Small problems sorted them all out myself.

I-knob( take out, open and solder joints at couplers with fine solder iron)

The 2nd Generation E70 BMW X5 2006 - 2013 Were Great.
If I was looking for an E70, I'd probably go for the base RWD 3 litre petrol... The others are just too risky... I do however prefer the E70's interior to the old E53 X5 as it just looks nicer and is better quality in my opinion...

Cheers Martin. I couldn't find any information about a RWD model, I wonder if they didn't sell it in the UK. The interior is really nice in this X5. I've not made my mind up on what I think about the E53 exterior looks vs this car - I think the old one looks like a big toy, which is kinda cool. The E70 looks more like a grown-up proper modern car 😄
@@JJonCars I think the base model was an N52 RWD, though these were rare
E70 diesel has the M57 diesel engine which is probably the most reliable diesel of all time
@@Tele302 Not really... The internals are strong but they do suffer from some pretty big issues, which is why I'd rather go for a petrol model...
@@MartinJones123 tell me what the problems are as I’m in the market for one. Everywhere I’ve looked they’ve said the usual diesel problems such as carbon building , EGR and DSG problems (typical of diesels) just delete them , and swirl flap problems which I’d sort out anyway

I think you would need to be careful to buy one in good condition with service history that has been looked after. And keep aside some money for repairs if and when they are needed :) Thanks!
I was going to get a BMW X5
But looking at parts, servicing cost, insurance and fuel.
I bought a Volvo XC70 with 18k miles.

If you love suboptimal then yes, buy it.
Otherwise a 3 or 5 Series Touring would be : cheaper, much nicer to drive, more comfortable, faster, uses less fuel, better for the environment, and classier.
But but but commanding view of the road 😄
I wouldn't be a big fan of BMW because of reliability and cost of repairs. but if i buy an suv probably would be a Vitara only weights 1.2 tons lighters then some hatchbacks and you can get good mpg and they have a great boxy van type shape and you can get it in all wheel drive as well
Good shout. That's very light for an SUV type car, and I've seen them do well off road

Maybe the hard ride is because of those awful runflat tyres. I bought a 2012 earlier this year. Got regular tyres. Great car.
There's a Saab for everyone! A few others have said that about steering, I guess all the Saabs I drive have broken steering...

Hello JJ, let me ask you a question. What is the value of this 13 year E70 BMW X5 used car in the UK? I bought this American version in 13 years and have been using it in China without any problems, but it has been a long time and I have been considering whether to sell it! Questions from China.
Hello. I think in the UK it is worth around £14 - £15,000. But it will probably be different value in China!

The reason I watched this video it’s because a friend of mine want to buy this car as first car so I have never bought a BMW X5 or X6 so it’s interesting to see a perspective by buying a used car like this suv’s

The worst car to buy. Make sure you have a few thousand saved up because it’s will be in the garage almost monthly. If your income is low please stay away from this car. If you are mechanic and just want to playing with car while changing part weekly then buy it.
Yes, it's not a car for you if you don't have the funds to maintain it/keep it on the road. Though not sure I agree about it being the worst car to buy haha
