I think that it's incredible that at nearly 70, George is still out there playing great and performing for crowds with quality performances. I saw him in Detroit earlier this year and they were incredible. If he's in town, don't miss him!
Man, this is just stellar. It's not as rigorously technical as he might have played it in '87 but it's every bit as compelling. Lynch continues to be an inspiration!
This is live though, he had overdubs and takes in studio :) I saw him live in Monsters of Rock in 86 or was it 87 I forget.. And sounds about the same now as then.. he killed it here. I like hearing his constant new variations / improv each time over the years :)
Whew, that was killer! George's playing has tons of nuance and style. Very few guitarists reach this level of individuality, technical brilliance, and emotive playing. His new album is fantastic too. Should win George a Grammy for instrumental album of the year.
One of the top underated guitarist ever, im 34 and got graced being turned on to this absolute beauty of a beast. This dude sent a many guitarist back to the garage to practice
A lot of people commenting on the drummer. That is Jimmy D'Anda from the Bulletboys! Remember "Smooth Up In Ya'" in 1988? His appearance here is quite the contrast to the glam image he had back in the 80's! He used to look like Theater of Pain Tommy Lee back in the day. While I agree that his going shirtless days are definitely behind him now, he was & is a powerhouse drummer that till this day is one of my favorites from the 80's era.
Incredible performance! George has played Mr.Scary live, every show for nearly 4 decades. But for a few anchor points, like his awesome signature tapping lick at the end of the final solo, every incarnation is different! GL's improvisation skills are peerless IMO. Be it drenched in an insane,100% wet delay signal,or ripped with more subtle effects..George consistently delivers a high intensity, passionate AF performance as if he's playing MS for the first time, not the millionth time. I consider myself blessed to have lived all my life in the era of such incredible musicianship and trailblazing guitar virtuosity from George Lynch and the usual subjects we all know and respect so much. Thanks for sharing!
My top 3 were always Randy Rhoades , EVH and George. We still have Mr Scary and he’s still killing it. Only a handful of guys in the world have their own sound that when you here them play? You know who it is. George is on that short list.
George said Mr Scary was 28 guitar tracks to get the finished version on the album. He would need 1/2 dozen of himself on stage to replicate that live. Just enjoy the live version - He is a God amongst us!
Screw age!!!!!! George Lynch is rockin it! This might as well be 1987. Dye your hair dark again. He's lean, wears cool clothes, there's no hint of "old man" as far as I see. Still got the cool guitar stances too. George Lynch is the LeBron and Steph of 80s Hardrock!
He has not lost a lick in his 69 yrs on earth... I dont need to see George to know its him playing All I have to do is listen to his tone and a few licks and bam you know its him....Very few hold the golden badge of a True Guitar legend. He does...
I wish George would do a Lynch Mob record with Pilson on Bass and Micks brother on drums a good vocalist maybe Dino Jelusick and make it 1 scorching song after another go Heavy and fast !!!
Ok, as a lifelong Lynch fan, how is it, that even at 55, he looks better in every single video on yt year after year than the best decade of any one of us fans. Must be the playing. Good thing he never took up the habit of walking into the crowd when we saw him live. Every one of us there would have walked out single. lol
He's not getting fat. So his diet shouldn't be too bad. I started working out and eating healthy at 38 years old and shortly after had a better body and bodyfeeling than in my 20s. Wearing tight shirts, having a bottle of water instead of soda or beer in my hands, smiling...eating healthy and working out just makes you happy and good looking. Same with George I guess. And a little bit of genetics. ;)
Well, he's thin genetically. He obviously eats well. When you eat well all the time and excersise, it pays off. Yeah he's got the same moves and stances when performing. I see he dyed his hair blonde. I hated the gray. If he would just shave his gray facial hair he'd look even younger.
What’s with that Kamikaze? Looks like he modified the graphics. There are two crossed feathers where the bomber should be and the bombs on the treble horn look weird. George has some dumb lefty political views, but I let it slide because he’s such a legend. Rock on, my dude.
I love George Lynch, that said the phasing effect is cool in certain circumstances, but this song does not need it, it should be shut off completely, it ruins his amazing solo!
George always has been and will forever be a beast!
Better delete the a in "beast"!
George is just ...the meaning of hard working and authentic. None.. of the delusional arrogance of the rock star. 🤘😎

@@jenniferw8963He should play as originally written. That's what the fans pay for. This is not an opinion, it's a FACT.
@@banditdarval9401he’d have to be three people then… it’s got multiple overdubs.
@@banditdarval9401 I'm a retired high pressure combination pipe welder. Funny boy.
This is actually more expressive

Wrong George has never been underrated.

Great tone.... George is really consistent in this field.... always sounds gritty and ballsy !!!
Uses Marshalls for his whole career, that's why, even when he endorsed Randall.
George is like fine wine!
69 years young, folks...
That drummer is powerhouse.
Dynamite, nice job THX for documenting the tour!!
The Boyz Xciter Dokken Lynch Mob 🌟🌟🌟🌟
George 👑👑👑
The one and only; MR. SCARY. MY GUITAR HERO! Keep on rockin George!❤🎸🙏
Damn....True Artist...
Dear god, this is the best. Please come to Midwest. we lost EVH but still have GL a treasure.
Lynch back on top form
Wish George would have done more "jamming" (his word) this night. I was at Picktown Palooza. Standing right next to soundboard tent for Lynch set.
Even more impressive when you consider that the studio version had *27* guitar tracks on it.
327!!
Did it really?
@@supernothing77 Not sure about the 327, but it was definitely a lot.
17 tracks

Wow! Wow! When I grow up I wanna be like George...

yo I was there too (near the guy who took the video around 0:30)! it was awesome! :)
Great!
Wow what amazing performance George! You only get better with your age! :)
The real Hendrix's heir...🙏KING🎸GEORGE🤩
The bass player and the drummer are freaking rocking out!
this version of lynch mob is fantastic
Is one of the greatest guitar players EVER
Epic!!!

SVP you’re welcome for my contribution. I appreciate the recognition.
Great guitar, and we get flashed with some tig ole bitties!!!
Respect.
randy rhodes took one look at george and called him mr scary! true story!
George said Mr Scary was 28 guitar tracks to get the finished version on the album. He would need 1/2 dozen of himself on stage to replicate that live. Just enjoy the live version - He is a God amongst us!
so glad i was able to be backstage

I think his hair is dyed....again. He used to dye dark, then let it grow out full grey.
This ain't grey....blonde?
@@stratrat57 I guess you're right. I went back and looked again. Well...then he needs to shave the gray facial hair and beard. Lol
ESP's "KAMIKAZE" guitar. very cool.
Lynch is da Man!!!!

So underrated
Still goin strong george
Tech- So, how much delay do you…
George- ALL OF IT!!!!
what's the box on top of the power station?
Who is the naked man playing the drums??
wow jimmy d anda looks different. maybe he should start wearing shirts again
He sounds better than ever, though.
@3:37 Georgie boy spazzes out!!!
That hombre on drums be bad to the bone. Salute this video
I wish George would do a Lynch Mob record with Pilson on Bass and Micks brother on drums a good vocalist maybe Dino Jelusick and make it 1 scorching song after another go Heavy and fast !!!
What is the name of this song??? Anyone??
If George played a ukelele, it would still mesmerise...
What Kamikaze is that?? I have a Japan Kamikaze 1, it does not have feathers on it like this one….
That's not ESP Kamikaze but LTD Desert Eagle, another George Lynch signature guitar.
@@jaeyool actually is the desert eagle prototype, a real one from Japan made with full maple body.
Best guitar ever. Those things weigh a ton. I've never seen a Native American version before.

He's not 55. He's 68! Turning 69 in Sept. Which is even crazier.

Hope you mean that you are 55, because George is 69.
He's finally gotten his tone back. He was "experimenting" with dry tone & beat up guitars for too long.
The naked drummer strikes again
ドラム叩いてるのて
とにかく明るい安村?
What is that guitar?? Looks like a Kamikaze, but not!!
Who's the couch potato with the dad bod on drums? 😂
What’s with that Kamikaze? Looks like he modified the graphics. There are two crossed feathers where the bomber should be and the bombs on the treble horn look weird. George has some dumb lefty political views, but I let it slide because he’s such a legend. Rock on, my dude.
The phaser has go to go.
Time for a shower or what..
I love George Lynch, that said the phasing effect is cool in certain circumstances, but this song does not need it, it should be shut off completely, it ruins his amazing solo!
Is it just me or does the drummer look like he’s playing naked lol. He needs some roto time to play it correctly too.
I can't listen to another moment of George butchering his own solos.
youll never see a bass player work harder doing so little. HAHA
The drummer need to put clothes on please !
Not even close to the original at all.....
lol it’s better!!! George always changes it! Many can’t do this!!!! They was a master piece
rock has lost its soul....the bassist thinks its 1988.....i love lynch, but rock has hit bottom....no good acts today....just cover bands
