Could you do a full concert photography tutorial? From getting your gear ready, to actually shooting at the event and what that looks like? Would be so cool to see!

dozens of dollars as a tour photographer, i'm dead 😅 an additional suggestion that i do a lot in concert photography is to actually start with split tone adjustments for just the skin and then work backwards from there-sometimes i find it easier to get the skin to that perfect starting place and adjust backward, and you can usually adjust the skin with just light/mid color adjustments in split toning without affecting the rest of the color of the image/the feel of the lighting direction!

As a former concert lighting designer, this video only slightly hurts me since you’re changing the colors of the design. But I know your intentions are good so keep on! Lol

You make the concert a greater experience for those who are there. We photographers make the images look better for sharing the concert and for those who weren’t there ✨👍

@@ShotBySoutoo I always try to keep the lights on the subject, I feel like its more visceral to the person seeing it, gets you closer to the feeling of being in the show

I will say, on close ups, this is the way, but as a wide of the entire stage/lighting design? Absolutely, keep the colors relatively the same as they were unless B&W.

"Sheesh!" - that's more polite than what I usually say when red is the go-to lighting color at a show!

Love the Wonder Years shot, I was convinced that being Canadian the concert photos would just be of Celine Dion and Avril Lavigne. Also whats the tune used at the end of all your videos as it's a bop.

I shot Andrew McMahon late last year in Tulsa, OK. It's a shame that the lighting guy lit up the guitarist on the left and put the worst lighting on Andrew! It was a tough shoot.
