  • Welcome back to another exciting episode of Chords & Coffee, the weekly show where we dive deep into all things music with your host, Nate White! In this week's episode, Nate explores the versatile world of guitar capos and how they can elevate your playing to new heights.
Capos can be crutches that keep our fingers clamped in familiarity and resistant to change or they can be indispensable tools that help us get a hold on new harmonic textures. What do you think? Are capos cool? Let's talk about it! Tune up your guitar, grab a cup of coffee, and get ready to hear the "Confessions of a FORMER Capo Snob" on Chords & Coffee!
The content of Chords & Coffee is driven by the comment section, so if you have a question about anything, let us know in the comments! No question is "too stupid." We are all learning, and we are all in this boat together.

Thank you so much, Dave! That was one of those things that as we were working on it we wondered if this was going to be funny or insanely obnoxious… it’s a fine line. 😅

Great video. Back in the day I use to be a drop D snob and a capo snob. I thought it made power chords easy ect. I use to hate it but realized you can do a lot more with it than easy power chords. I also realized that using a capo, and someone playing in regular chords really creates a good harmonies together.

Same here. Now I love drop D and I’m really starting to be partial to drop C believe it or not! 😄👍
