A Heavy Lake Effect Snow Event is currnetly pounding the Pulaski, New York area with snowfall rates in excess of 3 inches per hour, as well as visibility near zero. Plow crews are struggling to keep up with the relentless snowfall as it will continue through Monday evening.

The tow plow is the most sensible snow fighting machine for rural interstates. I can't think of any possible better way to quickly remove snow across 2 lanes.

By using these plows and going tandem, they not only clear the highway better, they slow down the drivers who would end up in the ditch after passing a single plow.

That's not bad at all . I been on 81 when it was snowing so bad everyone was driving 10 mph . Stay safe and hope that area get alot more snow . Snowmobilers and BUSINESSES need the snow.

I used to live in Oswego county. Optimum word, used to. Got my name on a plaque with the other Vietnam era vets in Palermo or Pulaski, I forget.

I grew up in Pulaski on a farm off rt 11. I can remember snow being so deep at times that ordinary snow plows couldn't get through in some places and they had to bring in rotary equipped snow plows. I believe they were called Walthers. Picture a huge snow blower mounted on the front of a snow plow truck like they use out west in the mountains. At times, school would be closed for days due to roads being impassable.
This was not unusual winter weather for this area back in the day.

That snow plow and it’s driver were bad to the bone. Dangerous but dang that was some serious snow removal work. I live in eastern NC and rarely get to see heavy snow.. and our plows are dump trucks scraping and bringing. Better stock up early or no bread and milk for you.😂

Im in Liverpool/Clay just north of Syracuse....the weather dude said that the shit in Pulaski is gonna come south tonight and we are expected to get up to 6 inches tonight.......i hate this place and wanna go home to MS

Jason, we use to live in Radisson, right outside of Baldwinsville. Hated the snow while we were there. Husband had to drive to and from Oswego to the nuke plant and that was treacherous in the winter. Texas now.
