Tbh if the US military replaced Fossil fuel as it's way of fueling its machines with solar or electric power, shit wont be so bad for the environment, mobility wouldn't be relied on how much fuel is spent rather how much battery life it has which wouldnt be too bad depending on the recharge rates and means of recharging. Also by not relying on fossil fuels will mean the engines can be a bit better than gasoline engines due to the usage of electricity instead of gasoline. It will also help the environment, be much cheaper to operate, maintain and improve, if solar panels are installed to the vehicle, recharging will not be a problem when sun is out, but when it's not then theres always Reserved batteries. I think that would be very beneficial for Military, seeing how a electric runned vehicle would also be a brand new Computerized vehicle with possibly unmanned turrets and sensors n gadgets we would see in future vehicles. So technically going Solar n Electric and ditching fossil fuels is a Leap forward not backwards, its the way of the future and I support that!

If you want to reduce carbon emissions and make a military green, then the key solution is to work for peace, then militaries will decrease in size therefore become less aggressive to the environment.
