    I'm about to head out on a cross country road trip and I feel so much more confident now! Lavender really helps me calm down so I'm gonna go pick some up and then make myself an anti panic attack playlist :)

    Gum (prevents me from grinding my teeth when I get nervose), sweaters!!, headphones and my phone (an escape). Nail polish and nails painted (I peel my nail polish off normally 1 manicure a day, when I get nervous) rubber bands and hair ties (they make me feel safe) hand sanitizer!( an escape and helps me when I'm nervose and germss) journal (I write and draw when I'm bored if I'm bored to long I'll get super sad writing helps) there's more but I can't remember now.

      Also water. It keeps me busy cause I sip on it and won't freak out

    The minty stuff really works. I have an e-cig and I put rose and spearmint in it (the flavor). I also use eucalyptus a lot in baths and lotions when I'm having trouble with anxiety or trouble sleeping :)

    for anxiety if you ever feel lonely or bored I recommend getting this book called Wreck This Journal at Barnes and Noble I do not know who the author of the book is but there are a lot of fun activities and craft ideas and I just thought it would be something fun you could do when u feel alone 😊

    1. A bag with a passport/wallet sized pocket so I never get anxious that I've forgotten my passport, wallet, or flight ticket!
    2. Pillow Pet Mini-- Cute, small, and definitely beats the airport pillows. Having an item from my bed at home can help me sleep better while travelling.
    3. Bottle of Rescue Remedy, which is great for anxiety attacks, and allowed on planes!
    This is a great video! I may make one of my own and give you credit for the idea.

    My travel things are for general trips.Vape (E-Cig), iPod, Ipod charger, two external batteries (for two devices), my iPhone of course, bottle of drink, some snacks, earphones, my Nintendo 3DS (I do play a lot of Pokémon and Fire Emblem), make up, hair brush, my dairy, a book to read, some pens for my diary, my reading glasses, and my 'Travelshy' (My tiny version of my Fluttershy plush my boyfriend bought me for comfort), my tampons and pads, tablets for headaches, some Vitamin C boost for either emergency sickiness or for if I feel very weak after an massive anxiety attack, which happens often.
    I often get told I carry a lot of stuff, but even so I need all those things.

    I always need: A sweatshirt (im constantly cold), chapstick, 3 pairs of earbuds and two headphones cause I'm scared I will lose them. iPod and phone and MP3 for music. BOOKS!! A scarf and fuzzy socks. Hair scrunchie cause hairbands can be self harm for me so yeah. that's a lot 😂😂

    music keeps me sane on my bus journeys to and from school as it takes an hour and a half one way so 3 hrs of travelling on public transport a day isnt fun! i love mints/minty things so i think im going to start taking mints with me to see if that helps on days where in feeling super anxious! Great video kristen :)

    I get anxiety when I go through an airport big crowds have always caused my anxiety attacks so I bring a coloring book to calm me down and I also listen to music which helps a lot :)

    I love how you brought up music. I have really bad anxiety, and music always calms me down. especially mid anxiety attack. school started up a month ago, and this is my first year in highschool, and its very stressing for me. im constantly around at least 20 people at a time, who are all poking me and calling me out for things. ive bee having a lot of anxiety attacks lately because of that. I also haven't been able to listen to my music, because my phone hasn't been working with my headphones and I cant afford an ipod or new phone for music. my friend sky (who I met this year at school through our love of music) discovered how music calms me down, and messaged me after school yesterday, telling me that she was charging her old ipod for me to listen to when im stressed. and since we have the same favorite bands, it already has all of my favorite songs on it. hopefully it will help me through my tests today and tomorrow.

    Mints are the only reason I got through finals. If you put enough in your mouth it kind of hurts but also washes out everything else going on and lets me focus and reground myself. I'm going on a 13 hour plane ride in two weeks - I'll use the mint to help me then too!

    im in a long distance relationship with my fiancé at the moment and I travel 10+ hours on a bus and ferry to see him and I have really bad anxiety like everyday (which is hard enough to cope with as it is) and I agree with the mints they help a tonne! and my anxiety flares up especially when the bus/ room is really warm or stuffy and I find drinking or eating in general help calm me also I find that sitting near a window helps (the view is a distraction) and I bring a blanket with m a smallish one and when I cuddle it it helps to :)

    Lavender Vanilla Lotion. My mom got it for me a few years back, because she's always reading stuff for me on the internet. She said Lavender is really calming and she was right. I just put some on, listen to music, and close my eyes.

    if you bring a coloring book and some colored pencils to school you can color at lunch, or during a study block (that really calms me down)

    I found this video super informative and helpful. Also it's nice to see another Christian's tips and feelings about anxiety.
    My favorite travel anxiety items are gum (A new favorite of mine. There is a study that says that the process of chewing let's your brain know that you are safe because you wouldn't be eating if you were in a dangerous situation.), water with magnesium and protien packed snacks, my phone and headphones (A great distracter and I can read bibles verses and helpful anxiety tips. Also I enjoy writing and that helps my anxiety anxiety lot), lavender scented things, and motion sickness bracelets.
    (Sorry I kind of wrote a lot)

    I chew gum when I'm upset or stressed or anxious. My favorite is bubblemint or juicy fruit. It helps having your favorite things

    Im flying to Europe in two days, and i hate flying! Last time i flew i had an anxiety attack before going on, and it was just not fun. So I'm watching videos to help me prepare. I'm planning on downloading lots of netflix shows, listening to music, reading my book, and eating the snacks im bringing.

    You can get stress relief hand sanitizer at bath and body works now and it’s peppermint! Also lip balm and other things

    aahh I adore your videos!!!. And you're right on the mint/peppermint things, it helps me too!!, gum mostly, it helps me to be concentrated on chewing and it helps. Also writing down on my journal or just keeping up with a book I'm writing, it helps me to focus my mind on something else and it helps a bit to let it all go away.     For me chewy sweets like starburst and mentos are great but also boiled mints are amazing (I love mints as well since they make me feel a bit more refreshed) and calming scent sprays are a necessity

    By goodness I wish I watched this before I went on my trip to London alone with my friend, I might have avoided that panic attack on the bus which was horrible because It was a sleeper bus and I was underneath a compleate stranger as me and my friend got separated so ya know you try and be as quiet as you can when you are panicking to high heaven. I thought I was anxiety prepared but I really was not. It was my first time out of Scotland, I was alone, away from home and my friend was 3 bunk beds away and my music only did so much to distract me. I need to make a list because we are meant to be going back in the Summer.

    You know what I like that helps me? I have a pretty cheap plastic charm that I found laying on the ground that I now wear around my neck with a piece of red floss. Just knowing that I have a feeling of luck brings my anxiety down a bit because I think on a universal sense someone out there is looking out for me....

    Yes, I get VERY ANXIOUS while traveling, more than anything else - my palms sweat and my heart races, I feel very uncomfortable, and just cannot wait to get back home.

    I loved this video! it was so helpful and I travel a lot so thanks for sharing this. my anxiety travel essentials would be gum and music too as well as something familiar from home such as a diary or photos on my phone. another thing is keeping the same routine, if that makes sense so its as if I am still at home and getting ready for bed or in the morning the same way as I would at home as weird as that sounds.

    Mint essential oils help cool you down in hot weather. You can put it on the back of your neck and wrists

    I take a fidget cube, silly putty, a coloring book w/colored pencils, and earplugs when I travel. I would also take my cat with me... if I could. 😅

    I need to have my emergency meds (alprazolam and hydroxyzine), despite not having an actual motion sickness (rather travel anxiety kind of a thing) I take my ginger honey motion sickness meds, you can suck on them and they really calm you down, I need to have a book (though they make me dizzy, I just need to have one in car, just because), sketchbook, notebooks, pencil case with all of my art supplies, pens and all that good stuff, phone, mp3 player with audiobooks and music, painkillers, chewing gum, some biscuits, WATER, something warm and soft to hold onto. That's pretty much it, I need tons of stuff to feel grounded :v

    I love to take when I way is my iPad and phone because it has my fav music and games and movies and t.v shows and I also have a small kit I take and it has hand cream hand sanitiser and hair bush and hair pins and hair ties and a pack tissues and body splash and tic tac and my portable phone charger

    mine is eucalyptus oil, i think its pretty much something minty too because it adds menthyl salicylate and menthol and spike lavender in it.... yes lavender... maybe you can add this kind of aromatic as variation...

    I wish I would have seen this before I came back home ! I was really fidgety and I had to keep my head down and be in a corner. It got better later on, I had my brother with me to calm me. I just needed a distraction . I drink a lot of juice to help me. I can't have water. Has to be juice. I will try some of these ideas like the candy to see if it helps .

    I'm not at all religious, but I love the Bible, I tend to read the pages where Jesus gets incredibly angry and destroys the market because it reminds me that even people that high up can get angry, the embodiment of god gets angry.

      im in the same place but my anxiety kicks in when im at the location. Im fine on the planes and everything that doesn't worry me. Its when im at the destination and what happens if something goes wrong or stuff like that.

    Pausing at hand sanitizer. Her talking about minty stuff. I'm the opposite. I've kinda moved past it now, but sometimes it still hits me, and I mean Hits me, Hard. It's only eating, but anything minty can Really get me anxious. I know why, but wont go into it. I realized this when about a year ago I was in class (a writers course) and we were working with senses and we all got a piece of gun to chew (and an assignment to do with it) and GOD. I was Not prepared for the sudden out of nowhere panic. I managed to mask it fairly well by writing extremely fast. After that I had huge issues with it for a while. I ate a tomato and it had a slight minty taste to it, BAM Anxiety.
    Tl;Dr I get anxiety sometimes from eating anything minty.

    I have anxiety when i travel over the summer (im 15) and we take our motorhome but my parents always say to me you gonne bring your whole room? because im always afraid im going to forget something so i literally take everything and pack 2 weeks in advance to make sure i dont forget anything

    When I traveled to Chicago to meet Shane Dawson, I had anxiety when we got into the building because I was worried if we were in the right spot or the right line. The lady with the microphone didn't help either because I couldn't hear one word she was saying

    I'm scared of planes I'm scared that there will be a bunch of turbulence and i will crash one time a girl i sort of became friends with until we started to land she could tell i was getting scared and nervous and i was watching a movie on the plane and she randomly just touched me i was like AH and i looked at her i was like "oh... what do you want?"
