator. So it contains latest tittle keys. Firmware additionally.
super, wreszcie ogram RDR 1 i to na SD :D czyli SD utrzymuje mniej więcej stabilne 30 klatek?
Zdarzają się spadki FPS w miastach oraz podczas strzelania.
@@trzeciaperspektywa8073 ale ogólnie da się grać? Jest szansa że wraz z aktualizacjami coś się poprawi czy na więcej nie ma co liczyć? Planuje też zainstalować na laptopie Asus g14 i tam raczej z 30fps problemu nie będzie ale moc grać w rdr 1 mobilnie to super sprawa
Z czasem będą aktualizować Yuzu więc z pewnością wydajność ulegnie poprawie (tak jak w przypadku Pokemon Violet gdzie ledwo 10FPS wyciągano). Na laptopie będzie działać lepiej, lepsze chłodzenie + większe możliwości GPU.
@@trzeciaperspektywa8073 dziękuję bardzo za odpowiedź. Zrobię tak jak w Twoim filmie. R olał PC to nie będę specjalnie kupował konsoli bo ma awersję do PC...
Dzisiejsza aktualizacja Yuzu poprawiła wydajność zwłaszcza na otwartych terenach. Co ciekawe, emulator umożliwia osiągniecie lepszej grafiki niż sam Switch. Jest kilka porównań na YT. W odniesieniu do innych tytułów.

That’s probably caused by Vulkan API. Change it into OpenGL.
@@trzeciaperspektywa8073 yeah I did It, I was going to edit my comment. The only place where the Game doesn't run at 30 FPS (for me) It is the city at the start
Yes, game runs badly especially near the Saloon. In 1st location.
