This song hit me so damn hard, and honestly, I cried too. My ex boyfriend is currently serving a 12 year prison sentence for domestic violence against me. I've opened my eyes, seen his disguise and I will never see him the same way again. I won't stand down! This is my anthem for staying strong xxx
Operatic metal. Muse is a group you can't put in one genre. From the old albums to this one coming out soon, they've never sounded the same. This is the more metal they've even been and the producer said the album was gonna be even heavier. Muse is the GOAT!!
As a long time muse fan, and a long time rap fan as well, it's great to see you appreciate this for what it is, muse have always been 'musician's musicians' the music they create is usually, even if not pleasing to your ears, conceptually interesting and unique. Personally I adore everything they do.
And I love it!!! Absolution is just a masterpiece, every music an unique experience, I dare to say it's a perfect album, even though perfect things don't exists, at least before I heard it.
Thanks for the reaction guys . I told you you wouldn't be disappointed. Been a huge Muse fan after i saw them at a music festival in 2003 n have been hooked since. They are such a great band especially live. You should definitely checkout some more of their stuff but make sure to do live performances. Hysteria, Assassin, The Handler and Muscle Museum are a good place to start. Thanks again guys🤘
Dead Star, Hysteria, Stockholm Syndrome, Assassin, Micro Cuts are heavier songs, I think. But if the news, that this track is one of the least heavy on Muse's new album, is true... Then we are in for a treat.
@@FeelMyFerret ... I'll give you 'Hysteria.' Lyrically, at least. None of them hit me as being as hard *musically* though. Might just be me, I guess. 🤷♂️
I absolutely love this song! I heard of Muse before but never listened to before. Awesome vocals...mesmerizing voice for sure. Definitely a piss off song. Thank you for sharing. Have an awesome day!🌹
I think, growing up with Muse, and them being the same age as me, and discovering them so early, they've (helped) shape(d) my life, and I'm forever grateful to them for it. After I became a young adult I wasn't that active going to concerts anymore but I have my periods, intermittently. It's so weird but also great to see them evolve and grow - not necessarily in a linear direction, but rather... all over the place, just like me, and many others I guess. Bottom line is... they're really intelligent and also have impeccable ideals I think; we *NEED* them to exist, for the good of humanity... Just my 50 cents (maybe pUnintended)
Interpretation; it seems most folk completely miss the meaning behind the lyrics. The track has another title; 'Living Vicariously', & may be better described by a phrase from the song itself; 'Psychological Warfare'. For it's about a world-wide psychological warfare between a few old men (the old dude in a wheel chair) & the mindless masses (represented by those under his control). So the one singing the words is standing firm - outside the visuals - getting stronger by refusing to 'stand down', which is what he would be doing by joining in the system of manipulation by the slave-master over the masses of mindless slaves. An outstanding song with incredibly intelligent lyrics by a most relevant band.
Love the way you talk on this show, giving hints on the titles, guessing what kind of music they fall into, talking about riffs, etc and love hearing you talk about wrestlers too 😂 you two seem really genuinely nice guys. So I'm going to subscribe , hi from England/UK 🏴🇬🇧🙋🏻♀️💖
"Mr. Hughes!" "You see what I mean?" 💀💀💀 y'all are too much lmfao. Looking forward to this reaction, I've been obsessed with this song since the damn teaser we heard in Instagram
Hope the new album has this power! I’m completely hooked with this song. I think this is the heaviest Muse song, even they have some awesome riffs and drums in many albums
Muse has used of big thick riffs in their time that have a groove/nu metal nature just played lighter and more electro rock but if you played them in more metal tuning they would fit on an SOAD track. This is the first time I’ve heard them fully go into metal riffage, really intriguing perhaps Matt has been enjoying some of the more electro metalcore of late.
Isn't Tom Petty "Won't _Back_ Down"? Anyways, been a fan of Muse since 2000 and I love this song so of course I click when this comes up in suggested. I believe I've seen you react to other stuff I like before too, I know your faces. Also I just noticed a squid in the background lol. Have a nice day guys
I feel like this would be a fun one to be in the mosh for! Fingers crossed they come back to NZ, though haven't been back here since coming here 5 times in 6 years (Big Day Out 2004/07/10 & their own tours in 04 & 07 all of which were amazing FYI) so not holding my breath with viddy craziness still lingering everywhere!
Muse piqued my interest enough to take a few short strolls through some of their catalog but, I get distracted easily, so…….oh yeah! I need to take another stroll! 😆 Thanks!
I tried to get tickets to Coldplay who is coming to my country, Malaysia, but it's sold out. I saw Ed Sheeran and his concert was sold out. Muse is coming to Malaysia too and you can bet I am going. But I think they are more popular in Europe than in Malaysia because their concert is not sold out here.
Great track. Wonder if this song is similar to a song that Black Sabbath did on their sabotage album and queen did based on or referring to management or record company people deceiving them somehow and this is their way to get back at a single person or group in the music world 🗑️🗣️4️⃣🧬
the gerne is muse ;) saw them live 5 times, then didnt listen to them for years cuz they started doing way to poppy stuff but they are back on track again with this one
Queen (back in their day) could definitely. If you want to see an insane crowd.. there is a live Metallica video from Russia that is absolutely bonkers in size.
Not a bad track imo. Honestly it's hard to REALLY vibe with this when you've listened to their earlier albums! Some of my favorites of all time 💯 If you haven't checked out Origin of Symmetry/Absolution/Black Holes and Revelations they're musts!
Naturally they are Alternative, Progressive rock pretty much. They only genre of music they haven't covered is rap. They try virtually different genre every album, and pull it off. Plug in baby live next for u guys
My personal top 5 stadium sell outs have been 1.Muse 2.Slipknot 3.Marlyn Manson 4.Manic Street Preachers 5.David Bowie ... All put on incredible shows but Muse are always going to be No.1

Muse make no two albums the same. They are truly unique and there is so much for you to discover. Love the riffs on this one.
This new album will be for old school fans, they promised that years ago.
Super excellent Muse génie phénomènal
The genre is Muse. No one is like them. They can do anything.
Oui complètement d'accord avec vous ils sont unique
Foo Fighters/RHCP = Led Zeppelin (modern age)
Muse = Beatles/ Rolling stones by themselves

Muse going back to the epic Absolution vibes with a breakdown & heavy guitars. This is a banger of a track
And I love it!!! Absolution is just a masterpiece, every music an unique experience, I dare to say it's a perfect album, even though perfect things don't exists, at least before I heard it.
Guns and Roses sell stadiums here in Australia
