Hey mate! Hope you're keeping well. Randomly I watched it in France on hols but don't remember the UK one; would have loved to have seen it in English back then as the French language version made no sense to me haha. Really cool isn't it; all the cinematic music from a fairly mature film transferred into a cartoon - amazing!! Have a goodun Nate. Chat soon.
Man i loved this cartoon back in the day. Nothing better than taking a violent adult film series about a man with PTSD and turning it into a Saturday morning cartoon. Gotta love the 80s 😂
Mad isn't it when you reflect back on how this was commissioned. I think the toy company may have got involved thinking it would help push out the figures (perhaps it worked as they're in mega abundance in the US). Can you remember what channel or programme it was on? I'm sure I saw it in France (with crazy dubbing) when on hols but missed it in the UK.
Ah what a cartoon- in the real world the general would be buying arms from America - The force of freedom (to buy guns). Shame they never got to make a cartoon series for the Kenner Aliens or Kenner Terminator toys - that would have been cool - although there may have to be one or two falalties.
haha, very true Nick. A role reversal haha. Would have been awesome but, as you say, there's no way they could have made it without any sign of blood. And those aliens even in cartoon form would have freaked me out :0)
Oh, jeez! I'd forgotten all about this cartoon. I'm just trying to think where i watched it, back in the day. I don't recall it ever being on Saturday morning tv. I certainly don't remember it being on Get Fresh, Saturday Superstore, Going live, Ghost Train. Those would've been the shows on during this cartoons run. Was it on satellite TV? I know i watched it somewhere.
Hey mate! I watched it on hols in France (hadn't a Scooby what was going on for obvious reasons haha). Rob commented that he saw it back in the day so must have been somewhere in UK tv land. Hot dawg, I'd forgotten about Get Fresh!!! We had some great Saturday morning programmes; with poxy streaming services I don't think kids of today get anything similar.
@@RetroEdUK Get fresh was awesome, eh. With Gareth Jones and Gilbert the alien, lol. I think it was much better than the other ITV show, No 73. I thought Motormouth was great too. Oh, and top banana. ITV has some great Saturday morning TV shows to rival the beebs.
This is one I never saw back in the day Which is sad because I would have loved it, What channel and time was this shown in the UK? If you can remember to way back then 😂 Nice 18 I love these childhood cartoons
Hey Marc. I only remember watching it in France but must have been out in the UK at some point as Champion2D Rob watched it. I don't remember it coming up but then again my memory is dreadful haha. It's a fun lil watch albeit an odd franchise to make a cartoon of lol. Cheers mate!
Bloody hell this takes me back.
I forgot this existed. I love how they use music from the movie lol 😆

@@RetroEdUK Can't remember that at all. But I still have my Rambo cartoon mug from when I was a kid.
Woah!!! That’s great mate!!! Most of my childhood mugs were from Easter eggs and were lost somewhere over the decades.
@@RetroEdUK My mum kept it in use. She used it to scoop rice out of the bag 😂. It's now on my shelf.
Never seen this before Ed, cool 👍
It's pretty decent albeit a random franchise to pump into a kid's cartoon haha. Have a goodun mate.
A new classic cartoon to keep me company, cheers mate.
you're very welcome mate! :0)
Id never seen this so thanks Ed 🙌
You're very welcome amigo :0)
