Class of 81 here. Truer words never spoken, Becky. Everyone says the decade they grew up in was the all time greatest, but you rarely hear them say it with a big ol' grin and with such conviction as those who lived and partied in the 80's! Rock you up!
I really hope no one remakes this, this is a damn Canadian treasure for gods sake and so is he. Some things are better left untouched, this song is one of them.
This is another Recording all the Songs could have been on the Charts. The one with Everything I Do (I Do It For You) a vast Majority would have been included. Bryan some of these could even be Chart Toppers. I Finally Found Someone with Barbra Streisand.
Man, these songs take you back to when we were younger, better looking and definately EASIER TIMES!!! I still go back listening to it!!! BEST MUSIC OF ALL TIME THE 80s!!!
They don't even make songs like this any more. I clicked this thing on with no memory of what it sounded like and was just flat out blown away. The immediate appeal of the melody. Its amazing. This is Bryan Adams under the radar. Puts him in the class with every classic rock band there ever was. Bryan Adams should be in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame for God's sake.
+Vera Evans As an American who loves rock n roll, I feel we have all been blessed in this world w/ America's best, England's best, and Canada's best. My God what a wonderful time it was to grow up w/ so much incredible music. But back to your BA comment, I agree w/ you one thousand percent. Bryan Adams should be in the Hall Of Fame. If Madonna, Grandmaster Flash, and other artist like that are so easily thrown in as soon as they are eligible, how in the hell could Bryan Adams not be? He's not even been on a ballot to even be considered through the years as far as I know. Sad to say(and I don't want to get started bc it pisses me off to no end) to think that Rush was just inducted after all these years of being eligible, is insane. KISS, same thing. The Cars, Chicago, Cheap Trick, Boston, Ted Nugent, Deep Purple, Doobie Brothers, Yes, and so many greats, are not in, but those like Patti Smith, Public Enemy, and other garbage that call themselves rock n roll are. I think people are getting fed up.
stan yarbrough I had no idea sentiment ran so deep about Adams and other great artists not being in the Hall of Fame. But to tell you the truth, if The Cars and Chicago aren't in, I guess our friend BA is in some good company. He'll get in someday. Maybe. But Bryan Adams is a genius.
+Vera Evans You are right. Bryan Adams definitely kicks ASS!!! It doesn't get much simpler than this does it? White shirt, blue jeans, a good melody, and a well written song that fucking HAMMERS!!! Hoorah!!! Kanye could learn a thing or 2.....
I miss cassettes so much (I still have tons stored away for sentimental value). I got his So Far So Good greatest hits on tape in 1998 at 13. Always loved this song but that wasn't on it unfortunately

Always thought Keith Scott's guitar contributed greatly to the sound of these classic somgs. The solos were always very minimal and clean, but a very fitting part of the song.
Keith Scott, like Rick Neilsen, Pete Townsend, and the Edge is a judicious user of the riff...crisp, concise and impactful. Very underated player. Love his style as it says 80s all over.
Really it's extremely commercial music there is better stuff around just dig a little deeper and you will be trading your Bryan Adams in for something on the more alternative seen like THE MISSION for example

Actually you’re wrong, I graduated in 1985 so we’re on the same page but I work with alot of gen Z kids and you’d be surprised that they think the music from our generation is as great as we think it is , that’s because kids that age have parents our age who listen to this music. I also see a lot of YT channels from the younger generation that do reviews on our music and they seem to like it
We had absolutely no idea that we were living during the best years that America would ever know. Time travel to 1984 . . . I was 19. Listening to this gem while cruisin' with the top down on Blackstone Avenue, Fresno, California. Not a worry in the world.
Reckless....The best Bryan Adams Album ever......Every song a single!!!...Every song unforgettable....That record made him a world superstar and took him into the Hall of Fames!!!!...

Love this song. Awesome video. Seen Bryan Adams over 25 times around the UK. Amazing singer. Looking forward to seeing him at the Royal Albert Hall when the world settles. Cuts Like An Knife back to front live will be amazing XXXX
It's pretty remarkable how many people my music touches...I think I am very lucky in that way. I think I have you to be the most thankful for 🎹🌹🎹🌹 this is my Gmail (offibryanadam2021@gmail.com) message me and I will keep in touch with you--
He was 25 here, looked and sounded so much older. Thank you Bryan for the memories. Keith Scott had such simple melodies and solos on guitar too. He was solid on Cuts Like a Knife as well. Perfect fit and solid hits.
Idk man, he always looked pretty young for his age (even now he's' 58 and seems maybe late 40s) and had a Marty McFly vibe in the Reckless era. I think its just because he had a husky voice so he sounded older.
Vallance was the drummer and song writer for his original band "Prism" from Vancouver Canada. Not surprisingly, one of their biggest hits "Don't let him know" was written by Adams. Vallance must have known talent when he saw it because not much later he joined Adams and the rest is history. Prism is still touring, led by a very talented and original member Al Harlow. My bother in law Marc Gladstone is their keyboardist.
I was SO lucky to have been raised in a family of musicologists with a wide range of genres in our household. Coming off Cuts Like A Knife (and at the age of 16), I was anticipating Bryan's next album and Reckless hit me that October 1984 like a load of bricks. Something changed in the treatment of the recording and mixes. The guitar harmonics are woven with intricate eccentricity. What a fantastic maturation with this record and I was very much invested as a young guitarist to explore how Bryan wrote and composed every track. (Into The Fire blew me away!)
Good for you, for being born in a good generation of music. I'm in my mid teens and totally agree with you. My music taste goes all the way back to about the fifteenth century and up until the early 2000's. All those generations of great works of art and this is the generation I'm stuck with...
I hear you and as much I love the music from the 80s, I'd suggest that you should check out music by artists like Gary Clark Jr and Joe Bonamassa, who're absolute monsters!
I agree. That recent Billy Ray Cyrus song became the all time number one song spending close to 20 weeks at number one while Billie Eilish was number 2 the whole time until that song took over number 1. Possibly 2 of the biggest songs ever and I hate them both passionately! That’s why I’m listening to this!
Ah yes, the 1980s - back when musicians could still play musical instruments, and everyone else still had pubic hair. An epic track from Bryan Adams' masterpiece.
Love love Bryan Adams. Miss those days so much I just will always cherish and think of them Thank u Bryan Adams and all the other wonderful 80s music icons
Thank you Bryan Adams. I’m not an 80s kid, born in 2000 - but you were my First concert ever, this song makes me cry to this day. So beautiful, so emotional, so powerful. Thank you :)

We were slim, cool, and very good looking back in the 80’s. Take me back. PLEASE!!!

This and The Heat of Night. Both not flogged to death on radio like Summer and the highly cringeworthy Everything I Do...

Keith Scott, like Rick Neilsen, Pete Townsend, and the Edge is a judicious user of the riff...crisp, concise and impactful. Very underated player. Love his style as it says 80s all over.
Keith Scott is a genius!! Minimalistic solos, but with very soul (sorry for my english)
I don't care what anyone says, but Reckless is one of my favorite albums ever.Signed, by a life-long Black Sabbath/Zeppelin/Hendrix fan.
It's already 2021 and these songs are still on my playlist, loving Bryan forever and ever ❤️
Really it's extremely commercial music there is better stuff around just dig a little deeper and you will be trading your Bryan Adams in for something on the more alternative seen like THE MISSION for example

You must have had a very lonely life.
@@nancyelizabethpi what the hell do you mean when you say I must have had a lonely life that doesn't make sense
I had the biggest crush on him! :)
I was in his concert three years ago in Toronto and I can say he is still amazing. The music, his voice, just amazing. He sounds even better now live.
Saw him in winnipeg in 2019 I think and it sounded amazing. One of the best concerts I've been too....
You're the silent type
And you caught my eye
But I never thought that I'd be touchin' you
How was I to know
I'd let my feelin's go
And that I'd be yours before the night was through
One night love affair
Tryin' to make like we don't care
We were both reachin' out for somethin'
One night love affair
Pretendin' it ain't there
Oh - and now we're left with nothin'
When the mornin' breaks
We go our separate ways
If the night was made for love it ain't for keeps
But I lose control
As I watch you go
All my senses say I'm in this much too deep
Now you're outa reach
One night love affair
Tryin' to make like we don't care
We were both reachin' out for somethin'
One night love affair
Pretendin' we don't care
Oh - and now we're left with nothin'
[Solo]
One night love affair
Trying' to make like we don't care

Every generation thinks the music in their time was the best. Im no different. Man we had it good in the 80s!
I just wished to God that I everytime I said Man I wish I was 16, Man I wish high school was over, Man I wish I was 18, Man I can't wait until I'm 21 that I knew then what it was that I was wishing away

@@raymondsolisjr.1262 same here. They could name themselves after anything, but it's up to the listeners who decide.
@@raymondsolisjr.1262 Never thought much of Bruce SpringALeak. Still don't.
He got his nickname “The Boss” while playing with a band called Earth in the late 1960s when he was tasked with collecting the band's fee from club owners and distributing it among the band afterwards.
@@raymondsolisjr.1262 he's been the leader of every band he's been with since he was a teenager, natural born leader with great songwriting ability, the other musicians just followed him; also because of his working-class jersey connection, an actual good boss/union leader that looks after his employees

One of the best rock voices. A talent that just couldn’t be hidden had to come out in the 80s
What a time to grow up, it was great.
Damn, love this song. One of his most underrated ones. Used to blast this song and album back in the day. Glad that I got to see Bryan Adams live with Def Leppard years back. Truly great experience.
my fav by him too joe-and yes very underrated...so miss these songs and times...

This song pretty much describes how my husband and I got together. He was always a huge Bryan Adams fan and dressed just like Bryan when we first met back in 1988. I was the silent type and caught his eye.
Love this song. Thanks Bryan.

Love this song. Awesome video. Seen Bryan Adams over 25 times around the UK. Amazing singer. Looking forward to seeing him at the Royal Albert Hall when the world settles. Cuts Like An Knife back to front live will be amazing XXXX

I wish I was a teenager in the 80s. Seems so much better than how 2010s were.
I wish it could.. 😢
I was 3
I was two. But probably listening to this album
IMHO this is Bryan Adams' best song
Definitely
Yeah, it sucks though that this track was not included on his 1993 greatest hits album, So far so good.
And neither was his second best song, "Thought I'd Died and Gone to Heaven".
What about Diana?
DreamBoulevard
I loved this song since I was seven years old, still haven't stopped in my 40's.
The 80’s were magical times!! Everything was new and anything was possible!!
YEA!!! It sure was!!
@@xennial80sxberner I thought I was the only one who noticed he had a Marty McFly vibe in him!
Thank GOD i was a teen in the 80' s
This song represents the spirit of the 80s, how I love listen to that❤ love Bryan
Thanks for the info. I've got some old Prism on vinyl. Always love finding the historical families of rock and roll
Eat your heart out Justim Beiber..
I miss the 80's :(
It's the 80s music that keeps me goin. Can't get enough, great decade.
I agree with you
Be lucky you had a chance to miss it wish I could have been there
Me 2
Lee Anna Reynolds seen this tour in the 80s was great
I was SO lucky to have been raised in a family of musicologists with a wide range of genres in our household.
OMG. I love his music.!
He's not bad to look at either
Sadly there really aren't many just Straight up Rock n Roll artists in today's top 40 list. I'm 48 and I hate today's artists!!
Lol. That makes two of us.
I agree this so called music is rubbish
I agree. That recent Billy Ray Cyrus song became the all time number one song spending close to 20 weeks at number one while Billie Eilish was number 2 the whole time until that song took over number 1. Possibly 2 of the biggest songs ever and I hate them both passionately! That’s why I’m listening to this!
grown man and this was one of my favs as a teenager-for somereason everytime I listen tears roll down my face.
Everything this guy does is with heart, soul and nostalgia .
Growing up as a kid in the 80's WAS. THE. BEST!
When I watched "Real Genius" for the first time, and heard this song in the background of the party scene, I just about lost it. :D :D :D

Love how Keith nods at Brian at 2:40 as if to say my turn now. Love this track & Keith’s playing
This generation couldn't feel real 80s rock
Another 80s beauty !!!!!!!!!!
Ah yes, the 1980s - back when musicians could still play musical instruments, and everyone else still had pubic hair.
An epic track from Bryan Adams' masterpiece.
I saw him as the lead up band before Journey in Cincy late 70's and he out played them all night!!!!!!! Kicked there ass.....
Bryan Adams is definitely superior to Journey.
They basically made a living off one song.
Love love Bryan Adams. Miss those days so much I just will always cherish and think of them Thank u Bryan Adams and all the other wonderful 80s music icons
Hell Yeah! This Was Still At A Time, When Rock And Roll Performer's Gave Off Enough Pure Energy To Light Up A Large City! Thank You Bryan Adam's!
the honey & sandpaper voice, the duel guitars....perfection
What a great description...honey and sandpaper....yep...that covers it.
Bryan Adams music was always great back in the 80' S and early 90' S. Love listing to it I remember this song and video on MTV when MTV was MTV.
Thank you Bryan Adams. I’m not an 80s kid, born in 2000 - but you were my First concert ever, this song makes me cry to this day. So beautiful, so emotional, so powerful.
Thank you :)
Bryan Adams é o melhor não existe outro, com tantas músicas boas,é bom no pop no rock e no lírico.é o cara
I miss those guitar riffs and solos. They were a hallmark of the 80s.
