I found a few birch Boletes near me but for some reason they stain blue, they look like the exact ones you found but stain blue wondering if you know anything about that
Hi Jasper. I'm not an expert but I have read that certain varieties of the birch bolete do stain blue. I know of someone in Tasmania who picks the blue staining ones.

Well done !
a curiosity, does the pinophilus variety also originate there?
@porcinirossiandco.mushroom no I don't believe they originated in Australia, but that variety apparently does grow in Australia.

OK thank you
if they were born there they would weigh 5 kg!! 😂👍
muuuuuuusshhrooooom
I always hear muuuusshhroooom in that cute voice from past video when I watch newer videos 😂
Did you collect that now or a few weeks ago as I think the porcini season is over??
That big one was a few weeks ago. The smaller ones and the birch are recent. Still some young ones popping up, but far and few between

@jasperwisdom7776 I don't know to be honest, as I've never picked them before.
