Thank you for uploading these videos Tim. I’d never heard of Jim before I came across your feed. I watch a lot of Paul Sellers but Jim seems the type of person that Paul would have apprenticed under. Jim takes me back to my own joinery apprentice days.
Do you have any videos of his chisel and/or plane sharpening please?

After seeing this in his other video I ordered a box of Ticonderoga 2h pencils. After watching a few of his videos if he told me to work wood in a chicken outfit I’d consider it ! Lol I’d also like to mention Jim is the only person on the internet sharing this little tidbit, I’ve never even read this in any woodworking book. Not that it hasn’t been written about but I’ve just never come across it before this gentleman enlightened me. Love this guy , my mission is to accumulate as much of his published work as possible .

2H is the way to go, I ordered a pack of Steadtler "Carpenter's" pencils in 2H, far superior to the bog-standard HB pencils you get in the DIY sheds and builders merchant, I don't feel the need for a £13 fancy builders propelling pencil either !
