Really love your stuff. Best educational VGC stuff out there right now in my opinion. Especially enjoy that you show the example games of the teams after you explain them!
I’ve been having a lot of success on ladder with Kingambit/Latios/Flutter Mane. Latios is sneaky good with tailwind speed control and soul dew luster purge punishing poison teras plus ally switch is a great surprise tech on ladder and draco meteor combined with steel tera to give dragon resistance and not having a ground weakness because of levitate is a great answer to raging bolt and gouging fire as well as punishing tera poison landorus which can otherwise cause problems for kingambit and flutter mane. Recommend trying it out! I’m running 220hp 20def 252spatk 12spdef 4spe modest its surprisingly bulky especially after tera.
@@matthewbermudez4061I haven’t tested it but Serebii says it’s priority 3. So it goes before almost everything but same prio as fake out so I assume you need to outspeed. Obv can’t be 4 cause then it’d stop protect
After taking a long time off after sword and shield, I’m getting back into vgc and have a lot to catch up in terms of the meta, but your videos have been insanely helpful for getting caught up with the state of the meta right now and I cannot thank you enough! Why isn’t anybody using Moltres? Good into psyspam, super effective against Ogerpon, rillaboom, both urshifu, amoonguss, ghodengo, and farigiraf. I feel like it should be destroying rn

I’ve watched some of your past videos but been MIA from Pokémon til recently, in one of your past videos of S/V you said you considered doing coaching. Do you do coaching?
Guys a good team I’ve been stomping the ladder with: Torn. Raging. Chi yu. Flutter. OgerW. Lando I. Incinaroar has absolute no use. If you think you can get away with parting shot. Good try because proto boost spAttk terra fairy choice specs flutter says otherwise.
have you considered using the box feature in showdown, allows you to spend less time deleting mons and you can use a Pokémon you’d never would use on a team/core, ditto would be a simple recommendation, it would also allow you to link it for people to view.
Love the content, a video a while back inspired me to build with iron Jugulis. I have it on a rain team (hurricane spam) with Duraladon and Urshifu-RS and it feels really strong
It also has Wide Guard for wide spread move spam, like Chi-Yu + Flutter. But even with all of these, the current meta is so offensive and diverse that more often than not you'll be in a situation in which you'll be using Hitmontop for 1 thing only and not much else. This kind of Hitmontop wouldn't bring a long term support like an Indeedee, Farigiraf or Rillaboom would, nor would it be a strong immediate support like Incineroar or Amoonguss. However, it does have some tools if you want to try not very standard things. I had one with said Wide Guard in my Blueberry Prologue team to have a chance against Stellar Tera Starstorm spam that was going on along with Fake Out, but instead of Intimidate, I had Technician + Clear Amulet and Triple Axel to chunk 50 to 70% HP of anything that didn't resist Ice while also threatening an ohko with Close Combat if the Ice resistant was another Ice or Steel. I get that the mons I faced in that format were not as strong as reg F, but so were my available teammates. Hitmontop is not a mon that will do the big heavylifting in the team in the current format, so it's more a matter of adjusting it to cover for teammates than to do it for itself.
@@leonardobarbosatelles2779 no problem. It's always nice to look for more information when starting something new. Now, to complement my previous answer regarding what you said Hitmontop can do, you'de better off with Farigiraf or Indeedee to block priority because they don't have to use a turn + move slot for that and on the other hand Incineroar also has Intimidate + Fake Out while not being weak to Flutter Mane, resisting Fire Ogerpon and not fearing a burn from a Fake Out into Burning Bulwark from Gouging Fire. That's not to say that Hitmontop has no viability whatsoever, it's just that if you want all these things combined, maybe you should rethink on using Hitmontop, but you absolutely can use it for one of these things + damage on Close Combat and something else.
Hey Neil, this is very reg A, but I'm thinking on mewscarada as a counter for both shifus, she's naturally faster and has access to protean+playrough, whatcha think?

I’d like to see you talk about Okidogi. It’s great into Incineroar and its poison typing allows it to OHKO ogerpons. Plus upper hand is very anti meta
This is actually a very good point and has inspired me to build Okidogi. Thankyou lol
I’ve been saying this it’s not quite the best upper hand user cause it doesn’t outspeed rillabooms fake out but with guard dog it hard counters incin

@NeilVGC wolfe and other major names participated in a 208 player tournament last Saturday. Will you be making a video on the tournament?
Is AV Kingambit still effective on the Gouging Fire core? Or does it really need to be Black Glasses/Dread Plate?
Is there a Ninetales and Venusaur Core that you like? Other than shiny locked partners?
How to counter weezing gas hability?
What about indeedee iron crown core? Not good enough for top 15?
