When I was young my parents also forced me to learn piano, and my mom and piano teacher would always yell at me for not being good enough, it made me so stressed that I cried all the time when playing piano, especially since I hate classical music.
After giving up piano for 7 years, now I'm trying to learn songs I actually like, and for the first time I realized it can be fun to play the piano :D

L.O.L, a good presentation of how Asian parents control their kid's dream. I was dreaming to become a pilot but my mom wish that I become a doctor. Even it was hard to accept her choice in the early beginning of my college but I finally figure out to enjoy her choice as time flies I am becoming a doctor.
It’s still really frustrating to give up YOUR aspiration because of their manipulation. Saying this as an Asian kid who would rather become an illustrator or artist rather than studying fourteen years to become a doctor.

It won't be in the future. Automation is likely to reverse the trend from doctors, lawyers, and engineers being respectable professions with high salaries. Engineers can be outsourced, and some of the work that doctors and lawyers customarily do will be transferred to robots and digital devices. The demand for human labor will be partially offset by more efficient technology, but even that phenomenon will be significant enough to case a decrease in earnings and thus prestige.

Even with the advancement in automative technologies, there is not much to replace the value of human discernment.
