I remember in my childhood, around 15 years ago this place looked more stunning...dmart was newly opened....haiko had small stalls in front of its entrance....galleria had an entire different vibe than now!!

Unfortunately Powai is also crowded with many offices and s kysrapers opening up here. There is a lot of traffic but still people are great and a place worth living. The coming Metro will make it more accessible.

Great place to live in but need just more advancement in road traffic system with proper lane markings, signals, speed limit sign boards and proper parking spaces. And not to forget honking should be prohibited.

Anybody can enter this area like a public place but the apartment blocks have separate set of security guards to monitor the movements of people. You can roam around on the roads but not enter the apartment blocks without the permission of the security.

@@vikasbiliye5023 in Bangalore here are many areas which are totally unguarded but yet nobody creates any problem or ruckus. If at all something goes wrong police arrives in time and resolves the matter. Hence most of the residential areas here donot have any security guards (excluding apartments. Here I am talking about houses built on independent plots)

This area can be a no honking zone too. All it requires the drivers to be patient and aesthetic direction and address sign boards.

@Liam Lite yes we need architectural excellency but our buildings should not look like Europe or America but instead should reflect indian architecture so the world takes notice of it and want to visit our country rather than we visit their country. Copying Europe and America to make our cities look cool like this only shows inferiority complex.
