  • Hyderabad International Airport at Shamshabad - Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, located 22 km from the city of Hyderabad, in India named after former prime minister of India, Rajiv Gandhi. The airport is being completed in various phases, once completed, it will be able to provide much-needed infrastructure to handle large aircraft and international traffic. The airport is expected to be the best in the country and will house world-class facilities. The airport is being developed to cater to a total of 12 million a year and will in the final stage be able to cater to 40 million passengers a year. The total cost of the project is Rs 2,300 crore (US$560 million). The airport will be built on an area of 5,400 acres (22 km²).
