I can't understand why anyone would give this a thumbs down. It was an excellent presentation and was very informative. A big thank you to David Damek for posting this. He obviously is well skilled and went to some effort to share his techniques with us.
MrOrmesby
Jealousy?
it may be because he doesn't go into every minute detail of how it's done ,some people STILL need to be led by their hand to do anything instead of taking the plunge and learn by our own mistakes
fullstrutn if you went into full detail it would get boring after a while watching a 10 hour video!
his name is david damek
Probably because it's not in English but there are trolls that just run around hitting thumbs down on everything
David, I can just watch you work for hours and pick up new techniques. Please don't ever stop building!!
Wakeman Edwards I agree with you entirely
I'm not a Czech speaker, but this plane looks lovely and it's clear you are a very talented modelmaker! Hope all is well :)
That was a truly great build, thank you for taking the time and allow us to see your fantastic skills. A true artisan.
You continue to present your stunning builds with perfectly compiled videos. That are a pleasure to watch. A truly wonderful rendition of the Airfix Hawker Typhoon, very well done.
Another exquisite build. Superb!
I'm currently re-watching this vid for the fifth time as I start working on my own Airfix Typhoon. Thanks for all of the brilliant content! Keep up the good work. :D
Nice job on the modal keep it up
the typhoon is such an oddly beautiful plane
PUGNACIOUS is a good word for it ! It is one of those Marmite planes - you love it or hate it , it is real ugly/pretty ! Wales UK.
I built the Airfix starter set version of this plane. They are extremely similar
Your posts are pure poetry. You are infinitely better than me, and that is why I just love watching you. So relaxing and pleasant. You give me so many tips to make my modelling better. So pleased I found your posts! Thank you for the pleasure you are giving me in this Pandemic!!
Love watching these videos; seeing other modelers work and always seem to pick up a tip or two.
A perfect build!!! Great inspiration! Thank you very much!
Excellent build! Great presentation and a fantastic end result. I'm going to try my first build and I'm inspired by your talent. Thanks!
Thanks for this posting. Very thorough in every step. Great job, sir.
Beautiful demonstration of modelling skills.
As always, fantastic build, I really enjoy these videos.
Congratulations my friend, great job, I'm from Brazil and I like airplane models of ww1 and ww2.
Brilliant build!
Wow, i´m very impressed! Great job.
Absolutely outstanding job Martin! Well done :-)
Damn impressive Martin! glad I found your channel
Awesome to see early plasmo videos. I laughed when I saw the little coffee creamers!
I'm really liking the recent Airfix kits, especially 72 scale.
I have the Tiiffy ready to go. It really is a gorgeous little kit. Same with Bf109 E4 and A MODEL FW190.
They are not perfect, but awesome value.
Beautiful! Thank you!
Awesome camouflage pattern, I hope I will make it half as good, as you did.
An excellent build with superb results. One thing though Typhoon cockpits were black not the Gray green.
Beautiful !
I never knew he could speak backwards :) My favorite Brit aircraft of WWII after the Spitfire (of course) and the Mosquito.
The Spitfire is simply gorgeous. I believe its value is mainly patriotic glamour but I too adore the Mosquito! It's a cool attack aircraft. I personally prefer the Mk1a Typhoon to the B. The B's cannons overheat quickly and jam frequently
malo detialov a velmi kratko bol nasnimany vysledok
Very nice result.
pěkně nafilmováno,zajímavé
Fantastic! I love it! :D
seems that you could finish a model in two or three days at least, your ability is astonishing!
awesome work.. Just an advice.. i'm starting to make a spitfire mkIIa, what tamya color did u use to paint the mimetic scheme?
thank you
Ric
Super model
Hi David, You have answered this question once before, sorry to ask again as I wrote it down and seem to have misplaced it. Question is: How much thinner to use with Mr. Surfacer 1000 through an airbrush, and how much thinner to use with Mr. Super Clear III when spraying through an airbrush. Again, I thank you for all you have taught me, you are one of the best teachers I have ever had and I appreciate your being so generous in sharing your techniques for people like me who love this hobby so much, but have much to learn about using an airbrush. Thank you so much.
+Wakeman Edwards Sorry. I did not notice. How much thinner? It depend on size of airbrush nozzle. I have 0,2 mm with is very small and I must use lot of thinner for surfacer. I use for surfacer ratio 1:2 (surfacer:thinner) and for super clear III 1:3 (varnish:thinner).
Yep...thats what I thought you said. Thank you so much for answering my question again. And that's the information I was looking for, the ratio of thinner to the product. You introduced me to these products and many more, I just didn't know if I needed to use thinner as well. Glad I asked, because i had no idea. You are a great teacher for me and I VER MUCH appreciate you getting back to me my friend. All the best to you and your family!
nice vid, i have a question though, i see you paint the parts without masking, im a noob so im wondering how are you glueing the parts afterwards if theres paint in the area they are supposed to stick? i read all the time that glue needs plastic to melt and make a bond.
+gamise mas re google If you use airbrush, color layer is very tiny, so glue disrupt color. If you paint with brush you must clean color on plastic joints or you can use super glue. It works well on color.
Hi David, I'm curious to know what green paint you used for this and if there's a brand of paints you prefer, thanks!
Great build! I wish you had subtitles in all your videos
to what do you set air pressure when painting large surfaces (wings, fuselage)?
Thank you for your posting. I learned some things, however...Could you please slow down when you show the products you use. It would be nice if you could pause a bit and allow us to see the name and code of the paints, putty etc. Would you be able to subtitle in English the crucial information / advice / tips? Much appreciated.
can you not halt your screen ?
can you pause your screen , then you can read it ?
Martin, do you clear coat your model before applying your wash? Otherwise wouldn't the thinner in the wash attack the decals and make them vulnerable to you scrubbing them off? I really enjoy watching your videos. Please keep them coming.
I would like to have seen the sanding of the wing areas you used Tamiya Putty on...but overall, this is a great build...learned quite a bit...Thank you...
This video was very very good
Dear David, good night.
I was again watching your video on RUclips, where you assemble and paint the Airfix kit 1/72 Hawker Typhoon MK I b, and I would like to know what the metal material that you used to the pilot's seat belts?
I appreciate your help and keep presenting us with their videos, they are amazing. A big hug. Ronaldo - Brazil
I used for seat belts aluminium foil 0,1mm .
Hi Martin what a fantastic build really nice could you please tell me what are the make of washes you use at the final stage as i am so new to model building thanks
You should do an 1/72 eurofighter typhoon !
excellent !
Outstanding! Thank you for showing how to do it so well. Can you please tell me the name of the 3 items you mixed near the end of the video to make the wash. Thanks
usually it is just dirty thinners .Its what you get left over when you clean your brushes just put a bit of black on your brush, put it in thinners and then just cover the model in the stuff.
Great video, what nationality are you? really enjoyed watching this!
How do you make sure wings and tailplane are level (or dihedral ?) I build small jigs with lego ( accurate to 1 two thousandths of an inch !) love your vids David . Wales UK.
Awesome builds! What brushes are you using for the fine detail work like the cockpit?
Awesome, may have to invest in some =)
how thick is the blade on the razor saw you used to cut the armaments bay covers out with? and what manufacturer made it? please.
Crazy good
ďakujem
Wow! What paints did you use?
i enjoyed watching this thank you for posting. may I offer one piece of advice. try and not use so much filler esp on the wing roots as it will give you extra work trying to sand it smooth and you will end up loosing detail when it comes to sanding. otherwise a good build
Please one cuestion. Minute 28, is that a wet cloth? or a washcloth? or a simple cloth?
Wait your answer to continue my typhoon!
Thanks!
Is that like liquid filler that you use, if so what type
Amazing work!! Keep the tutorials coming. Do you have a Special Hobby Pucara in 1/72 or an Eduard 1/72 Albatross modern jet trainer? If you do please bring the video in.
I assume you used Tamiya paints overall, XF-81/82/83?
Nice, build, Martin! What model airbrush do you use? Is it the only one you use, or do you use multiple airbrushes for modeling?
***** Thanks, man!
how long does the process of masking camouflages take?
What paint brush do you use for the seat belts?
I'm from Brazil and I wish there were subtitles in English .... :/
I built this exact same kit. It turned out VERY nice but not this good!
One question, how it's called the last layer of "paint" used to make the metal looks old?? You are awesome!!
dirty thinners ..just put a bit of black on your brush..put it in thinners and brush the dirty thinners over the model
HI Martin, nice build your model looks superb! Can you tell me what do you use after painting and before decals? And what is that product to settle them?
Thanks very much!
Thanks! What I see is that the model isn´t very glossy, but the decals settle perfect on the panel lines. I think that Mr setter is the answer, right?
Thanks for your tips!! Mr softer comes after Mr setter?
Thanks! Nice to see your videos !
what's the green and blue bottles you have when applying the decals to the undercarriage doors?
+Jonay Gunze Mr.MARK setter and Mr.MARK Softer
Thanks :)
wasn't sure as when you displayed the bottle it was still sped up so couldn't catch it.
hi david, amazing vids
What are these Mr Mark bottles; what does they do ?
Tipiak00 They soften and settle decals.
what's that fill putty you use? thanks
hello what is the name of the wash you use on this build many thanks great build
carl
I used home made wash. You will need oil paint and x-20 enamel thinner. ruclips.net/video/FXerpuOthXk/видео.htmlm38s
you are awesome, definetly an inspiration for us. 1 question, i'm restarting this hobby, and i was wondering how can i make a wash if here in my city there's nothing like tamiya, or vallejo ar any kind of washes. Can i make my own wash?? and how??? thank you!
***** thank you very much Martin! actually i was just reading your post in your website where you specify the steps of highlighting panel lines with oil paints and thinner. You've been so helpful, as soon as i finish my model y will send photos to you :D Thank you!
Is it a starter set?
Ahoj,
2. Airbrush a hodně naředěná akrylová barva Tamiya. V tomto případě postačí černá.
3. Lze sehnat v papírnictví. Dělá ji více výrobců např. Pritt Multi Fix. Je určená na lepení plakátu.
Vypadá to nějak takto

I see that you made your own wash. What kind of paint did you use to make it with?
***** Thank you Martin! Now I am interesed in what kind of paint you use in your airbrush, is that acrylic paint? Sorry if I ask so much but I recently started to build after 20 years so I can use every tip I can get! Thanks for the video btw.
Thank you Martin! That saves a lot of buying special washes ;-)
Can u add some subtitles plse?
Ten průhledný je pauzák. Modrý je výkres.
What effect does the pre-shading have when at the end a sludge wash is applied to the whole surface. Doesn't it make the pre-shading irrelevant?
Yes, therefore I do not use it anymore for aircraft with more color camouflage. I prefer post-shading

I think it's good that you still respond to comments even though the video is over 5 years old. You like doing this and want to help us out as much you can!
You ever try "Rubber Cement" instead of using masking tape between your putty lines for camo. It just brushes And when it's dry you just roll it off with your finger, no residue at all. Much faster than masking.
+BennyCFD Yes, I tried it but still prefere masking tape. Maskol may flow under gum fix and then crete very sharp transition.
Ok....Just a thought. Thanks for all the great videos which visual lessons for all of us...
Plasmo, what airbrush do you use?
H&S Hansa 581 with 0.2 mm nozzle.
Might I ask how you are making the wash?
+stsrwaan34 Here ruclips.net/video/FXerpuOthXk/видео.htmlm37s
Great video, only problem is (for me, that is...) is that talking in english would help a lot...
Tks
What do you use for Decals ? ... Is decal soft good or ?!
airfix's decals. they come with the kit.
I use revells decal soft... and it works good for me ... is it better or worse then other
John Cena I've personally never used them-i normally only build Airfix.
Now I know who to properly use water decals, thank you so much.👍
helo. v prvom rade mas asi najlepsie tutorialy a step by step build videa siroko daleko. precizne inspirativne bez zbytocnych omacok. jedna otazka. na ten post shading pouzivas iba nariedenu resp. najemno nastriekanu ciernu?
Ahoj dáš super vydea a mám jeden dotaz..
Jj Promin taky sem si pak všimnul sem slepej :)
1/48 scale, not 72nd
better use poliethelene bags in pile sold for foods then masking tape...
Your model is better than mine 😕😕😕😓😓😓😓
dobrý
I thought you spoke English David
Just a comment for the algorithm.
