Ladies, try not to be home alone with any kind of repairman. I am a grandmother (old and dumpy) and was shocked when a repairman cornered and groped me. Thankfully it didn’t go any further than that and I was able to get away from him. Police report filed and the lumberyard which recommended him was notified. I told a couple friends who said they would be glad to come be with me the next time any kind of repairman had to be in the house. Please be safe and call a friend!

And ladies..... keep your faces out of your phones while walking around. Keep your head on a swivel, be alert of your surroundings at ALL times. If you wear those ear pods to listen to your music, only wear one, so you can hear your surroundings. Never leave your purses in the front seat while pumping gas. Immediately lock your doors upon entering and exiting. Don't wait for your doors to automatically lock as you pull off, it could be too late. If someone that looks like they're coming to do harm, blare your horn, it will definitely draw attention your way. Always check your backseat before entering. Look under your vehicle, yes, there has been incidents where the bad guy hid under a vehicle. Always have your keys readily available to enter your vehicle, don't go searching in your purse. Carry personal protection of your choice and don't be afraid to use it. If there are vans parked next to your drivers side, do not enter your vehicle, go back inside and ask security guard to walk you to your vehicle and able to get in safely. If you have a child/children with you, DO NOT PUT THEM IN VEHICLE while loading your groceries, keep them by your side at ALL times. It only takes literally 2 seconds for them to be grabbed. Do your best not to be out alone after dark. Never think, "it can't/won't happen to you ". Watch out for panhandling/beggars approaching you/your vehicle, you don't know who has ill intentions. Do not sit around in your vehicle scrolling and/playing on your phone. If you need to respond to a text, do it inside the premises you just came out of. If you need to answer a call or make a call, put your phone on the stand, hit answer and pull away. Distractions is your number 1 enemy. Ladies, if your going out to party, stay in groups, go to bathroom in pairs or more, never alone. Women and children are getting raped in bathrooms. Never leave your drink unattended, never accept a drink that was not only watched being made, but also handed to you by the bartender. You have to be vigilant, ladies!! Take charge of your safety, not everyone is nice just because they smile at you or even pay you a compliment. Smile back, thanks for the compliment and move on. Sex trafficking, rape, kidnapping and murder is REAL and again, never think it can't happen to you. Teach your friends, family members, your children all these safety tips, please. Just another tip: Not ALL neighbors are worthy of your confidence. Luckily, my family is solid. Bottom line-trust your gut.

Also beware of people who are Narcissistic, Sociopathic and Pathological Liars. I have encountered all these types. They like to play on people’s emotions. Tell them nothing about yourself. These people are extremely dangerous! And will do what they can do you harm! I encourage folks to research their personality traits.
