    Just letting people know that when he says that he was “arrested” he means that the police stopped and asked questions. Just a quirk of French/English translation.

      With the pedal setup I see you have to keep the chain pretty snug or it's going to slip. But the downside is too tight of a drive chain will wear out parts, chain or break. It's better to be on the loose side and have the chain to pop off and replace if chain gets bent from coming off. Also running too tight will cost you friction and power. On my motorized bike I put it together with no instructions because it didn't have any instructions when they first come out. So I called many of motorcycle and ATV places and ask them what is the minimum to maximum drive chain slack. And they all said over all it's better to be too loose than too tight. And they told me what I said earlier. And they give me a rough idea what the chain slack should be. Mine is a hybrid bicycle pedal power, gasoline 4 stroke engine or both. When I had the drive chain to snug I couldn't pedal it 12 foot. When I loosened the chain and the top chain slack measurement had .500" min. - 1.850" max. chain slack. I could pedal on flat ground and up some steep short hills it really made a difference. For security I need to make a long handle chain security back wheel lock tensioner so no one can ride or drive off or push bike away without picking up the back wheel or carrying it. A motorized bike is just like a bicycle but on the left side sitting on the bike it has the motor jack shaft and rear sprocket but it only has a solid roller plastic wheel adjustment the drive chain rides on from the factory no spring loaded roller chain tensioner adjuster. I let the chain get too much slack in it once and dropped off a curb and the chain popped off. luckily I was able to put chain back on and ride for many more months. until I let chain get to much to much chain slack again chain come off and bent the chain so I just got another chain. It's a lot easier to replace the chain from being too loose. than the sprockets, Jack shaft, chain, clutch and everything touching the chain from chain to tight. But these electric motorcycles go a lot faster more chain friction wear so you probably want to keep less chain slack and by the manual specification book. I'm thinking about something with some more power possibly. but I would rather have a four-stroke with a long exhaust with a few mufflers to keep it quiet, bicycle pedal power for exercise and to keep it under the category of a bicycle. so I don't have to have license, taxes, tags for life. I know more things are leaning towards electric power but I just wonder if these electric bikes sort of like electric cars will be worth fixing and lasts for many years like old motorcycles that have lasted for one's lifetime. I've seen the videos the electric bikes are faster and not even allowed at some tracks because they have the winning competitive edge. But with better and better technology like stereo equipment, electric cars, cell phones will the older electric motorcycle - bicycles be thrown away for newer technology at a cheaper price? Or will the electric motor be replaced back with a gasoline engine down the road?

    I went back and watched the talaria video slowly and yes the gearbox is in place of the jackshaft... so no kaniwaba pedal kits unless maybe you did just electronic pedal kit with no power pedal I think that may work as long as the bracket sizes are the same and the width... otherwise this will be the only pedal kit option for the talaria, again tho is it the same width would the surron version like this be the same as the talaria version like this??? You can maybe do some type of double sprocket and then the power pedal kit would maybe work... just some ideas

    • @GroovyVideo2
      @GroovyVideo2 3 года назад +1

      sprocket centerline is same as swing arm pivot -
      less slack needed than regular MC - 12 mm or 1/2 inch
      nice design but hassle to change front sprocket -
      keep chain lubed - makes big difference

    Do you think the pedal kit is worth it and ideal to have for legitimacy & does it ride much different then having just the pegs on it ? I’m out west in Canada and wanting to ride the paths and mountain bike trails, I’m thinking it’s best to get a pedal kit to cause less attention, or is it even really worth it ya figure, as you’ve had one ? Also I’ve heard it’s a bit louder with the peddle kit on vs pegs on.
