We are moving away from concrete foundations. Younger generations aren't into permanent.
That was LITERALLY what I was thinking. Isn’t soil erosion a possible problem in the long term? 🤷🏽♂️

Помню сараюху на даче делали, в стены шли двери, панели доски, светло когда дверь открыта, часов 6 от пола до крыши ушло.
One old tip from a old painter. @ 30:58 you build your own window frame with I assume a piece of glass installed. You assembled the frame then installed the glass. The proper method is to"PRIME" the whole frame completely with a exterior OIL BASED primer... including in the grooves for the glass. Then after a few days of the primer drying and curing...then seal with your chaulking material...then assemble the frame. I would also recommend not using a 100% Silicone in the groove because if some gets on the face of the frame the finish coat of paint will not stick/bond! The finish coat will continually dispurce...the oil primer will give the frame added protection on all sides from any moisture. We used to oil prime exterior facure boards front back and edges for added protection on new construction. Of course today 🙄 😒 money/time is the bottom line. FYI...Das 😎all! ❤👍Nice job guys!👍😎

Can't see how the building will stay level without proper concrete footings or a base.
That’s an easy fix, it isn’t like it’s a big structure
The deck footers got more stability than the building. Given the level of detail in everything else that was an odd omission.
He had concrete footings and a stable ground base. The ground is already stable and settled. It's hasn't been dug out so it's a solid base.
Even if a footer did sink, this thing isn’t that heavy they could shim

Там кроме тренажёра ещё и свободные веса(штанга) есть - при хороших нагрузках и таком фундаменте гулять всё будет весьма неприятно. В Москве и Московской области парни жалуются на гуляющий профессиональный помост eleiko, а тут даже любитель имеет шансы почувствовать нестабильность.

That's a mini House for some one. Could have made a Granny house, if had made it a bit bigger with toilet and kitchen area.

It still can be used as a small residence/cabin, studio or office. But obviously for now, he wants it as a gym.
I know people who converted whole garages in into a carpeted room and full of free weight lifting equipment and other exercise equipment, then built on to the back of that two three sided open rooms for painting equipment, paints and thinnerand such.

It's nice. One of the few things that really bothers me is the angles of the front entrance porch. I think he should have gone with 45° angles.
As a painter of 20 years, I never use a sprayer on the outside. Not unless you plan on spraying it 5 times you aren't putting any paint on. Several people that I know have bought a really nice house, gated community, and wonder why they are having problems in 5yrs or so. I really do like the overall design....

Нет фундамента. Зачем ради одного тренажера все это строить? Не понимаю. У нас говорят , "мартышкин труд".
Стоило так надрываться чтобы в конце -концов в этом теремке железо тягать? Если по российским ценам, то вся хижина обошлась недёшево, а цель строительства прямо таки убила! Вон, за забором деревья растут. Подтягивайся на ветке, качай мышцы на свежем воздухе. Результат тот же! Ну, ничего... Супруга быстро превратит теремок в кладовку. :)))

Also wool doesnt breathe and a moisture barrier needs to breathe to let moisture out. Going to mold.
I think we might need to be more specific with what we call DIY. 😂
I would recommend next time using a small airless paint sprayer. That little cup gun probably had to refilled every 10-15 minutes and most likely took forever. An airless fits in a 5-gallon. Bucket of paint and you don’t stop spraying until you’re done or the bucket is empty

These materials that you use are way more expensive than build it with cement and panels for roof but still very beautiful and really professional work

I was tripping on the lack of cross supports in the sub floor.... i know it can be done depending on how thick the subfloor was...guess depends on city building codes

personally i would use 1x4 or cheap plywood cut in 4 wide and put on bottom of joist then the Ridgid foam board the 4in stip provide support and keep from slipping out the bottom before having chance to seal edges

Some have said…A gym membership would have been cheaper. But now that it is finished…it belongs to them. They can go anytime to their own personal gym and workout. They don’t have to share or wait for a machine. Sit down in someone else’s sweat because they didn’t wipe the machine down. I think their private gym was a brilliant idea!

We don't have those blocks in the uk so maybe its all fine?
In regions where there is no freeze-thaw cycles, and the earth is firm enough, they'll be just fine for a shed like this. Would not be suitable for heavier structures.
Not putting it on a permanent foundation is a way of circumnavigating building code in America. No permitting involved with this build. You might act like that’s a bad thing, but it’s a principle called Freedom.
Definitivamente lo que vemos cada día la tecnología de la construcción avanza pero con diseños de caducidad o de poca duración y material fácilmente inflamable a parte que los hogares tienen un tamaño tan reducido que parecen un gallinero o pensado para una sola persona sin familia. De paso, se puede decir que no es tan económico. En este caso fue un gimnasio, pero también se les ha visto en otros videos construcción como hogar de residencia.
