I'm a Floridian. You never get used to the heat and humidity. Every summer I cut my hair and that helps me to not feel so overheated. When you get in your car, open all your windows and blast your ac for a minute to make your car more comfortable. Tint your windows if you have the money. Always keep a bottle of water with you. Wear as much 100% cotton clothes as possible. And wear sunglasses to protect your eyes! Hope you love Florida. ❤

I would agree mostly but I think some of these modern moisture wicking fabrics can be even cooler than cotton in some cases.

I'd pick the pink planner. The tabs are a must for me after getting one a few years ago. So much easier to flip to monthly view to add future appointments.
I had a trapper keeper! 80s/90s girl here :) Totally Saved by the Bell vibes. I love the cheetah print. Girl I like the blue planner with the ribbon. haha yes I love the smell of books.

I have used both... I like the spiral one best... I use a lot of stickers or draw on the daily stuff too... like Birthday Cakes, appointments etc

I have bought so many of those binders, journals,budgeting books and stuff but with my ADHD I never use them! They just end up piling up. Younarw ao funny and you don't even realize it 😂

I know you found your OG planner 🙏🏼 but if your getting an additional one for this year…the pink! My rationale -you you can turn the pages over so it’s still the same size. Especially being in the car or cafe, restaurants you don’t have a open notebook taking up twice the space. Happy planning 👌🏼

I really like the pink one the best. When you held up the blue one first, I thought that I was going to like the blue one the best, because I loved that shade of blue. But after you described how the pink one was laid out, I decided that I liked it the best. But, I am sure that you know which one will work best for you 🤷🏼♀️

Pick the blue one. The spiral ones can get easily messed up and crease easily and will be heavier if you decide to travel with it.

I'm working at a summer camp and its been so warm that even the cabins are 80 degrees at night
I live in south Alabama, 1mile from the al/fl state line, run any important errands then do outside stuff. Cause legit after you're in the heat nothing but a cold shower helps. At least for me. 😊 I love your videos!

There is absolutely no way to get used to the humidity in Florida. I have been a Floridian for over 60 years.
My son & grandchildren live in Florida (we’re in KY), we usually always go down for a week in June or July. It’s always miserable, can’t hardly breath outside. But their worth it❤️

It’s funny you mentioned the cash in envelopes to budget. I tried that before it was a thing over 20 years ago. I used regular envelopes with an accounting ledger notebook. Sadly it didn’t work because I was not disciplined enough. I would just use all the cash regardless of what it was planned for. But I wish you the best of luck. Keep us posted on how it goes.

hey Katie. there are a ton of RUclipsrs who do the cash envelope budgeting system. a lot of them sell binders, etc. there are a million different options!
Me personally, in regards to the planner, I would pick the one with the tabs and it is spiral bound so it will sit flat.
I’ve lived in Texas my whole life(San Antonio and Houston). The heat is always miserable. In the hottest months, I stay in AC the majority of the day. I don’t do outdoor activities in the summer unless it involves water or is very early or very late in the day. It’s just too dang hot. The heat is a real danger so stay hydrated and out of direct the sun if at all possible. Too much running around and you’ll catch a heat stroke. Good luck!
Also, if you're trying to save money, go to dollar tree and browse. You'll be blown away at what's in there! Anything from stationary to crafts to cleaning supplies to groceries. If you already knew this, ignore me. :P ❤

You look really pretty with you hair down with the waves!!! The cash envelope system works great if you are disciplined and stick to it ! I'm just like you with the heat and humidity.
It’s just summer time heat. It actually happens like every summer. You will acclimate to the heat in time. Wear a water soaked towel around your neck and if you have a portable fan blow air over your water soaked towel. It’s going to be ok just drink plenty of water and consider an electrolyte drink like Gatorade for example.
I prefer book ones instead of spiral ones because mine would fall apart. 🤗🤗

I live n HUMID Memphis, TN and I survive by not going out in the hottest part of the day, drink lots of water and wear loser fitting clothes, preferably cotton. I used to live in Ocala, Florida and it was humid there as well. You learn to enjoy the indoors until fall. Good luck!❤

Flirida heat felt like getting a sun tan. I am cureently living in lousiana. Lousiana heat is like sauna. I wentbtongo vistit ny family last month, ca to nevada tx and fl. Love it. But i learned to put sunscreen now cuz FL sun gave me sun burned and im a brown azn gal. And i was umm okay well sunscreen it is. I had to put a towel over my head like a hijab cuz the sun was stronggg.
There’s nothing in the world that can make humidity more bearable (that I’m aware of), I’ve lived just south of Nashville, TN and it’s something else 🔥☠️. On a side note tho- I’m low-key excited to see the trapper keeper at Walmart, it hit me all in my nostalgia feels lol

Kati depending on what part of Florida you in but I know of a few Bible believing and preaching churches down there. One is in Jacksonville. I say this as I know you are looking for a good church to go to down there.

it might be a pain to do, consider PHOTOGRAPHING each page of your old beige planner so that you have a second copy of the stuff that you wrote down, then store the photographs on two flash drives, then you have three more copies of the information

Katie, as one who was once buried in paper. I purchased a scanner (Fujitsu) that is very small and fast. My whole life is now perfectly organised and paper free. I also developed a super budget spreadsheets that works beautifully and you are able to forecast things and do a lot of "whatifs" to your financial life.
I can fit all my paperwork for my entire life on a usb stick (but i dont for security reasons) i keep it on an offline encrypted drive, backed up in 3 locations jist in case.
I have even scanned every paystub i have ever reveived from decades back.
My advise: DONT KEEP ANY PAPER ANYMORE. Keep everything electronic and secure. This way you can NEVER lose it.

How do you do this I am amazed !(like where does it go ?) I haven't used a scanner or computer in years and try not to pick up my phone to much ... My life is paper lol 😂
@@j87waldo I scan everything as a PDF and organize all pdfs by subject then date. For example /medical/cardiologist/2022/bills/ thos is where i scan the bills to. I will also scan all the EOBs in this directory.
Or /house/utilities/elec/2022 then name each scan like 2022-01-Statement or 2022-01-Payment etc
At first its a lot of scanning, but after you are caught up, its jist a monthly process.
Once everything is scanned and you have 3 copies of all the scansn I shred everything. I only scan in B&W unless it is absolutely necessary to scan a document in color. I scan at 300dpi which is fine for everything.
I use a Fujitsu ix1500 scanner. I only use Linux, but the o/s does not matter as PDFs are portable
Should have went down there in the fall and winter, it's not as bad.
I was about to comment and say that both the planners were nice but I kept praying throughout the video because I thought I would hate that if I lost my planner and then you came on at the end and said you found your planner. God has been on the case😂 or in this case the planner😅
